season now if you're in the States it's usually from the first week of May

all the way to the first week of June but here in Taiwan June is the

graduation month every school is holding their graduation ceremony in this month

and today we will talk about how to congratulate people on graduation day

don't always use congratulations I've prepared nine sentences in three

different groups so that when it is your friends or your family's graduation day

you can say to them you can also write them in notes or in little cards here

we go group number one simple Congrats of course a lot of times you would see

people you're not really familiar with but you still want to say that's a good

job you graduated you're going to use something that is more normal more

common and you still express how happy you are for that person and let's just

take a look at the example sentences in this group number one you did it well

done you did it well done finishing your educational degree is sometimes

not very easy especially when you're getting your master's degree or your PhD

it takes a lot of work and when you say this you are acknowledging your friend

or your family's hard work and you are congratulating them and

an impressive achievement what an impressive achievement again this

belongs to simple congrats if you say this or if you write us down in the notes

also you are recognizing how much hard work the person has devoted of course

here their achievement would be getting the degree or to get the Diploma and

number three I'm proud of your well deserved success

I'm proud of your well deserved success if you're saying this that means you

know exactly how much that person has put their efforts into their study

you're telling your friend or your family how much you care about him or

her and let's move on to group number two look into the future sometimes you

want to add in some elements so that you're telling people there's a lot

waiting for you in the future let's just take a look at example sentences

number one you're going to be a star you're going to be a star a star here

does not mean that you're going to be a star on TV it means a star in whichever

field you're going to this is telling your friend that he or she is going to

be very successful or very famous in the future and number two life has more

wonderful things waiting for you life has more wonderful things waiting for

you graduation would be regarded as something wonderful that happens to a

person you are telling your friend that there are more in your life so if you

say this that means you will achieve more in your life and number three can't

wait to see where life will take you next can't wait to see where life will

take you next graduation represents the end of a certain period of time and also

the beginning of a new possibility in the future there will be more

opportunities waiting for you this is also promising your friend that there

will be more things happening to you of course

nice great things and I'm curious what you're going to accomplish in the future

and let's move on to group number three give advice if you are a parent a

teacher or an older brother or an older sister you can give advice to people who

are graduating this is considered one of the best gifts you can

give the graduates let's take a look at the three examples number one may you

always dare to do great things with your life may you always dare to do great

things with your life when you say this you are telling the graduate that

courage is very important well the reason to move on courage courage to

move on do something new if you don't have it then there's no adventure

there's no success so to dare to do something means to have

the courage to do things and number two there's no limit if you keep believing

in yourself there's no limit if you keep believing in yourself believing in

oneself is the key element of success if you have faith in yourself you're going

to have more confidence and in a lot of ways it's going to help you accomplish

things more easily you're telling that person anything could happen

if you have faith in yourself and number three keep making yourself unique and be

true to who you are keep making yourself unique and be true to who you are unique

here means one and only every one is a unique individual you are not the same

as any other people in the world to be true to here means you'll follow your

heart a lot of times if you have a dream the only way to make the dream come true

is to always know that you could do it follow your heart

and to keep going this does not mean that you should not follow others

instructions it only means you have your way make yourself unique follow your

heart and you will be successful in the future these are the sentences that I

introduced today that you can tell the graduates or you can write in your cards

to your friends it's graduation season now I do have a lot of students that are

graduating here I want to say to you you have a

of opportunities waiting for you out there at this moment is the time that

you start and go there and grab your own future
