A suffix is something that comes at the end of a word.

接尾辞とは、単語の最後に付け加えられるものだ。

And when we use wise, it means in relation to something.

「wise」を使うと、何かに関連していることを表す。

So if I was to say this, temperature wise, it's a really nice day today.

例えば、「temperature wise（気温的には）、今日は本当に良い天気だ」と言える。

If I look in my wallet though, money wise, my wallet's a little bit empty.

でも財布を見ると、「money wise（金銭的には）、財布は少し空っぽだ」。

Or if my boss said, is that project on time?

もし上司が「そのプロジェクトは予定通りか？」と聞いたら、

I might say, ooh, time wise, that project isn't going very well.

「うーん、time wise（時間的には）、そのプロジェクトはあまり上手くいっていない」と答えるかもしれない。

So it's a little word or suffix we put at the end of a word that means that you are talking about that thing or in relation to it, in relation to.

つまり、これは単語の最後に付ける小さな単語や接尾辞で、その物事について、あるいはそれに関連して話していることを意味する。

So once again, temperature wise, it's really nice out here today.

I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt.

Time wise, I have a lot of time today.

The other phrase I wanted to teach you today or term is wise guy.

今日教えたいもう一つのフレーズや用語は「wise guy」だ。

A wise guy is someone who makes a lot of jokes and a lot of sarcastic comments.

「wise guy」とは、たくさんの冗談や皮肉めいたコメントを言う人のことだ。

You can say, ah, Uncle Joe is such a wise guy.

「ああ、ジョー叔父さんは本当に生意気な人だ」と言える。

He's always cracking jokes and making sarcastic or funny comments.

彼はいつも冗談を言って、皮肉っぽいあるいは面白いコメントをする。

So to review, when you put wise on the end of a word, it means you are talking about something in relation to that word.

復習すると、単語の最後に「wise」を付けると、その単語に関連して何かについて話していることを意味する。

Again, time wise, I'm having a nice day.

もう一度言うと、「時間的に、良い一日を過ごしている」。

I went to work on time, got all my work done.

So time wise, the day is going well.

And a wise guy is someone who tells a lot of jokes.

Also a wise guy can be a criminal in a criminal organization.

Sometimes we call them wise guys.

Okay, so these are parts from a cultivation machine, cultivation machine called a rotary hoe.

So this is actually something that normally you would see a whole bunch of these on a machine in a row, and they would spin and they would weed the soil.

That's kind of the idea.

It's called a rotary cultivator or a rotary hoe, but we thought they kind of look like flowers, and because we live on a flower farm, we thought we would put some in front of the barn as decoration.
