To me the best Sauvignon Blancs are really fragrant. A lot of passionfruit, gooseberry,
some citrus with a great balance. If you're willing to branch out from your
favourite Sauvignon Blanc, there's a couple more I think you'd really enjoy.
Riesling is a real favourite of mine and also a lot of wine makers have a soft spot for it.
Like our Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling is very zesty; amazing fragrance and has a lovely
balance. It's a delicious wine that can age really well – five, ten, fifteen years
sometimes. Sauvignon Blanc is perfect with seafood and
so is our next wine: Albariño. Albariño originates from the Northern part
of Spain. It's quite fruity, very fresh. It's a little bit softer than Sauvignon
Blanc, which makes it an excellent match for things like calamari and fresh mussel fritters.
So, if you're interested to try something a little bit different, this could be right
up your alley. If you enjoy this style of Sauvignon Blanc,
I've got no doubt that these two wines will work for you.
