In this video you’re going to improve your English listening ability and learn an English
idiom. In this video you’ll learn the meaning of
the idiom and you’ll see an example sentence using the English idiom.
Thanks and hope this helps you improve your knowledge of English idioms and English listening
skills. Hey there.
This week’s idiom that I have for you is a really, really fun one.
It’s “roll the dice.” Now, roll the dice means to take a chance.
So, if we do something, for example, like this, we can say, “Don’t roll the dice
on this. It’s better to be safe than sorry.” There’s another idiom for you, “safe than
sorry.” But in this one here, roll the dice.
So, don’t take a chance, okay. Don’t roll the dice on this one. We better
play it safe. So, there you have it.
A quick explanation and example of role the dice.
