I finally found the sake flavoured kitkats!

I looked for these for like a month

People have already made videos about them but I'm like Nooo I wanna make a video~

I don't care if it's like a month after they came out

I finally found them

I think I ended up getting them at a 7-11

It was one of the convenience stores

Apparently they also sell them in Shinjuku Station

But they're always sold out

So if you would like to buy them

You can find this small package of them in convenience stores

So look for convenience stores

Good! So me and Rachel will both test them out

I'm not much of a alcohol drinker

I don't drink much alcohol

But I do really like Japanese sake

I like warm Japanese sake

If I had to choose an alcohol to drink I would probably choose that

I like the flavour of it

So I think these are gonna be good

I don't know what sake tastes like so I won't even know

I have but I don't remember

I dunno, it's kind of similar to vodka? But not as strong?

I don't drink vodka

I'll just tell you if it tastes good objectively

On the package it says that it has 0.8% alcohol in it

Children and people who are weak drinkers should not eat these

I've had the rum raisin chocolates

and they're really strong!

After a while you start to feel warm

It's really funny

I did not know it was actually alcoholic

This package is so cute

It's got sakura on it

And they're all individually wrapped like this

I'm worried it's gonna be really sweet

The last themed kitkats I tried were so sweet

I love the pacakge - "Japanese Sake"

On the back there's a place for a message

If you want to write a love note

So if you didn't wanna give someone the box

Yeah if you're really cheap you can just take one out

Of you could just eat them all yourselves like we're going to

So it looks like they're white chocolate

So maybe they're white chocolate flavour

I'm nervous

OMG wow they really smell like sake

Smells like sugar sake

THAT SMELLS SO GOOD

You know what it smells like? Amazake

Cuz it's sweet and it smells like sake

This does smell like amazake

And I love amazake, does it taste like amazake?

It tastes just like amazake

I did actually! And it does taste just like that

MMM this is amazing

Amazake is like one of my favourite drinks

That's so strange

Japan is really good at getting flavours exact

Which is sometimes bad, when it's something like spaghetti popsicles

Oh man those were so bad

This is really awesome

It's a really good combination

It's not too sweet

I don't think I could eat any more than one of these at a time

Which is good

The matcha ones you can eat like the whole bag

It's really bad (well I can)

Especially if it's frozen

If you don't know amazake, it's like a rice...

Fermented rice drink?

It's like a porridge almost

It's really thick

I'll put a picture of it here so you can see what it looks like

Yeah it's like a really liquidy porridge

It's got chunks of rice in it

It's a little sweet but not super sweet

And it's got a subtle alcohol flavour to it

But you can just buy it in the grocery store

I think anyone can buy it, don't think it has an alcohol restriction on it

I've never looked for it in the store

I didn't know about it until we got up to Akita

Ahh yeah like the heated stuff?

You can drink it either heated or cold

But the heated stuff is so good

I drank some amazake up there that was really really good

So if you're ever climbing Mt. Takao go do that

But these were really freakin good

because they did just come out with these in Japan
