This really might be the strangest looking hotel in Japan and inside it just gets crazier.

This is the bed, but all the pillows are donuts. There is a couch, but it's not that comfortable.

これはベッドだが、枕はすべてドーナツで、ソファもあるが、それほど快適ではない。

But the weirdest part of the room is in the bathroom. It has a faucet that lets you make a chocolate bath.

チョコレート風呂が作れる蛇口が付いているのだ。

That's nasty.

This place gives me the creeps.

But first, my next hotel has robot dinosaur employees like these Raptors that help you check into your room.

Also easily the best breakfast item.

Before tonight's hotel, I might have found the weirdest restaurant on earth.

Inside are tons of baby robots, and when you sit down, they give you one.

This guy's name is Matcha.

こいつの名前は抹茶だ。まず、赤ん坊のように抱いて扱えということなんだが、ロボット・ベイビー・ステップが赤ん坊の頭と腹を優しく撫でるとは思ってもみなかった。

This is weird.

First, you're supposed to hold it and treat it like a baby.

Gotta say, I never expected to have a robot baby.

Step two, gently stroke its head and belly.

I don't know why.

でも、本物の赤ちゃんと同じで、いつも転んでいるんだ。 正直言って、このロボットはかなりスウィートだよ。

Step three, it has voice commands so you can talk to it.

But just like a real baby, it will fall all the time.

Honestly, these robots are pretty sweet.

The only problem is they cost $3,000 to buy.

Tonight I'm staying in the world's first gaming capsule hotel.

Honestly, it's super easy to lose track of time here and spend like your entire day gaming

And then, when you're tired, you can head to your sleeping pod.

There are many different capsule types you can get and I even got a private window and a table. I'm a fan.

The next morning, I found a Robo Mart. It's literally a store that sells all kinds of robots like a little robot bug you can buy for $10.

10ドルで買える小さなロボットの虫とかね。でもこの店で一番いいのは、コーヒーを淹れてくれるロボット・バリスタなんだ。タッチスクリーンのボタンを押してしばらく待ち、コーヒーが出来上がったら持ってくる。

But the best thing in this shop is a robot barista that can make you your coffee. Although all it really does is pick up your cup, press a button on the touchscreen, wait a moment and then bring it to you when your coffee is ready.

I could have done that.

コーヒーの後、ホテルにチェックインするんだけど、ホテルって感じじゃないんだ。ベッドの代わりにテントがあって、毛布の代わりに寝袋があって、何か怖い話でもしようって気分になる。

After coffee, we're checking into a hotel that really doesn't feel like a hotel at all.

First things first, yeah, obviously instead of a bed you have a tent.

There's a sleeping bag instead of a blanket.

Feels like I got to tell some scary stories or something.

The living room. Plenty of room for you and all your friends or in my case, just me.

There's a hammock you can relax in.

Honestly, I would be comfortable just sleeping on this.

You might ask, "Where's the TV?"

This is the life.

Every hotel room should have something like this.

If it's not clear, the idea of this place is pretty simple. Basically, you're in Tokyo, the biggest city in the world, so a place like this makes you feel like you're out in nature camping and really does make you feel comfortable and relaxed.

But the next day I stayed in a super colorful hotel covered in art.

It's tour time. Bed one, bed two.

There's a massive version of Connect Four on the wall you can actually play.

The center of the room, you literally have a face.

You control them with the nostrils in the nose and the other nostril, tissue box.

I really think this might be the most beautiful hotel room I've been in.

Before tonight's hotel, let's check out some of the most unique inventions in Tokyo, starting with this vending machine.

You can put $10 into this mystery vending machine and apparently win a PlayStation. You can also win a Nintendo Switch or tons of other expensive gadgets.

I put in my $10 press the button and actually one spoons and forks. A cutlery set.

All of the walls are glass so everyone can see inside....

This looks so wrong.

...until you lock the front door. Then instantly, you'll have privacy but when you leave, it becomes transparent again.

