Number one is "extra."

If someone says you're extra, they're saying that you're trying too hard or you're being too dramatic.

余計だと言われたら、頑張りすぎだとか、大げさだとか。

For example, if someone cried tears of joy after buying the new Yeezys,

例えば、新しいYeezysを購入して喜びの涙を流した人がいたとします。

you could say, "You're so extra."

"あなたは特別な存在 "と 言えるかもしれない

People keep saying, "Charlene, why are you so extra?"

Salty

If someone is salty, they're angry or bitter about something.

Often, it's partly because they're embarrassed.

and it means kind of or secretly.

という意味で、親切な、こっそりという意味になります。

You could say something like, "I low key love Justin Bieber."

You look cute today. Low key though, dude! Low key, dude!

Snatched

ひったくり

Snatched means on point or fashionable.

スナッチとは、ポイントにある、おしゃれなという意味です。

It can be used to describe anything that you think looks good.

見栄えが良さそうだと思うものは何でも表現できます。

So if you want to compliment someone you could say,

だから、誰かを褒めたいときには、こう言うことができる。

"Your outfit is snatched!"

"あなたの服がひったくられた！"

Is my nose snatched, or nah?

鼻が掠れているのか、それともナ？

Glow up

グローアップ

Glow up is a combination of "grow up" and "glow."

グローアップとは "grow up "と "glow "を組み合わせたもの。

It's used to describe an amazing transformation,

驚くべき変貌を表現するのに使われています。

and it can be used as a noun or a verb.

と、名詞としても動詞としても使えます。

So, if you think someone has gotten a lot more attractive,

だから、誰かが魅力的になったと思ったら

you could say, "You really glowed up."

"あなたは本当に輝いていた "と 言えるかもしれない

Or, "What a glow up!"

あるいは "何て光ってるんだ！"とか

Tea, or the tea, means gossip.

お茶とは、ゴシップを意味します。

So, you could ask someone, "What's the tea?"

As in, "What's the latest gossip?"

"最新のゴシップは？"みたいに

Or, "Did you hear the tea about Khloe Kardashian?"

"クロエ・カーダシアンのお茶を聞いた？"とか

As in, "Did you hear the latest rumor about her?"

"彼女の最新の噂を聞いたか？"みたいに

The tea is exceptionally good today.

今日のお茶は格別です。

Who made this? Very delicious.

誰が作ったの？とても美味しかったです。

Shook

揺れる

Shook means shocked or amazed.

Shookはショックを受けた、驚いたという意味です。

If you're shook, you can't believe what you're seeing or what has just happened.

揺さぶられていると、自分が見ているものや今起きていることが信じられなくなってしまいます。

For example, if you said, "I just got my exam results back, and I am shook,"

例えば、「受験の結果が返ってきたばかりで、震えています」と言ったとします。

it would mean that you were really surprised,

本当に驚いたということでしょう。

either because your score was really high or because it was really low.

あなたの点数が本当に高かったからか、それとも本当に低かったからか。

You see me walkin' by, and you are shook.

Shady

日陰

Shady means sneaky or suspicious.

Shadyは卑劣な、不審なという意味です。

You can use it to describe someone that you think isn't trustworthy.

信用できないと思う人を表現するのに使えます。

For example, if someone talks behind your back,

you could say, "She's shady."

"彼女は怪しい "と言うかもしれない

The teacher's shady, kids are insane.

教師は陰キャ、子供はキチガイ。

Throwing staplers.

Fire

火事

Fire is the new way to say hot or awesome.

火事は新しい言い方でホットとかスゴイとか。

Online, you might also see people use the fire emoji as a way to say, "This is fire!"

ネット上では、"これは火だ！"という意味で火の絵文字を使っている人を見かけることもあるかもしれません。

You can say something is fire, like, "This new song is fire!"

"この新曲は火事だ！"とか "火事だ！"とか。

or someone is fire, like, "Beyonce is fire!"

"ビヨンセは火事だ！"みたいに 誰かが火事だ

Man, it's fire!

火事だ！

How was your trip?

旅はいかがでしたか？

It was fire! Straight up amazing.

Canceled

キャンセル

If you say something is canceled, it means that you don't want to deal with that thing anymore.

何かが中止になったと言うことは、もうそのことには手を出したくないということです。

You're saying it's over.

終わったと言っているのか

For example, if you've been seeing someone and then you decide not to anymore,

例えば、誰かと付き合っていたのに、もうしないと決めたとします。

you could say, "That's canceled," as in that relationship is over.

その関係が終わったという意味で「それは取り消された」と言ってもいいかもしれません。

You know what, well, that's over. It's canceled.

あのね、もう終わったんだよ。中止になった。

We don't need coffee when we have sparkling water.

炭酸水があればコーヒーはいらない。
