  • it's going on, guys, Today is March 9th and I have some really big updates to talk to you guys about in this video.

  • So just first obsolete, you know that the new episode of Saku News is gonna be up over on the U.

  • S.

  • A dumb, dumb TV channel.

  • So after watching this video check looking down below to us, I got a TV channel.

  • Go over there and watch the news video if you want to check that out.

  • And so actually, the first big point of news that I want to talk about it's also related to us.

  • A Gundam store in that's us gonna store is putting together a expo event later on.

  • This year at the end of August is going to be the Mecca Modeling Expo.

  • I'm going to be there myself as one of the judges and you guys will be able to those of you in the Florida area around there.

  • The Southeastern area of United States will be able to go to the event and produce the bait, so that's gonna be really awesome.

  • That's gonna be held there in Daytona Beach, Florida, where the U.

  • S.

  • A.

  • Gundam store I have the quarters is that they're the dates for that is going to be August 29th and 30th.

  • So we'll have more information out for you guys once it's getting more squared away.

  • When we know more about other guests who will be there, other guests and judges.

  • And also what other kind of events are gonna be taking place there as far as different workshops, our demos, different things like that?

  • And also should let you guys know that, obviously there's going to be there for the gumbo contest.

  • But it is a Mecca modeling Expo, so there is going to be part of the contest that are open just for Mecca modeling in general.

  • So your stuff like frame arms, kids and other things, like any sort of like other MEChA models.

  • There will be categories for that stuff as well.

  • If you want to enter some of that stuff so again, we'll have more details as that's all coming together.

  • I let you guys know, but just one of you know for now, at the end of August, just keep that in mind.

  • If that's something if you're living in the area or even if you're living a little bit farther away if you want to go, I'm hoping that's gonna be a really great success.

  • I'm gonna do everything I can.

  • As obviously an employee of us.

  • I got the store, and as one of the visiting guests and judges there for the event as well, I'm gonna do everything I can as well toe make the event a success.

  • Also so really comport to that.

  • It's kind of just been kind of finalized the least, just like the start of getting that all organized.

  • So it'll be a lot more news related to that's over the next couple of months as we get through all the planning phases for that.

  • So the next thing that I want to talk to you guys about as well, which is also a really big thing that I'm doing here on my channel, is that I'm going to be doing a charity stream.

  • So as you guys know, I did my unboxing video for the PG perfect strike, and it's obviously a lot of kids to build there.

  • So I had been thinking about the idea of doing it as, like one really long live build or breaking it up into sections or something, and I thought, Well, doing it as one really Long live build would be a good chance to take a stab at doing a charity stream, which is something that I wanted to do for a while.

  • I know a couple of their different content creators here on YouTube gun float related ones.

  • Obviously I'm talking about here have done charity streams in the past since there's something that I wanted to try doing as well.

  • And so I figure, doing that with the PG perfect strike well of being a pretty long build process, I'm sure it's gonna be 678 hours around there, if not more.

  • I don't know.

  • We'll see how long ends up going.

  • But it's certainly going to be a long building process, so it's a good chance for us.

  • Thio do a charity stream, and so this as well.

  • Probably in the next couple of days, I'll have another video out more dedicated directly to this topic.

  • We'll talk a little more about the details of the different incentives and the different milestone goals and things like that that's gonna be planning out for this.

  • But just the general information collected guys know about right now is that's going to be this coming weekend.

  • I'm planning on starting that at 7 a.m. On Sunday morning here, local time, so you can check whatever time that's gonna be for you.

  • So if you're living in the US, that should be like Saturday evening going into Saturday night for you guys.

  • So I wanted to start it so that it's not taking place just totally at night there in the U.

  • S.

  • So I'm trying to start it early in the morning here for me, which will be not that late in the day for you guys.

  • They're in the U.

  • S.

  • So again, for whatever the exact time that is for you, it'll be around 5 p.m. Give or take their in the U.

