It really adds that perfect amount of edge to any look,

is the new it head accessory for fall and winter.

ってちょっと言ってみただけなんですけど

I'm calling it out.

たくさんのデザイナー達のそれぞれ独特な味を出した帽子をみてきて、

I'm seeing a lot of designers put their own spin to it,

例えば私が知っている中ではDiorの美しいレザーのベレー帽とかあるけれど、

like I know Dior has a beautiful leather beret,

私は本当にこのReformationの帽子がお気に入りです。

but I'm just really happy with my Reformation one.

今月のコスメは、ディオールのこの色のリップスティックがお気に入りです

For my beauty favorite, I have this lip color by Dior.

Rolling というカラーで

It is called Rolling.

このカラーににぴったりの名前だと思います

And honestly, this name is so fitting for this product

名前のとおり、リップによく馴染むカラーで

because it literally just rolls onto the lips.

とてもなめらかで、しっとりしてます

It's such a smooth, moisturizing formula

ヌーディなサーモンカラーが素敵です

and it's in this gorgeous nude, salmon shade.

では次は、今月お気に入りの本の紹介にいきましょう

Alright, so let's jump into some book favorites.

まずは“デスノート”です

Here I have Death Note.

これは、兄のジェームスからのプレゼントで

This is a gift that my big brother James got me,

実は、デスノートは

and I am so happy he did this,

私が初めて読んだマンガがなので

because this is like the first manga

プレゼントしてくれてとても嬉しかったです

I've ever read in my life.

私が小さかった時、ジェームスはたくさんマンガを持っていたので

Growing up, James had this huge collection of just mangas

マンガについてとても詳しかったんです

and it was just kind of his thing.

韓国語バージョンのものもたくさんあったし、読んでみようとはしたんだけど

I tried to read them, but a lot of them were in Korean too.

とくにジェームスはドラゴンボールZが好きで

He had like this crazy Dragon Ball Z collection,

韓国語は読めるんだけど、その中に

and I could read Korean, but there are a lot of words

音的には正しくは読めるけど

that I can sound out phonetically,

どういう意味か分からない擬音語もあったんです

but I don't know what they mean.

っていうのは置いといて、これは英語バージョンで

So, anyway, this is obviously in English

兄が選んでくれたこの本は

and I'm so happy that he's kind of like introducing me

またマンガの世界に足を踏み入れるのに

into the manga world because this was like

ぴったりな一冊で、とても嬉しかったです

the perfect book to start out with.

このマンガは、ライトという高校生が主人公で

So this book is about a high schooler named Light

ライトは、謎の

and he stumbles across this like really mysterious

不思議なノートに出会い、そしてこのノートは

and magical notebook where you can kill people

誰かの名前を書いて、その人の顔を思い浮かべると

by writing their first, last name

その人を殺してしまうことができるんです

and visualizing their face.

ライトは、リュークという死神について回られるんだけど

And he is shadowed by a death god named Ryuk

リュークが可愛くって

and Ryuk is just so cute.

初めのほうは

At first I was kinda like,

凄く変やつだなと思っていたんだけど

oh, he's kinda creepy,

独特の癖とか

but just like, seeing his mannerisms

人間に惹かれる様子が

and his fascination with humans,

とても可愛いなと思うようになりました

it just makes him really endearing.

ライトの使命は、犯罪者だらけのこの世界を

So Light's mission is just to purify the world

浄化することで、このデスノートを使って

of criminals, so he starts just like killing off criminals

犯罪者たちを殺していくんです

in the death note.

けど、警察は事件として調査し始めて

But unfortunately, the cops see this as like,

というのも、悪者を殺そうが善人を殺そうが

an issue because murder is murder whether

殺人は殺人だし

you're murdering a bad guy, you're murdering a good guy.

誰かを殺しているわけだから

You're still killing someone,

警察がこの事件の犯人捜しを始めるんだけど

so they're tryna find this mysterious killer,

それが面白いんですよね

and it's just really interesting.

こういうストーリーを今までに読んだことがなかったんです

I've never read a plot line like this.

いま読んでいるボリューム1の２冊目を早く読み切りたいし

Can't wait to finish the second book in volume one,

たぶん、そのあとに

and then after I guess I'm just gonna have

全シリーズを少しずつ買っていくと思います

to start buying the rest of the collection.

マンガを読んだことのない人には、すごくおすすめで

I highly recommend it if you have never read a manga,

はまっちゃうくらい面白いお話です

definitely a really cool storyline to get sucked into.

次のお気に入りは、シェリル・ストレイドの”わたしに会うまでの1600キロ"です

My next book favorite is called Wild by Cheryl Strayed.

この本は、お母さんがおすすめしてくれたんですが

This was recommended to me by my mom,

今までお母さんに本をおすすめされたことがなかったので

and she never recommends me to read anything

もちろん、お母さんがこの本をおすすめしてくれた時は

so of course, when she told me to read it,

すぐに、「読んでみるね！」って感じで、キンドルにダウンロードしたんですが

I was like okay, so I downloaded it on my Kindle,

読んでよかったなと思います

and I am so happy that I read it.

