My experience flying with Singapore airlines.

But this year the best deal was with Singapore Airlines.

でも、今年はシンガポール航空が一番お得でしたね。

I have flown with single part airlines before.

以前、1部の航空会社でフライトしたことがあります。

Not on an international trip I believe.

海外旅行ではダメだと思います。

I think it's been about 10 years now.

もう10年くらいになるかな。

When I was living in Singapore I flew to I believe that is an international trip.

シンガポールに住んでいた頃、飛行機で海外旅行に行ったことがあります。

I flew to Australia and it was a great experience.

オーストラリアに飛んだのは、とてもいい経験でした。

I love the food.

料理が好きなんです。

The service was amazing.

サービスも素晴らしかったです。

This time I am flying from Los Angeles Airport to Japan.

今回はロサンゼルス空港から日本へ飛びます。

So when I was looking up tickets, Singapore Airlines had the best deal when I searched on google um a and a and jail their tickets for economy class.

そこで、チケットを調べていたところ、google um a and a とjailで検索するとシンガポール航空がエコノミークラスのチケットで一番お得だったのです。

But with Singapore Airlines they were offering premium economy seats for the same price check in process at the airport was really easy with Singapore airlines since I had a premium economy seat, I had my own separate line and at both airports there was no one in front of me.

しかし、シンガポール航空では、プレミアムエコノミー席を同じ値段で提供していました。

So check in took you know like about 10 minutes.

だから、チェックインには10分くらいかかりましたね。

The only thing though that I kind of caught me off guard was that the weight limit for the carry on allowance was super low.

ただ一つ、機内持ち込みの重量制限が超低いのが気になりました。

I've never had an issue with my values being overweight on an international flight.

国際線で自分の価値観がオーバーウエイトであることを問題にしたことはない。

And with Singapore airlines in particular I found this out later I only allow seven kg which is about £15.

特にシンガポール航空では、後でわかったのですが、7kgまでしか許可されないので、約15ポンドになります。

And that's pretty low for international flight.

しかも、国際線としてはかなり低い水準です。

All the other airlines I've taken in the past.

過去に利用したことのある他の航空会社全て。

The baggage allowance is way more than that.

手荷物許容量はそれ以上だ。

So I just assumed Singapore Airlines was the same.

だから、シンガポール航空も同じだとばかり思っていた。

So I had to basically rearrange my things and it was not fun.

だから、基本的に自分のものを整理しなければならず、楽しくなかった。

You know for a lot of people this may not be an issue, but because I carry a lot of heavy things with me, like my laptop, my camera equipment.

多くの人にとってこれは問題ではないかもしれませんが、私はノートパソコンやカメラ機材など、重いものをたくさん持ち歩いているので。

Those are the things that are generally have items that are heavy and that can easily weigh up to £10.

それらは一般的に重いもので、簡単に10ポンドになるようなアイテムを持っているものです。

Um And then you have to factor in my luggage itself weighed about £5.

それから、荷物の重さが5ポンドほどあったことも考慮しなければなりません。

So yeah it was not a pleasant experience.

そうそう、楽しい経験ではなかった。

But you know that's not Singapore Airlines fault that's more my fault for not paying more close attention to the baggage allowance.

でも、それはシンガポール航空のせいではなく、手荷物許容量にもっと注意を払わなかった私のせいなのです。

Now, once I checked in, everything else was a pretty smooth process.

さて、チェックインしてしまえば、あとは至ってスムーズ。

Once boarding started bringing economy boards after first class and business really didn't have to wait once they started calling, I went up and then I was able to get on my Um my flight right away.

搭乗が始まると、ファーストクラスの後にエコノミーのボードを運んできて、ビジネスは本当に待つ必要がなく、私は上に行き、そしてすぐに私のウム私のフライトに乗ることができました。

So I think I waited less than five minutes once I boarded the flight I got to the cabin area and the premium seating a cabin area I believe there's 28 seats and we don't have our own bathroom section.

搭乗後、5分も待たずに機内へ。プレミアムシートは28席で、専用のトイレはありません。

So we do have to use the economy bathroom, we're not allowed to use.

だから、エコノミートイレは使わせてもらっていますよ。

I'm assuming we're not allowed to use business class bathroom because once the flight took off they shut the drapes too.

