Hi this is Cole with Expert Village and I'm going to be going a little more in depth with
the regulator. With every regulator set up there is the first stage regulator which takes
the compressed air form the tank, drops it down to an intermediate pressure, which flows
through the hoses to the various attachments, the most important obviously being the primary
Second stage regulator which drops the pressure down again to the surrounding water pressure,
making it easier to breathe. The regulator, pretty basic, has a purge button right here,
so you can blast air through to blast water out of the regulator. Mouthpiece, this particular
style is nice and comfortable. There are various sensitivity adjustments and things like that
but you generally don't need to mess with a regulator on a constant basis. The alternate
second stage regulator is in case another diver should happen to run out of air or in
the very unlikely case that the primary malfunctions in a way that it's closed which is actually
designed to malfunction in a way that the air is constantly flowing. The alternate regulator
also has a much longer hose so it can be passed to another diver and it's typically marked
with either bright yellow or bright orange colors so it's easily recognizable as the
alternate in case of emergencies.
