  • Okay, everyone, I'm in Oita now.

  • I'm annoyed of a very special reason.

  • I'm actually going to be going to stay with a family who lives and works on a farm.

  • So this is called a farm stay.

  • And in Japanese, it's no hooker.

  • So I'm gonna be participating.

  • Gonna be enjoying no hooker with this family and having a good time.

  • I brought a lot of stuff.

  • Got my luggage with me because this place like you can't really treat it as a hotel because I'm gonna be staying with the family working with the family.

  • So I brought my own towel, my own toiletries, pajamas, everything.

  • Nothing like a usual hotel gonna do it all myself with the family.

  • Also, I'm here with a very special person.

  • I'm here with Judy rules.

  • They're going to take your greatest oppa's well.

  • But luckily I get to experience this on my own channel with you guys.

  • So let's give me that family mind, Pa Oh, also heads up.

  • The family that was staying with in a lot of families that do this kind of experience might not speak that much English, but I think it's all part of the experience right.

  • Sometimes you do actually get to have a translator like a human translator.

  • Come with you.

  • But it's really good if you did this kind of experience to have translation on your phone or have a little device to bring with you something like that.

  • Hey, I forgot to mention when I first filmed this video, but this video is sponsored by terrorism.

  • Oita I My name I is The clue is the way to come to his critics, Always taking my bag Always running with my bag Took my bag.

  • That's, uh so genki I think it's probably because of all the vegetables.

  • See, Gauri sweet potatoes And we're gonna be eating a lot of vegetables tonight and we're gonna be trying addition.

  • I've never tried before, so it sounds like really exciting stuff.

  • It's Wow.

  • So we've come to the Duchy house and there's I don't even know how to express myself.

  • There's so much going on.

  • There's so many antiques and the house is beautiful, yet it's huge.

  • But there's so many beautiful things to see and we've been taking to this room.

  • What?

  • We're going to be eating dinner tonight on a huh?

  • Have you guys ever said half the half hearth out loud.

  • I've never said it out loud.

  • I feel like I've only ever ready s so I'm only going to be staying at this house for one night.

  • And then tomorrow I believe I'm going to a completely different house.

  • Actually, Oita has over 280 houses that do this kind of thing.

  • This this farm stay now it's kind of confusing with the word farm stay because not all of the places of farms, but they are all in these kind of farming communities and farming towns.

  • But each house is different.

  • Some people might not be farmers, but there is a lot of greenery and farms surrounding it.

  • There's a lot of variety as well.

  • Some of them and near the ocean.

  • Some of them are in the mountains.

  • It's just those heaps to choose from.

  • Another thing, Uh, this kind of experience has been going on for a long time, but it's being for Japanese people.

  • So a lot of Japanese people will come to the countryside and do like a farm stay so that you could bring the kids as well, and your kids can get back in touch with farming and nature if you live in the city but also with this kind of thing, you can get a taste of what it's like to live on a farm and live in this kind of community without making a huge move toe to the countryside.

  • So I think it's a really good system.

  • I've been given some gloves and we're going to go and pick some vegetables.

  • I'm gonna take The cock is it's a bit far away, but I am fixem, daikon, Anything.

  • I haven't picked a vegetable in so long.

  • I didn't know that Daikon grew like half out of the ground.

  • Wow.

  • Huge.

  • Uh huh.

  • Look at the size of this.

  • This is Di Khan.

  • I had no idea that it grew out of the ground.

  • I always still it old, hid underneath ground and then you pull the whole thing up.

  • It's huge.

  • It's massive.

  • It's bigger than the size of my cough.

  • I can't wait to pick some.

  • We're gonna be making dinner tonight with them.

  • That's so big.

  • Like like here we go.

  • Best I got if I can Oh!

  • Oh, my God!

  • Oh!

  • Oh, my God!

  • John Dumbo!

  • Dumbo!

  • It's been coming for a while.

  • There's a bunch of people coming over, and we're gonna eat around the heart hurt on.

  • We've cooked a lot of food.

  • I hope we'll be able to eat it all, but I don't know.

  • Well, I don't know anything that we're cooking that isn't like locally grown or fished or made.

  • Wow.

  • I'm gonna have a feast.

  • So language it is oId a local cuisine.

  • Never had this before.

  • First time smells amazing.

  • And they're now using on top of its that's any an extra layer to the scent way.

  • Theo, it's time to eat like golf camera to eat it.

  • So I'll see you later.

  • So lying in bed, I'm through.

  • I've been tucked in by Mama at the tea.

  • I'm going to sleep.

  • Good night.

  • And I'll see you tomorrow.

  • Good morning, guys.

  • I slept way too well last night.

  • We had breakfast, and then we put away all of the food dawns.

  • You guys know me.

  • And we've seen onions and Di Khan come quartz a type of Citrus.

  • That is great down here.

  • Couple soon use it so much.

  • Okay, so this this mysterious door in the hillside is actually a cellar where they keep a lot of the produce that they're not going.

  • Thio used to make sure that it doesn't rot because it stays the same temperature in here.

  • Wayne.

  • Sweet potato.

  • I'm going to be going to stay with Cohen Osan and I don't know much about his farm.

  • I think we're gonna be making some stuff out of bamboo and gonna be eating lots of tasty rice, so we'll just see how it goes.

  • I All right?

  • So it is my job of this household to make chopsticks and bowls for everyone for dinner.

  • If I don't do it, we eat with our hands.

  • So, uh, we're gonna be making them out of bamboo, so I'm just about to learn how to do it.

  • And the pressure is on us.

  • Do this.

  • What's your thought?

  • Wait, that's the goal.