離陸したらカーテンも閉められたから、ビジネスクラスのトイレは使えないんだろうな。

I really liked my seat.

私はこの席がとても気に入りました。

It was roomy.

ゆとりがありました。

I had plenty of room to myself and the armrest was really nice and wide.

自分のスペースが十分にあり、肘掛も広くて本当によかったです。

There were two US reports there, there was a reading light that was just the lamp was adjustable, so that was really nice.

そこにはアメリカのレポートが2つあり、読書灯があり、ランプが調整できるようになっていて、とてもよかったです。

Also below me, I noticed that there was a water bottle already ready for me.

また、私の下には、すでに水筒が用意されていることに気がつきました。

The seat itself was very comfortable.

シート自体はとても快適でした。

There was an ad calf rest and a foot rest.

広告のカーフレストとフットレストがありました。

So when I did go to sleep and when I reclined my chair, I slept really well.

だから、寝るときも、椅子をリクライニングさせたときも、本当によく眠れたんです。

Usually like I wake up quite a bit in between but I actually had a good three or four hours of sleep without any interruption.

いつもは途中で目が覚めてしまうのですが、今回は3～4時間ぐっすり眠れました。

So that was really nice.

だから、本当に嬉しかった。

There was entertainment and there was plenty to choose from.

エンターテイメントがあり、たくさんの中から選ぶことができました。

There's a lot of new releases, like Top Gun, which I ended up watching.

新作が多く、結局見たのは「トップガン」とか。

And the monitor itself was really nice.

そして、モニター自体もとてもいいものでした。

It was touch screen or there was a remote next to you that you can use, but I always end up using the touch screen.

タッチパネルだったり、横にリモコンがあってそれを使ったりするのですが、いつもタッチパネルを使ってしまいます。

For some reason there were some other little things I've noticed like on the armrest at the end, there was a place where you can put your drink.

他にも、なぜか端っこの肘掛けに、飲み物を置く場所があったりと、ちょっとした気付きがありましたね。

So that was nice.

だからよかったんです。

So I didn't have to open up my table in order to get to like I placed my drink somewhere and there was like a little hook in front on the back of the chair of a person or in front of me and you can hang your coat there.

だから、テーブルを開けなくても、飲み物をどこかに置いたり、前の人の椅子の背もたれに小さなフックのようなものがあって、そこにコートをかけたりすることができるんです。

I tried to do that but it didn't, I feel like it got in the way.

そうしようとしたのですが、そうではなく、邪魔をされたような気がします。

So I, because my coat was kind of heavy so I ended up really not using that.

それで、コートが重かったので、結局使わなかったんです。

And then there was a little like a little cubbyhole where they have like the instructions, evacuation instructions and stuff like that in front of me.

そして、私の目の前には、指示書や避難指示書などが置いてある、ちょっとした小部屋のようなものがありました。

But overall the seat was really nice and roomy and comfortable and I'm glad that I ended up getting the premium economy seat because definitely an economy seat with the premium economy seats, there are some amenities that you receive.

でも、全体的にはとてもいい席で、広くて快適でした。プレミアムエコノミーシートにしたのはよかったと思います。

One of them is the noise cancelation headphones.

そのひとつが、ノイズキャンセリングヘッドホンです。

Those are really nice because I don't know if you've ever used the economy headphones, I hate them.

エコノミーのヘッドホンを使ったことがないのか、私はそれが嫌いなので、それらは本当に素晴らしいです。

They're useless because you can barely hear anything.

ほとんど何も聞こえないので役に立たない。

You have to put up the volume so high.

ボリュームを大きくしないといけないんですね。

So if I am an economy, I always end up using my own headphones instead of the ones that the airline provides.

だから、エコノミーだといつも航空会社が用意したものではなく、自分のヘッドホンを使うことになるんです。

I will say the ones I received though, we're pretty beat up and when I opened it came in a sealed package and then it gives you like these covers to put over the headphones.

しかし、私が受け取ったものはかなりボロボロで、開封すると密封されたパッケージに入っていて、ヘッドホンの上に置くためのカバーのようなものが渡されました。

Part of the headphone for like the year part fell off.

年分のようなヘッドホンの一部が落ちた。

So it took me about five minutes to adjust it and put it back on.

