(peaceful piano music)
- Hey guys, how's it going?
I'm Micaela. - I'm Tatsu.
- (laughs) And today is a beautiful day in Fukuoka.
It's gonna be so hot later today.
I think you said what, 28, 29? - Yeah.
- It's gonna get super warm, and we haven't gone out
together in a really, really long time.
We've both been really busy with our own stuff.
Tatsu's been shooting, editing videos for other companies.
When Tatsu quit his job I never expected
that he would, like, sell so fast.
Like people always want him to shoot their stuff now.
It's crazy, he's really busy. - I'm just lucky.
I'm just lucky. - So Tatsu's been really busy
and then for me this week I'm just getting some papers
together 'cause I have to review my visa
which is always a good time and next week
we have a special guest coming to visit us.
Are you excited? (speaking in Japanese)
Very special guest.
I have a friend, a YouTuber friend--
(speaking in Japanese)
I won't say, I'm not gonna say.
Tatsu and I have been thinking, like,
where are we gonna take her, what are we gonna do?
What are we gonna do, like what are we gonna shoot
while she's here?
She's very beautiful, so we want to take photos of her
and stuff right? (speaking in Japanese)
What are you looking at? - Conbini.
- Are you hungry? - No.
- Do you need to stop? (speaking in Japanese)
You look so tired.
Yesterday I took some photos of Lon
and he took like these killer portrait shots.
His expressions were amazing.
Like I feel like he should have his own IMDB,
like actor's portfolio or something
or like a LinkedIn account or something.
I think it's gained about 5,000 likes
since I checked it this morning, 6,000 likes
and then another 2,000 retweets and every time I refresh
there's more people liking and interacting
with the photo of Lon.
It's really, really funny, so good job Lon.
So today finally the weather is beautiful.
It's so sunny and clear and both of us happen to be free
so we're gonna go out and take some photos
and just have a beautiful day in the park.
(relaxing atmospheric music)
Poor Tatsu, I've been telling him for the past two hours,
I'm like, I'm hungry, I'm hungry, are you done?
I'm hungry.
We got really good photos, but I'm also hungry.
(speaking in Japanese)
- Yay, Strawberry ice cream.
I got mixed, Tatsu got Amaou strawberry.
He's already going at it, he's already going at it.
I got half and half.
This is good 'cause I was so hungry.
I think these are really cool.
They sell flower seeds, so if you want to plant
these blue flowers that grow over the hill
like the ones we just saw you can buy them here for 500 yen
for like a pack and they say all you need to do
is give them water and they should bloom.
If we had a garden thing going on at home
I would love to buy these.
Who's hungry?
I'm hungry (laughs) I'm hungry.
So we are looking at places to eat
and I picked up this place at Bayside
which looks like they have lots of fresh fish
and sashimi bowls and it's got a really, really great score
on Google Reviews, so we're probably gonna go check that out
right now and I'm just like looking at all the photos
in the car and getting excited
and trying to imagine what I'm gonna order.
Whenever you get too excited to go to somewhere
and you start planning what you're gonna eat
it usually jinxes it and it's closed when you get there.
Hopefully that won't happen to us today though
'cause this looks so good.
(slow electronic music)
(record scratching) (dramatic horror music)
- [Tatsu] What, what do you mean?
- This is my fault, right? - Yeah, it's your fault.
- It's my fault 'cause I talked about it.
I was like, I wanna eat the kaisen don
and then I was like, but if I talk about it
it will probably be closed, and it was.
(speaking in Japanese)
- [Micaela] Is this what you wanted?
- [Micaela] OK, OK, OK.
(speaking in Japanese)
- [Micaela] Yeah, I think so,
'cause anago is over right there.
(speaking in Japanese)
Ah, ah, OK.
- I think we take one of these trays.
All right, the restaurant may be closed,
but we're still going to eat a ton of fish
because that's what we came here to do
so we'll check back with you in a minute
after we pick up all our food and pay for it
and I'll show you what we got.
(slow electronic music)
Yes, so we've got our choice of sushi nigiri.
I chose a lot, then we've bot a tai sashimi bowl,
and this was 30% off 'cause I guess we're here
relatively late, it's just past 6 p.m.
Tatsu got some tebasaki chicken wings and yeah.
Sushi dinner, I think this is the only meal we've eaten
today though, so we're gonna go big.
And Tatsu, what did you get here, what is this?
- Eel. - Eel, tatsu loves eel.
- I love eel more than my girlfriend.
- [Micaela] More than your girlfriend, wow, I heard that.
(speaking in Japanese)
Yay.
(upbeat electronic music)