いい影響を与えてくれるお話ですね

It is such an inspiring story.

シェリルの回顧録なんですが

It is a memoir of Cheryl,

たくさんの不運な出来事が彼女の身に起こるのですが

and just a lot of unfortunate things happen to her,

それがきっかけで自暴自棄な生活を送ってしまうんです

which caused her to lead kind of a reckless life.

でも、26歳になったときに

But when she turns 26,

自分の人生を取り戻そうと

she decides to just get a hold of her life

パシフィック・クレスト・トレイルを踏破することを

and she decides to go on this crazy hike,

決断するんです

the Pacific Crest Trail.

もちろん、これは

And, this is not like, you know,

５キロのハイキングとかいう簡単なものではないんです

just a three mile hiking trail.

すごく厳しい道のりを

This is a really intense hike,

1600ｋｍ以上歩き通すのですが

1,000+ miles on crazy terrain,

シェリルがたった一人で成し遂げたということが凄いですよね

and the crazy thing of all is she does it by herself.

シェリルはこの旅を通して自分自身のことがわかって

She learns a lot about herself

この自叙伝を読むと、私も

and it kind of inspired me to want

バックパッカーになってみたいなという気持ちになります

to go backpacking as well.

やってみたことはないけど

I've never done anything like that before

自然は大好きだし

and I love nature

シェリルの旅の様子や、心の傷が癒えていく様子は

and it was really inspiring for me to read her story

とても素晴らしかったです

and see how this whole journey just kind of healed her.

シェリルが次に何をするのか知りたくなるし、

You want to know what she's doing next

こうやって女性が、自分一人で何かを成し遂げる姿は

and it's just really cool to see like a woman,

とてもかっこいいと思います

a strong woman do this on her own, and yeah.

本当におすすめの一冊です

I highly recommend it.

次は、今月お気に入りの映画です

Next up, I have my film favorite.

ベンとジェームスと映画館に行って

So, Ben, James, and I went to the theaters

観たのがこの”It"

and we saw the movie It.

普段はホラー映画は観ません

Normally, I don't watch horror films.

ホラー映画をあまり観ないようにしているのは

I steer clear from them because

想像力が豊かなので

I just have like a very active imagination,

一度でも怖いシーンを見てしまうと、それが生涯つきまとうんです

so like once I see a scary image, it's with me for life.

ふとした時にそのシーンが頭に浮かんで、

And I end up like, they end up popping in my head

それも最悪なタイミングで

at like the worst times,

例えば目を閉じて顔を洗っているときとか

like when I'm washing my face and closing my eyes.

もう、最悪です

It's just bad.

今でも覚えているのが、子どもの頃

I remember when I was a kid,

”It” が初めて公開されたとき

when it first came out,

文字どおり、この映画が

like I literally thought that It

この世で一番怖いと思いました

was the most terrifying thing in the world.

でも今回リメイクされたので、もう一回観たいなと思って…

But something about the remake made me wanna re-watch it.

たぶん懐かしかったんだと思います

I think maybe it's like the nostalgia factor,

それに、リメイク版はそんなに怖くないとも聞いていたし

also I heard I heard it wasn't that scary.

それで、

And so,

映画館に行ったのですが、３人ともこの映画が好きになりました

I went into the theater and we all ended up loving it.

たぶん、本来は面白いものを

I think it's because they put in pieces

少しずつピースに分けて

of like really hilarious moments

ホラーの要素に取り入れていたからだと思います

just to break apart the horror.

だって、最初から最後までただ怖いだけの映画は

'Cause if it's just like a scary movie all around,

私は耐えられない

like it's just too much for me.

ちょっとした幸せとかを感じられる要素が

Like you gotta give me like some sort of nugget of happiness

ホラー映画にないと

in a film.

もし奇怪現象とかが大丈夫なら

And if you can handle like, Stranger Things,

絶対、この映画は観れますよ

you can definitely, definitely watch It.

ピエロが苦手じゃない限り、大丈夫です

Unless you have like a giant fear of clowns.

この映画は、ある町に住む

So the film is about a story of seven children living

７人の子ども達のお話で、２７年ごとに

in this town and every 27 years,

現れるペニーワイズというピエロが

this clown named Pennywise comes out

この町に住む子ども達を次々に殺していくんです

and tries to kill as many kids as he can.

そして凄いのが、このピエロはそのままでも怖いのに

And the crazy thing is, even though he's like really scary,

相手が一番恐れているものに変化するという

he also has the ability to transform

力を持っているんです

into your deepest, darkest fear.

そう、それでこの映画はまだ劇場公開中なので

So yeah, it's still out in theaters right now.

もし大ヒット作が観たいという人には

I highly recommend you go watch it

とてもおすすめの映画です

if you just want like a really fun Blockbuster hit.

今月最後のお気に入りは、ポッドキャストです

My last favorite is a podcast.

”オプティマム　リビング　デイリー”と言って

It is called Optimal Living Daily.

友達のエイミーから教えてもらいました

And this was recommended by my friend Amy,

is just really useful things