だから、調整して元に戻すのに5分くらいかかりました。

I almost gave up and if I wasn't able to put it back on, I was gonna just ask for another one because I don't know that, I don't think that's supposed to happen because on my flight back my headphones were fine, although there was still kind of beat up.

というのも、帰りの飛行機では、ヘッドホンがボロボロになっていたものの、問題なく使えたからです。

Um at least the headphone, like the ear piece didn't fall off a little bit surprised they didn't provide an amenity kit.

少なくともヘッドホン、イヤーピースは落ちませんでした。アメニティキットがないのはちょっと驚きです。

I assumed that I would get one being that they are ranked number five in the world for one of the best airlines this year.

今年のベストエアラインで世界5位にランクインしているということで、もらえるものと思っていました。

So that was a little bit disappointing.

だから、ちょっと残念でしたね。

I've flown with gel and in their premium economy and they had an amenity kit which was great because they also provided slippers.

ジェルを使って、そのプレミアムエコノミーに乗ったことがありますが、アメニティキットがあり、スリッパも用意されていたので、とてもよかったです。

So I really liked that the bathrooms were really spacious actually there were two bathrooms that were closest to me.

だから、バスルームが本当に広々としていて、実際、私の近くに2つのバスルームがあったのがとてもよかったです。

An economy and the one on my side, I really, really like the one on my side compared to the other side because I felt like it was twice as big, it was super rooming.

エコノミーと私側のもの、私は私側のものを反対側と比較して本当に、2倍の大きさだと感じたので、超部屋が広くて好きです。

There's lots of room to walk around where you don't feel like you're bumping into things.

歩くスペースが広く、物にぶつかる心配がない。

It was nice and clean that every time I went, it was clean because that's another thing too.

それもあるので、行くたびにきれいになっていてよかったです。

I hate it when I go to when I get in the bathroom and it's like wet on the bottom and I always wonder is that people's hands from being wet or is that someone's p I hate that walking around in someone else's pee, but it was always clean every time I went in there.

トイレに行くと、底が濡れていて、それは人の手が濡れているのか、それとも誰かのおしっこなのか、いつも気になるんです。

So someone was doing a good job keeping it clean.

だから、誰かが上手に掃除してくれていたんですね。

The bathroom didn't have any amenities, extra amenities.

バスルームにはアメニティ、エクストラアメニティがなかった。

Um When I flew with another airline, I believe it was jell yeah, I think it's gels cream economy.

えーと、他の航空会社に乗ったときは、確かジェルえー、ジェルクリームエコノミーだったと思うんですけど。

Um They had like a toothbrush kit in there.

あの、歯ブラシセットみたいなのが入ってましたよ。

So if you wanted to brush your teeth after a meal, they had that.

だから、食後に歯を磨きたくなったら、それがあったんです。

So I was expecting something like that with Singapore's premium economy or at least in their bathrooms.

だから、シンガポールのプレミアムエコノミーでも、せめてバスルームだけでもそういうものを期待していたんです。

Um But they didn't have anything just that, you know the basics, open motion and tell the meals on the flight were decent.

でも、基本的なもの、オープンモーション、機内食はちゃんとありましたよ。

I will say that I've had better meals on other airlines.

他の航空会社の方が食事がおいしかったと言うことです。

But the one reason why I like to choose asian Airlines in particular is because I love rice with my meals and a lot out of the asian Airlines provide rice with their meals.

しかし、私が特にアジア系航空会社を選ぶ理由は、食事にご飯をつけるのが好きで、アジア系航空会社の多くは食事にご飯をつけてくれるからです。

So Singapore Airlines, all of my meals came with rice, which was great.

だからシンガポール航空、食事にはすべてご飯がついていて、とてもよかったです。

One thing that was different that I've never experienced was Singapore's meal choices.

私が経験したことのない違いに、シンガポールの食事の選択肢があったことです。

So right before my flight I wanted to say about a week before my flight, I got an email saying that I can choose my meals online, which I know other airlines do this, but with premium economy you get more selection and and they call it book the cook.

他の航空会社でもやっているのは知っていますが、プレミアムエコノミーではより多くの選択が可能で、Book the Cookと呼ばれているそうです。

So with that I was able to have a variety of choices and meals.

