  • Hey, kids, today we are making some Halloween luminaries.

  • If you two best for creative cooking and crafty, we're gonna dip back into the I love cooking and crafting Caddy to see what we're gonna work on today.

  • I'm gonna make some Halloween luminaries utilizing my Martha Stewart Craft things, so I think we're going to do two of them.

  • The 1st 1 I I'm going to do.

  • I want to use this gun metal, metallic acrylics.

  • And on my second mason jar, I think that we will go ahead and do a candy corn colored one utilizing pollen, pumpkin and wedding cake colors.

  • We're also gonna use the patterning tape so that we can make sure that we create our layers quite evenly.

  • And, um, of course, a brush from your basic brush set and ready you some foam pound sirs, because I think I'm going to use some of the stencils, um, from the 37 designs to stencils.

  • Since it's gonna be a luminary, we won't really be needing to worry about coloring the jar lid on that.

  • And so we're gonna go ahead and open up the gun metal on and take the top off here if you want to, you can go ahead and use a glove because what we're gonna be doing basically have to refill that.

  • And as we are going to color everything from the rim all the way to the bottom here so your hand will get a little colored up.

  • So, um, the usually we would primer.

  • But I'm gonna make sure that this isn't a super super thick because I want to make sure that when we put our light on the inside that it's going to be able to shine through.

  • The beautiful part about these paints is that they will adhere to basically anything you want to toss at it.

  • And it's so nice and picked.

  • I've talked about that in my another video where it was just so beautiful, and I didn't have to do a second layer of painting on it.

  • Okay, so I painted the base.

  • Now I'm gonna go up and start painting the top here, and we're gonna allow that to try.

  • This is something really, really super simple.

  • The kids really can help with this because, you know, it's really easy cleanup, also as well.

  • We'll let that dry one of the things that I did want to make sure I pointed out to you about these paints are that they are dishwasher safe on glass.

  • So if you wanted to go ahead on and paint one of your mason jars, of course, leaving the lip free so that people will be able to, you know, to drink.

  • If you painted it all the way up through here, Andi did whatever design you wanted to thes could be made into some of the most beautiful decorative mason jars that your guests will be able to drink up.

  • You can use it time and time again because that they are dishwasher safe.

  • We're getting our candy corn one ready.

  • I have out my patterning t on dhe.

  • I am going to romance.

  • The bottom is a little bit less because there's usually a little less white on candy corn.

  • Then there is orange and yellow.

  • So the bottom well, being the white and the middle will be the orange and the top will be the paint that we're gonna make sure that we don't again paints.

  • It's so I think that we won't be able to see through it, but we can go right up to that patterning tape.

  • And then once we remove the pattering patterning tape, then we will go ahead on, um, Phil, that in very carefully, using a much smaller brush than than the one that we are currently using.

  • So since these air gonna be separated by the tape, we can go ahead on and to the next color as well.

  • Cleanup on this is super super simple.

  • The brushes are made out of synthetic and natural bristles.

  • All you have to do is right into the sink.

  • Water takes it off That simple The, um, brushes are also ergonomically, um made so that you don't if you're a crafter.

  • Andi, uh, you do it a lot.

  • And on top of the job that I have, I've already had bilateral carpal tunnel releases.

  • Anything that you confined that's economically made helps quite a bit.

  • If you go to michael's dot com slash Martha Stewart, they have so many different projects that you can also look up last layer.

  • I took off tape and I'm gonna just go straight in from being, um and I'm just gonna go in and very carefully, even everything up.

  • I have my gold metallic acrylic paints and I have the little Stamper here and I have extensive on being cat and I'm just going to punts.

  • Paint on two bats, and sensa will clean up just as easily as the paint brushes.

  • Then these paints come in different finishes.

  • They have satin high gloss, metallic glitter and pearl.

  • So this is the both.

  • I'm using metallic on metallic so very straight up and off and allow that to dry.

  • But there we go.

  • We have our lumet one luminary already done.

  • The other one is still in the middle of drying, but too cute luminaries that we can use.

  • We're gonna put in one of those little led lights that you just turn the switch on.

  • If you enjoy this tutorial, please smash the leg but in.

  • And if you haven't subscribed, please do so I come out with videos every Monday and Thursday.
