This video aims to help you navigate this world by arming you with some definitions and examples of ten different sexualities.

この動画では定義から具体例まで挙げて、異なる 10 つの性的指向を説明していきたいと思います。

Some of which you might not even know about.

今まで聞いたことのないものもあるかもしれませんよ。

1, Bisexuality.

1 、両性愛。

The definition for bisexuality is actually something that is debated.

両性愛の定義において、議論があります。

Originally, the standard definition was attraction to both genders.

元々は、男女という 2 つの性別に惹かれる人を指します。

However, as understanding of gender has evolved, people have argued for an evolved definition of bisexuality.

しかし、性自認への認知が深めてきて、両性愛についての異議が唱えられています。

Some use the definition of the attraction to your own and other genders to incorporate non-binary genders within its definition.

同じ性別の人、違う性別の人に惹かれるという定義を X ジェンダー（女性男性どちらでもないと認識している人）の定義として使う人もいます。

Some famous examples of people who are bisexual are Brendon Urie from the band Panic! at the Disco, and actress: Angelina Jolie.

有名な両性愛者として、パニック・アット・ザ・ディスコのメンバーのブレンドン・ユーリーと女優のアンジェリーナ・ジョリーが挙げられます。

2, Homosexuality.

2 、同性愛。

This is one the terms that most people tend to be familiar with.

こちらは一般的に広く知られていると思います。

It means attraction to one's own gender, and sometimes referred as "gay" or "lesbian."

同性愛は同性の人に惹かれるとのことで、よく「ゲイ」や「レズビアン」と言及されることもあります。

Famous examples include comedian, Alan Carr and presenter, Sue Peterson.

有名な同性愛者はコメディアンのアラン・カーや司会者のスー・ピーターソンなどがいます。

3, Heterosexuality.

3 、異性愛。

Heterosexuality is probably the most well-known sexuality.

異性愛は最も知られている性指向でしょう。

And whether right or wrong, it is often thought of as the "default", this is known as heteronormativity.

必ずしも正しいとは言えないが、「デフォルト」と認識されて、異性愛規範として知られています。

It means attraction to genders other than your own.

定義は異性の人に惹かれるとのことです。

It is most commonly used to refer to binary genders.

性別二元論を指すときに最も一般的に用いられます。

4, Pansexuality.

4 、全性愛。

Pansexuality is defined as an attraction to all genders.

全性愛というのはあらゆる性別に惹かれるとのことです。

Some say those who are pansexual don't care about gender when it comes to their attraction, though not all agree with this assessment.

全性愛の人は性別にとらわれずに人に恋をする性指向であるという人もいますが、反対の声もあるようです。

Some people also use this sexuality and bisexuality interchangeably.

全性愛と両性愛を混用する人もいます。

Miley Cyrus is a notable person who is pansexual.

マイリ―・サイラスは著名な全性愛者です。

5, Polysexuality.

5 、多性愛。

Polysexuality refers to people who are attracted to two or more genders.

多性愛は 2 種類以上の性別の人々に惹かれる人を指します。

Typically, bisexuality and pansexuality are types of polysexality; though not all people who are polysexual use these terms.

一般的に両性愛と全性愛は多性愛に属しますが、多性愛の人はこれらの表現を使わないこともあります。

6, Asexuality.

6 、無性愛。

Asexuality is one of the lesser known sexualities.

無性愛はあまり知られていない性指向の一つです

It refers to someone who does not experience sexual attraction to any gender.

他人に対して性的な魅力を感じられないことを指します。

This does not mean; however, that they never have relationships or sex, which are common myths about asexuality.

よく誤解されますが、彼らは人と恋愛関係や性的行為を一切持たないということではありません。

Bojack Horseman, the TV show, explores asexuality through one of the major characters, Todd Chavez.

テレビ番組の『ボージャック・ホースマン』はメインキャラクターのトッド・チャベズを通じて、無性愛者の実態を描きます。

7, Gray-Asexuality.

7 、グレー性愛者。

This is similar to the previous sexuality.

先ほどの無性愛の概念と近いです。

However instead of never experiencing sexual attraction, someone who is graysexual may very rarely experience sexual attraction.

ただ、他人に性的な魅力を全く感じない無性愛に対して、グレー性愛者は性的に惹かれることが少ないということです。

They are still valid under the asexuality umbrella, despite occasionally experiencing sexual attraction.

無性愛の 1 種類ですが、時折性的な魅力を感じます。

8, Demisexuality.

8 、半性愛。

Demisexuality, again, can technically fall under the asexual umbrella.

半性愛も無性愛の 1 種類です。

People who are demisexual do experience sexual attraction while, only after an emotional connection is created.

人と情感的な繋がりがないと性的欲求を感じることができないということです。

They wouldn't find a stranger on the street sexually appealing.

赤の他人に対して性的な欲求が一切生じることはありません。

But, after they get to know someone well, the possibility of sexual attraction is there.

ただ、相手を十分知ることができれば性的欲求が生じる可能性があります。

Demisexuality is considered the half way point between asexuality and allosexuality: those who experience sexual attraction.

半性愛は無性愛と有性愛の中間に位置すると思われます。(有性愛は性的欲求を感じられるということです。)

9, Androsexuality.

9 、男性愛

Androsexuality is a sexuality that outside of LGBT circles is not well-known at all.

男性愛は LGBT 以外の性的指向で、あまり知られていません。

It refers to someone who is attracted to a masculine gender presentation.

男性的な特徴に惹かれる性指向を言います。

This can refer to anyone of any gender: man, woman, or non-binary.

男性、女性、第 3 の性などあらゆる人や性別に適用します。

10, Gynosexuality.

10 、女性愛

Gynosexuality, like Androsexuality, is not well-known.

女性愛は男性愛と同様に、あまり知られていません。

It refers to someone who is attracted to a feminine gender presentation.

こちらは女性的な特徴に惹かれる性指向を指して意味します。

This could, again, refer to any individual of any gender.

これも同じくあらゆる人や性別に適用します。