Imagine it stopped working while you're sitting on the toilet, wouldn't be greater.

I even learned Tokyo has a robot museum by this massive Gundam robot.

Inside, they have realistic androids that can move and the creepiest robot I've ever seen.

It uses AI and these webcams to copy any movement you make in front of it.

It's time to check into our hotel tonight. It's in a library.

A capsule hotel surrounded by comics and manga.

Inside, they have basically every book you might want to read, so just look around, find a book you like and head to your capsule to relax.

Time for a room tour. Pillow, blanket, hangers for your clothes.

And you get just enough space to read.

A lot of you guys have told me in the comments that you're just too claustrophobic for a capsule hotel, and yeah, I really get that.

Especially with ones like this where you get almost no space.

But luckily, this next capsule is super luxurious.

This capsule is nice.

It's not huge of course, you just get a bed.

もちろん広くはない。ただベッドがあるだけだ。でもこの部屋には、カプセルホテルで見たことのないクールな機能がついていて、プロジェクターで好きなビデオや映画を見ることができるし、リモコンを使ってベッドを操作して、眠る準備ができたらベッドをトランスフォームさせることもできる。さすがプリズン、これはいいね。

But this room has one of the coolest features I've ever seen in a capsule hotel, like an entire projector, you can watch any video or movie you want and using a remote you can even control the bed to have it transform when you're ready to sleep.

Next, we're going to a hotel where every room is different.

You can stay in a playground room, a graffiti room or this: a hotel room that's Prison. This is nice.

You've got your Japanese style table, huge living room, a big flat-screen TV, a really simple kitchen. They're really going with this prison theme.

和風のテーブル、大きなリビングルーム、薄型テレビ、シンプルなキッチン。

And of course, the most interesting part, your bed is in a golden luxury jail cell, and the room is definitely well-designed.

そしてもちろん、最も興味深いのは、ベッドが金色の豪華な監獄の中にあることだ。

Gotta say, this is a really comfortable jail cell.

Somehow we still have two weird hotels to get to and after that, my editor Cory booked a special mystery hotel for us to check out.

It's managed by these robot waiters that are controlled by real people. It allows workers with disabilities or health issues to have a job that they can work comfortably from anywhere in the world.

Moving on, at this point, I've stayed in so many different capsule hotels, but I've never seen one with a lobby nearly this cool.

This hotel has a movie theater in the common area.

So these are all the capsules.

First, check into your room. The capsules here are pretty boring. It's literally a bed in a wooded box.

But you can spend your free time in front of the massive movie screen in the lobby and you can even rent the theater to play whatever movie you want, but I had to get some rest because tomorrow we're going to a park surrounded by nature.

It's actually in the most interesting park in Japan.

So this is where my hotel is tonight. It's called Nara Park and over a thousand wild deer live here and they've gotten just used to being around humans.

奈良公園には1000頭以上の野生の鹿が住んでいて、まるでディズニー映画『バンビ』に出てくるような、人間の近くにいることに慣れてしまっている。

I feel like I'm in a Disney movie right now. Bambi?

They've even been trained to bow to ask for food, so if you go up to them with snacks, they will bow and then expect something from you.

But there's only one problem. A few years ago over a hundred people got injured by the deer here in Nara.

Gotta be a little careful.

鹿は噛んだり蹴ったりしてくるし、頭突きしてくることもある。

There are signs everywhere warning you about the deer. They bite, kick, knock you down and could headbutt you, but for the most part, they're completely nice and chill.

They'll even hide from the rain with the tourists and this is where I'm staying.

観光客に混じって雨宿りもするし、私が泊まっているのは鹿公園と呼ばれる場所で、文字通り玄関の外に鹿がいる。

It's called The Deer Park Inn and there are literally deer right outside the front door.

I had to take the train for an hour, but finally made it to our surprise hotel.

What the heck.

There's a giant alligator couch, Minion beds, a ceiling Minion, a TV that plays Minions movies all day, Minions mirror, all the family portraits.

This is definitely the weirdest hotel yet.
