Now that we’ve finished with turning, turning left turning right,
we’re going to have to show you how to change from one to the other.
You only change; you only turn one direction
it will be a little bit boring, a little bit dizzy.
So here is the change step. Now to show you the change step
I’m going to do it separately. Wendy can you please stand over there
and the gentlemen are here. If we do a left turn, let’s come forward
a little bit more so you have more room. Left turn and,
one-two-three, four-five-six.
Here is the forward change for the man going from left turn to right turn
and the back change for lady and one-two-three.
I went forward three steps and she went back three steps
and closing the feet on the third step. From here we turn right;
one-two-three, four-five-six.
Now we can show you a change step to take us from right turn to left turn
so this is a forward change for man and a back change for lady.
Again and; one-two-three and switch to the left turn
and one-two-three, four-five-six.
Demonstrate to you dancing together.
One complete reverse turn six steps; one-two-three,
four-five-six. A forward change step for man,
back change step for lady, one-two-three.
Into the natural turn; one-two-three,
four-five-six. And to demonstrate the other change
from right turn to left turn here it is again; one-two-three,
and left turn.
We’ll show this to you at more regular speed without stopping;
one-two-three, four-five-six,
one-two-three, one-two-three,
four-five-six, one-two-three,
one-two-three, four-five-six,
one-two-three. Now normally people will not just
do one turn change one turn change one turn – that’s too many changes.
They would do two or three complete turns in one direction before they
change to the other side. So why don’t we demonstrate right now
how we use the change step to go around the room – yea?
And we’ll do that with music.
Now we have to tell you again that is the ideal situation
where you learn the step and have experience
and you have the technique and finesse to do it.
We are not at the ideal situation at this stage at the bronze 1 level
so we show you a way to change without doing the change steps.
We’ll go back to the side sway; one-two-three,
two-two-three, both sides.
If you do the reverse turn; one-two-three,
two-two-three, dance an odd number of side sways,
here we dance three. By dancing an odd number
we can now go forward gentlemen and back ladies with
the man’s right and lady’s left to do the right turn.
We’ll do three side sways, and we can switch back to the other foot.
