Today's phrase is: dawg, man, dude, G, homie and also another way of saying it, hoMIE.

今日の言葉は…「dawg」「man」「dude」 「G」「homie」そして別の言い方、「hoMIE」です。

Now, this word just means friend, just partner, compadre, someone you know.

さて、この言葉はただ友達やパートナー、 仲間、あなたが知っている人という意味です。

So, let's go to the conversational examples.

では、会話の例に行っていましょう。

Two guys waiting to leave a place.

２人の男がその場を離れるのを待っています。

Dude! When are we gonna make that move?

「Dude!いつになったら動き始めんだよ？」

“G” Don’t worry, It’s going down real soon.

「G、心配すんな。もうすぐだからよ。」

Dawg-Dawg-Dawg!!! Just leave it along.

「Dawg-Dawg-Dawg!!!ほっとけよ。」

That's what I’m saying, I can’t!!! I’m hooked!!!

「俺もそう言ってるよ。出来ねぇんだよ！ 引っかかっちまった！」

We'll just go through this real quick-like.

First conversation, two guys, as mentioned before, were leaving a place.

最初の会話では２人の男が、前述の様に、 ある場所を去ろうとしていました。

They was hanging out somewhere and then one guy is a little impatient.

彼らはどこかで遊んでいて、 片方の男は少しせっかちでした。

He's like, "I'm ready to go, man. What are we just sitting around for?"

彼は「もう行く準備できたぜ、man。 何のためにただ座ってんだよ？」という感じです。

That's why he says, "Yo, when are we gonna move?" meaning, "When are we gonna go?"

「Yo、いつになったら動くんだ？」、つまり 「いつになったら行くのか？」と言ったのはその為です。

The other guy says, "Hey, don't worry. We'll be leaving real soon."

もう１人の男は「Hey、心配するな。 もうすぐに行くからさ。」と言います。

Simple.

単純ですね。

Next example, friend says, "Dawg-Dawg-Dawg!!! Just leave it along."

次の例では、友が「Dawg-Dawg-Dawg!!! ほっとけよ。」と言います。

It means don't even worry about it. Let is go.

もう心配なんてするな、 ほうっておけ、という意味です。

Just forgot about whatever is going on right now. Just let it go. Leave it alone.

今起こっていることがなんにせよ、忘れてしまえ。 ほうっておけ。そのままにしておけ。

And his friend says, "That's the problem. I can't leave it alone."

そして彼の友達は言います。「それが問題なんだ。 ほうっておけないんだよ。」と。

For some reason he just can't stop doing what he doing.

理由はなんであれ彼はただ今やっている事をやめられないのです。

Simple and plain.

Now see, the thing is, you gotta understand, many people misunderstand how to use this word dawg.

さて、そうですね、大事なのは、理解しなくてはならないということです。 多くの人は「dawg」という言葉の使い方を勘違いしています。

Dawg is basically when you say, "Hey, what's up DAWG."

「Dawg」は基本的に「Hey、what's up DAWG（元気か？）」と言う時です。

Dawg means someone you know very well.

「Dawg」とはあなたがとても 良く知っている誰かという意味です。

The same way as G, but G means gangsta, not meaning really a gangster, but he means he's hardcore.

「G」と同じですが、「G」は「gangsta」という意味です。本当にギャング（gangster）という意味ではなく、彼はハードコアであるという意味です。

Man more like just your friend, your boy.

「Man」はもっとただの友達、友人のような感じです。

Homie, that means someone that you've known for a long time.

「Homie」は長い間知っている人という意味です。

Now, most guys use these phrases.

Homegirl, shorty girl, baby girl, these are also some words that be used by brothers, but sisters also use it as well.