  • S.

  • On wherever you go.

  • Wherever else you are in the world is well, you can check whatever time that's gonna be gonna have planning to start around 7 a.m. Here, local time in Korea and the charity that we're gonna be raising money for is the World Wildlife Fund Australia branch of that is because specifically obviously, Australia recently has been ravished by wildfires there, especially the brush fires there in Australia.

  • If you guys have been following news about, that's been pretty terrible.

  • Eso I wanted that has been on my mind that I was thinking about when I was deciding which charity to do.

  • I thought, Well, that's something that has been, you know, big problem as of late in the world and a lot of friends in Australia and then also just just on a kind of side note as well.

  • One of my childhood heroes when I was young and even still now I was Steve Irwin was always someone I looked up to.

  • I was into wildlife kind of stuff a lot, and I still am to a degree, even though, you know, this is kind of like what I do most of the time.

  • And so I thought I'd just like the connection with that.

  • Like the Well fire is going on there in Australia.

  • Someone do something to help there and then, like Devereaux and was always someone that's always been kind of like someone I looked up to him was sort of hero, in a sense, to me.

  • Uh, Muchas that you get home, we can use that word, I guess.

  • I don't know.

  • It seems kind of cheesy to say as an adult that someone is your hero, but it you guys get what I mean anyway anyway, So, like I said, there will be different incentives and milestones that'll be include with this.

  • So we'll try to make it fun and we'll try toe have some ways that you guys do decide to support to the cause you decided to donate during the live stream.

  • Then there will be some fun things that kind of go along with that.

  • So, as of right now, the charity fundraiser during, say, site page is open so you can actually go and donate right now if you want to D'oh before we even start the Lifestream.

  • I have started opening that today, and I have I'm gonna have that open until the end of the month.

  • So it will be obviously something that will have the stream events going on.

  • But if you're busy that day, or you know, if you can't donate whatever on this particular day, maybe your payday is next week or something like that.

  • Understand?

  • You want to give a little bit of a window.

  • So that's Ah.

  • Aside from the stream being the main event, it is something that will be up at least until the end of this month.

  • So just tell, you guys know about that, but so yeah, I'll have another video in the next couple of days.

  • We'll talk more about the details about that stream, but just want to let you guys know about that.

  • So this coming weekend, hopefully you guys have some time to watching out this dream on and we'll be building up of a great strike and maybe something else as well.

  • I don't know.

  • We'll see.

  • But okay, but moving on a couple of things to talk to you about then?

  • Still, the match in contest notch in custom contest that's ongoing is almost done is now the ninth.

  • The deadline was pushed back to the 20th so that means you guys have just under two weeks left to finish your entries.

  • For that.

  • I've been getting some of the entries, and there's a lot of really cool stuff coming in already.

  • So I know the kid has been still hard to get.

  • Uh, we pushed back the deadline for that because at least for us, that U.

  • S a Gundam store.

  • We had a lot of stock when we announced the contest and like within 24 hours of announcing the contest, we sold out of everything.

  • And then we were supposed to be getting more from the supplier in Japan.

  • But I think like everywhere to sold out overnight and so, like the supplier was, I think there's a little bit suddenly overwhelmed.

  • So we've been really having a little trouble getting the restock of those kids.

  • So I know that the kids have been hard to get for a lot of people.

  • Hopefully any of you who were really dedicated and wanted to get into the conscious, you know, did whatever he had to do to get her hands on a kit so that you could get going on your contest entry.

  • And so I was deciding whether to push the deadline of the contest back more or not.

  • But I decided that I didn't want to just keep delaying it because I know that kids were hard to get.

  • But I figure anyone who was really dedicated to wanting to enter the contest hopefully was able to get their hands on a kid by now at some point and has had enough time.

  • They're little kids.

  • It's not like something that you're gonna be building like for TV WC, like a huge diagram or something.

