I'm cringing slightly because Dan

has a katana sword at my throat level

I actually use this to shave

Even just joking about that makes me cringe

because I know immensely sharp that is

you can see the point just disappear into nothingness

were going to slice up some water bottles

you always see those compilations of satisfying things especially in GIF form

and one of them is just slicing through water bottles with a katana

yeah I mean i'm sure this is sharp enough

it depends on my skill whether I can actually get all through those bottles

how would you rate your skills as a swordsman

not the best I mean you don't really learn it in the army

unless your in the cavalry or an officer or something

here's your katana sword off on the horse yeah yeah off you go

alright lets get to the slicing and the dicing

filming this on the Phantom Flex 4K thousand fames per second

i'v got a long trigger cable so I can be over there

just in case Dan lets go of the sword or

or its cheap and it just slides out the hilp who knows

It got deflected so perfectly

that it just caught this one bottle here

right on the lid and made a little leaky hole

you couldn't have done that if you tried

imagine that 'open this bottle for me' taghhh ' thank you'

ok were reducing the amount to

a measly ten

its not the blades fault

because its just going straight through them

as your blade hits at this angle

it just drives that angle like whatever slight angle you have is just amplified when you go through

it has to be pitch perfect

where it hits and how it hits

to go through all of them

if I'm just even slightly off the angle its completely gone

Its very difficult

think it was about seven

7 that's my record so far that's not bad

right I'm going to hold the sword at a slight

downward angle so that when I swing its going to just

be level instead of going up

It was just holding water

so wait you chopped that and it fell and landed

with water inside

I didn't even realize it had water in it

so you angled it slightly down

which doesn't fit naturally in my hands

it fits slightly wrong

oh my lord every bottle still has water in the top

that was perfect

I didn't knock anything at all it went straight through

some of the bottles barely moved

this one landed with water inside of it

it looks like the bottle has somehow been trapped

in the table

its like Willy Wonkas bottle like x-men'd into the table

before we move onto coloured ones Daniel

now that you'v discovered your true

calling in life

why don't we just put the rest of the bottles up and see how many you can get through yeah

ok so last time it was ten

i'm going to cover the entire table and see what happens

sixteen

its an extra six

its a little bit more pressure

we also switched the camera to 4K

because I want to see the lovely resolution on this one little bit faster

no pressure then no pressure

this is the problem I was looking at that

the last bottle because I was like

that's where i'v got to swing too

to be fair the fact you hit the table then eleven bottles

that's impressive to me

I feel like the technique definitely worked there

It's just I hit the table first

I just sliced it clean off

I wanted to just leave them completely where they were

but because of the pop they kind of bang and explode

so it just goes everywhere

that's how you get ants

every video that goes by the resale value of this goes down

Its like tainting a place

you know the slow mo guys just taint it

Its cool how the empty space clouds up

as they are breached

its amazing how much brighter it gets

like this is quite a dark image

you can see on the histogram as soon as it hits

all the light goes up

is it because the water is reflecting the light

the fizz is just making the liquid lighter than it was

and also you have the sun glistening through it

do you like my little pan there

I figured most of the action was going to go to the right

can't believe I actually managed to get through all those bottles

and it was so much easier when i angled it right

It just felt like butter or nothing

my faverite shot is the shard of table just flying off

too hard too many bottles

very satisfying footage

I can see that perfect one being turned into a GIF

Its nice to look at and i dont know why

and someones going to end it just before it goes through the last one

unsatisfied
