So some of you recommended it and we are checking it out today! いいね! Oh boy! 小田急線は都心へのアクセスに優れています [Life in Japan Theme Song] 今日は東京スカイツリーの近くにある 調理器具の問屋街を訪ねます One of the great things about where we live is how easily we can get to Tokyo and its many wards via the Odakyu train line. ルースの反応が楽しみです Today we're going to the far side of Tokyo, near Tokyo SkyTree, お財布の紐が緩むかもしれません We've heard about a street that sells anything and everything you need for the kitchen. 巨大なコップとシェフが見えます! We haven't ever been there before, so I'm excited to see how Ruth will respond, いい感じ! and a bit curious about how much she might spend. 行くわよ! That's cool! Look at all those cups on that building— the chef up there. They are ready for us. ルースの本気です! They are ready! And I am ready! 収納があったら欲しいわ 鍋は大好き! Ruth's like "Let me at 'em!" 欲しい物が沢山! If I had more space, I would buy them because they're beautiful! And I love hot pot. 木製の物が大好き! Oh my goodness, there's so many amazing things! どうしよう! It's all wood, and I love wood stuff. こういう道具もいいわね Oh man, I could use a new...Oh man! 今日は何か買うかな? I don't need this stuff, but I want this stuff. もちろん! This is a lunch plate! ボートよ! Oh my goodness! ケーキ用の型ね Look, it's a boat! このお店見るわ This is all paper crafts for cakes and stuff. - コーヒーショップで使えそう - そうね! Oh, we're going in here! いいね This is awesome stuff for the coffee shop, you know? I know! どんなお店? Very cool. ケーキやチョコの型が沢山揃っているわ What kind of stuff do they have here? プラスチックの型は便利そう They have all the molds for making cakes and chocolates, and for packaging them for selling them. 包装用のグッズも色々あるわ They have all the plastic molds, which are amazing. That's cool. ミニチーズケーキを作って デコレーションの上から蓋できる And all the packaging, like all the paper-wrapping stuff and cup-cakey things. 焼肉! I mean, look, I could make a mini-cheesecakes in this and put a swirl on top with a lemon and still fit a lid! 一人用の焼肉セットね Yakiniku! Very cool! Oh my. 焼肉用品です For your own little Yakiniku place. Oh man, Yakiniku and all kinds of awesome stuff! お店毎にユニークな専門があります Great! Really interesting. 沢山のお店がありますが The more stores we enter, the more we can see how each store has it's own speciality or niche. お店毎に違った専門があります Yes, you see lots of the same things thought the many stores, 新しい発見の連続です but almost all the stores are centered around a theme or service. 看板屋さんです Just when you thought you've seen it all, something unique comes along. - おっと - どうしよう! Get your signs! Oh, very cool. - クッキーカッターです - 次のクリスマスに使いたい! Uh oh! Oh my freaky freaky! パズルみたいに出来るわ Ruth found cookie-cutters. I want this one for next Christmas! 買うわ It cuts out, and you put it together like a puzzle! これはもう… I'm buying this. 天国! Oh boy, look, it's just... Heaven! 今日最初の買い物です OK Ruth, she got her first purchase - そうね - 包丁屋さん I did - at a knife shop. でもクッキーカッター But it was a cookie-cutter at a knife shop. プラスチックよ Oh, these are plastic. ルースが時間と戦っています Ruth's like "we got to keep an eye on the time because it just might get away." キッチンワールド Kitchen world! 和食に関するお店のようです This is like "Washyoku" — for Japanese kind of dishes. これも欲しいわ I want these. Oh yes, very nice. お椀を1個とトレイも It ran me ¥3,000 3千円よ Little did we know, we were about to discover one of Ruth's favorite stores. 次のお店は ルースが大好きな分野でした Cake supplies, cake supplies! Oh my goodness, cake supplies. ケーキ用品です!すごい! I really want one of these, but I want a little bigger mold. これが欲しいけど もう少し大きいといいわ Which one? Oh my goodness, Ruth! どれにする? OK- so they have—just look at those little bento boxes!! 一つ買ってみるわ I'm about to buy one just to have one! 頭はおにぎり! It's a rice bowl on the head! So cool. - 買ってもいい? - もちろん! Oh, I might need to. Can you imagine if I had a set of those and whenever the little nieces and nephews came over, I fed them on that!? 毎日 私のご飯食べたくなるかも! They would want to eat at my house everyday. 値段はどうかしら 氷は入れられる?