  • You should have had think enough time a TTE this point to hopefully get entry done by the 20th.

  • So, uh that yeah, it will be ending soon, And I'm looking forward to all the contrast Contest entries should be some really cool ones, I think.

  • And just a reminder, if you guys didn't know about the contest or if you want a refresher about what were the rules, guidelines or the prizes for that, you can check out my original announcement video.

  • And so just again, big thank you to us again in store for sponsoring that contest in the prices and everything and then also copy co models has been really helpful for just getting information out via Twitter thio Any people there in Japan, I'm not sure if we'll end up getting any injuries from any Japanese builders ultimately, but at least the company was very helpful in just spreading the word there on so also moist on the original designer of the notch in design behind the model.

  • He was the original illustrator who designed that, just like a reminder he's got also gonna be one of the judges.

  • So a big thank you to him as well.

  • And that'll be really cool to have him being one of the judges to check all the entries as well.

  • That'd be awesome.

  • So all right, then, the last couple things here just related to the Corona virus, obviously, is a big thing that's been in the news all over the world recently.

  • And I just wanna let you know what's going on with me with that here, at least where I'm well, Corona virus is quite big here in Korea, in general, in the province where I live is actually the least affected so far, so there's only a few cases, even in the whole province where I live.

  • And so it's I'm in a very safe place here.

  • We're still taking precautions, but that also means that's like the school's everything.

  • They've all been delayed here.

  • The school, starting on the school year here in this part of the world, starts from the beginning of March on.

  • So all the schools have been delayed till, like the middle or later in March, and that also affects my kids as well.

  • No, my son and daughter are young, so they don't go to definitely school.

  • My son goes to like a preschool.

  • My daughter goes to like a daycare, but it's kind of like school for really young kids like that.

  • Anyway, one of them have had a time.

  • Now we're because of the virus.

  • They have not been able to go to there perspective schools.

  • My daughter is now going back to her.

  • Is what My son still has another two weeks after already being off for the past two weeks.

  • S o The reason why I'm telling you guys, this is because my kid's not going to school means that they have to stay home, which means someone needs to take care of them during the day.

  • So while my wife's mother has also been helping out, my wife has been helping out as well some of my working time when I'm normally working on content for you guys as of late, and then over the next two weeks as well.

  • Ah, a lot of my working time has been cut down, at least as some degree and not entirely.

  • I'm still getting some time to get some work done for you guys.

  • But my time has been cut down just because I have been having to take care of my son well during the time when he normally goes to school and I have my timeto work here.

  • So obviously as a father, if any of you guys, their parents, you can relate, you know, having to spend more time with your kids.

  • That's not a bad thing that you like.

  • I feel bad about by just while.

  • I do also have my responsibilities here to create content for you guys, which is my job now.

  • So I do want to, you know, be able to make as much as I want to for you guys and make content for you guys.

  • But just understand if the content, as of late and I feel this to the content, probably over the past couple weeks, has been a little kind of bare bones.

  • It's not really anything, I think probably too exciting, just some reviews here and there, and I've been trying to do a couple of live streams.

  • But even, you know, I haven't had a ton of time, too.

  • Really make a lot of, I think really interesting, super interesting content for you guys.

  • So I've been trying my best.

  • But just one of you guys understand.

  • That's what's going on.

  • A lot of it is to do with the Corona virus here, affecting just our daily lives.

  • So it's a little bit hard to keep up with creating a lot of interesting content for you guys.

  • But I'm doing my best to just be a little patient with me for the time being.

  • So and then the last point of news is something.

  • Also, that's maybe a little bit sad news, maybe to some of you.

  • I don't know if you really should feel happy or sad about it either way.

  • But just to let you guys know anyway, is that I was planning to enter D V.

  • W.

  • C.

  • This year, and at the moment I'm starting to lean towards not going to enter D video you see this year, and the main reason is just time constraints Now from now, until Jimmy W.