それで、いろいろな選択肢や食事ができるようになったんです。

They did have choices where you would have the same meal choices as economy, but also they had a few other choices that you can book a reserve with the cook.

エコノミーと同じ食事が選べる選択肢もありましたが、それ以外にも料理人と一緒に予約できる選択肢もありました。

So I did that they did have some different options that I really wanted to try and so all of my meals, I went ahead and booked online ahead of my fly.

そのため、食事はすべて、搭乗前にオンラインで予約しておきました。

I'm glad I did this because when I got on my flight, the flight attendants confirmed my meals and then when it was mealtime, my meal came out at least 10 to 15 minutes before everyone else's and that actually is a really nice perk just because then while everyone else is eating, I'm almost done and then I can get up and use the bathroom while everyone is still eating because you know, after everyone eats, that's usually when everyone gets up to use the bathroom and you have to wait in line and that whole ordeal.

フライトに乗ったとき、客室乗務員が私の食事を確認し、食事の時間になると、他の人の食事より少なくとも10分から15分早く私の食事が出てきたので、これは本当にうれしい特典です。

So I didn't have to go through any of that.

だから、そんなことは一切なかったんです。

So every time a meal came out because I had booked mine online ahead of time, my meal always came out about 10 or 15 minutes before everyone else is.

だから、私は事前にネットで予約していたから、食事が出てくるのはいつもみんなより10分か15分くらい早いんです。

So if you're ever writing on Singapore Airlines and the comedy class, I pretty many comedy class.

だから、もしあなたがシンガポール航空とコメディクラスで書いていることがあれば、私はかなり多くのコメディクラス。

I highly recommend selecting your meals online because if you want your meals before everyone else will definitely get it before everyone else if you do that.

食事はオンラインで選択することを強くお勧めします。もし、他の人よりも先に食事をしたい場合、そうすれば間違いなく他の人よりも早く手に入れることができます。

Alright so that is my review of Singapore Airlines premium economy class for the most part it was you know I mean once I got on the aircraft it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience.

さて、以上がシンガポール航空プレミアムエコノミークラスの感想ですが、機内に乗り込んでからの感想はというと、とても快適で心地よい体験でした。

The food was you know it wasn't something that I couldn't eat, it wasn't the best meals I've had on the airline but you know it got me through the flight.

食事は......食べられないことはなかったし、これまで食べた航空会社の食事の中で一番おいしいというわけでもなかったけど、フライト中はそれでしのげた。

So um and then all my meals had rice which I was really happy about.

それで、それから食事はすべて米飯で、本当に嬉しかったですね。

The only the only thing that I didn't really enjoy was the check in process where on my return flight for some reason without any explanation I was just told that there may be a chance that I might have to um might be moved to another seat.

ただひとつだけ、帰りの便のチェックインで、何の説明もなく、「もしかしたら、他の席に移動してもらうかもしれません」と言われたのは、本当に残念でした。

I was I was still in the same section in premium economy but I might have to they might have to move me to another seat which I was not happy about because I always pick my seats ahead of time because I'm so picky about where I sit.

私はプレミアムエコノミーの同じセクションにいたのですが、もしかしたら他の席に移動しなければならないかもしれないのです。

Um But of course there was really nothing I can do.

うーん、でももちろん、私にはどうすることもできないんです。

But they said you know once I get to the gate I would know for sure if um if I would have to change my suit or not it didn't happen.

でも、ゲートまで行けば、スーツを変えなければならないかどうか、はっきりわかると言われたんですが......そうはなりませんでした。

So that was great.

だから、それは素晴らしいことでした。

The other thing is that the baggage allowance is so low for an international flight and in particular with Singapore Airlines they only do this with flights international flights of Canada and the U.

もうひとつは、国際線にしては手荷物許容量が少なく、特にシンガポール航空では、カナダとアメリカの国際線でしかやっていないことです。

So the next time I go to Japan I'm not sure if I would book another flight with Single Porter Airlines just because I have to carry a lot of heavy items with me that I cannot check in my bag.

だから、次に日本に行くときは、カバンに預けられない重いものをたくさん持っていかなければならないからといって、シングルポーター航空のフライトをまた予約するかどうかはわからない。