  • C.

  • In Korea is usually in August.

  • I have plenty of time, but the problem is that I'm planning my whole family were planning to move back to the U S next year.

  • So again, just in case any guys don't know we currently live in Korea.

  • We're planning to move to the U.

  • S next year, and so between now and then, uh, that's not a whole lot of time to really do like all the preparation.

  • And so I feel like just well, maybe be a better use of my time instead of spending months working on one big project.

  • Is spending that time working on various not as big projects.

  • So like doing other smaller Siri's other different, like custom build Siri's with you guys and different kit bashed Siri's and like, Well, all of these things would be things that I would do, including, like as part of my Jimmy D.

  • B C project.

  • I think just doing multiple, smaller projects would be just kind of better for me to adults also, just like help, you know, chip away at my back, look a little bit before having to move, you know, a bunch of stuff to America.

  • I don't think I'm gonna end up taking everything with me.

  • But I do want to take a much as I can And just, you know, getting more stuff built in out of the way before then would be nice rather than just like I said, spending a whole lot of time on just like three kids on.

  • And then also, yeah, just just for the varied content for you guys.

  • I think it would be giving more chance to work on Maur interesting, varied content if I'm breaking that up into smaller things.

  • So, like the trash to treasure Siri's, I want to do a test another one of those, if not two or three, that I could do like in the same amount of time, so more trash to treasure theories.

  • And then just like other different customizing and keep bashing different series of videos to do with you guys and things like that.

  • So I think just just doing smaller projects like that, another different, like just smaller painted bills and things to just help me kind of two way my backlog a little bit like I said before moving, I think that will just be better.

  • A better use of my time for this year just before having Thio move, which is obviously gonna be a big thing to do if you were just in my life in general, but obviously will be affecting just this space as well, too.

  • But that's what I'm thinking for the time being, although I don't know, because I do really want energy BWC here in Korea again, especially before moving back.

  • I can always enter later in the US, too.

  • So I'm like, I'm not too worried about it.

  • The idea that I have I like.

  • So even if I don't decide to do that this year, it's an idea that I can maybe work on for next year or the year after.

  • It doesn't really doesn't matter too much.

  • And so I'm just trying to weigh out the different pros and cons of what I want to enter or not.

  • And for the time being, I'm thinking maybe not to enter.

  • So that's what I think.

  • Let me know what you guys have.

  • Thoughts are down below.

  • Do you kind of agree with my reasoning?

  • Do you understand my reason anymore?

  • Do you think you know I should just go for it.

  • I would love to, but I don't know.

  • There's a lot of things that I would like to do, and so I just I'm not sure if it's the best use of my time to devote that much time to one particular project.

  • Although, you know, if I were to somehow miraculously actually win Korea, Uh, that would be amazing.

  • That would.

  • That's what I would really love to happen.

  • But, you know, even still, there's no guarantee that that would even happen and still unlikely that that would even happen.

  • I would give it my best shot, but you know, there's there's no way to know and it's not.

  • It's less than 50% chance.

  • I would say it's not even 50 50 s.

  • Oh, that's what I'm thinking.

  • But on that's all for the news for this episode.

  • There was a lot of things I wanted to talk to you guys about, but let me know your thoughts for all of that stuff down below.

  • Hopefully, guys were excited about the charity stream.

  • Hope really?

  • You're excited about the Mecca modeling Expo?

  • These air, both really cool things are gonna be going on one of them This weekend and one of them much later in the year.

  • Obviously, uh, and also the notch in contest.

  • Hopefully, you guys were doing well under entries for that.

  • Can't wait to see what you guys were working on.

  • So that's what's happening here.

  • Uh, now feel free to go check out the U.

  • S.

  • A.

  • Gundam TV channel and see the news video for this week, and I'll talk with you guys all again very soon.

it's going on, guys, Today is March 9th and I have some really big updates to talk to you guys about in this video.
