this is the story of a little girl called winnie

これは、ウィニーという小さな女の子の物語です。

who discovers that fantastic beasts  might be more than just make-believe

幻獣を発見した者は、幻獣が単なる作り話でないことを知る。

it's called can you keep a secret and it was  written and illustrated by melissa castrillon

メリッサ・カストリロンが脚本とイラストを手がけた「CAN YOU KEP A SECRET」という本です。

there's a huge tapestry in winnie's house

ウィニーの家には巨大なタペストリーがある

it's very old as old as the town that she lives in

彼女が住んでいる町と同じくらい古いものです。

it tells the tale of the fearsome beasts  that used to live in the woods all around  

昔、この辺りの森に住んでいた恐ろしい獣の話です。

winnie touched the sharp teeth of the dragon do  you think that they'll ever come back she asked  

ウィニーは竜の鋭い歯に触れました......竜はもう戻ってこないと思う？

no said her parents

おやしらず

our grandparents fought a great  battle and now they're gone

祖父母は偉大な戦いをしたが、今はもういない。

that night like most nights  winnie dreamed of dragons

その夜、いつもと同じようにウィニーはドラゴンの夢を見た。

and that night like most nights she  woke to a boom and a rumble and a flash

その夜、彼女はいつものように、ブーン、ゴロゴロ、フラッシュで目を覚ました。

the dragons are back she cried

ドラゴンが帰ってきたと彼女は叫んだ

i can hear them snoring but her  parents called it's just a storm

イビキが聞こえるが、両親は嵐だと言っている。

go back to sleep so winnie slept

眠れなくなったので、ウィニーも眠った

but her dreams were still full of dragons and  the next day she practiced with her wooden sword

しかし、彼女の夢はまだドラゴンに満ちていて、次の日、彼女は木刀で練習をしました。

just in case a dragon comes she said

suddenly the wind started to howl

風が吹き荒れる

winnie come in now called her mum

there's a storm coming winnie looked up at the sky

it didn't look stormy but then a huge  gust of wind swept her up into the air

荒れ模様には見えなかったが、突風にあおられて空中に舞い上がった。

tumbling and twisting over the treetops

梢の上を転げ回りながら

help me she cried

help me she cried

she was soaring over the  hills when she started to fall

丘の上空を飛んでいた彼女は、落ち始めた。

down and down she went until poosh

うんこをするまでは

she landed on the back of an actual dragon

本物の竜の背中に乗ってしまったのだ

the dragon set her down  gently in a far away clearing

竜は彼女を遠くの空き地にそっと置いた

you do still exist she gasped

あなたはまだ存在している 彼女は息をのんだ

sorry if i uh swept you off your feet  sometimes i flap my wings too hard

ごめんね......あなたを驚かせたら......羽ばたきすぎて......大変なことになるわ

the next moment they heard a loud  rumbling and shuffling through the trees

aha said the dragon you could meet my friends too

嗚呼、竜は言った......私の友人にも会えると。

winnie looked up at three extraordinary faces

ウィニーは、3つの異常な顔を見上げました。

i've seen you on the tapestry she cried

I've seen you on the tapestry she cried（タペストリーであなたを見たわ）。

but the creatures just frowned at her

しかし、その生き物は彼女の顔をしかめるだけだった

why did you bring her here growled the lion

なぜ彼女をここに連れてきた？

you know humans always hurt us said the griffin

人間はいつも私たちを傷つけるとグリフィンは言った。

look she has a sword said the tree man

winnie threw down her sword i'd never hurt you

don't mind them said the dragon

it's just we're the last of our  kind so we have to stay secret

i only want to be friends said winnie

so for the rest of the day she did what friends do

she decorated the tree man with flowers

ツリーマンに花を飾った

she collected the tastiest apples for the griffin

彼女はグリフィンのために一番おいしいリンゴを集めました。

and as the sun set she gave the  winged lion's back a good long scratch

日が沈むと、彼女は翼のあるライオンの背中を長く掻いてやりました。

where do you sleep she asked

どこで寝てるんですか？

we don't said the lion

獅子と言わず

at night time humans are asleep

夜人間は眠っている

and that's when we can go wild have  a beastly bash and a hullabaloo

その時こそ、野獣のような大騒ぎをして、大騒ぎをするのです。

as the creatures danced winnie gasped in amazement

生き物が踊るのを見て、ウィニーは驚きのあまり息をのんだ。

it was the noises she heard every night

それは彼女が毎晩聞いていた音だった

winnie danced with her fantastical  friends till the forest shook

森が揺れるまで、ウィニーは空想の仲間たちと踊りました。

then suddenly the sound of horses hooves  echoed through the hills and a voice shouted

すると突然、馬の蹄の音が丘に響き渡り、ある声がした。

winnie where are you

ウィニーどこにいるの

that's my dad i have to go home now

パパだ もう帰らないと

but you can't go home said the griffin you have  to stay with us now or the humans will find us

でも帰れないとグリフィンが言った今一緒に居ないと人間に見つかってしまう

winnie was horrified we're the last ones left

ウィニーは、私たちが最後の一人になってしまったことに愕然としました。

said the tree man so we have to be kept secret

と木人が言ったので、私たちは秘密にしなければなりません。

can  you keep a secret ask the dragon doubtfully

秘密を守れるか、竜に問う

winnie stood tall of course i can

ウィニー・スタンディング・トール もちろんできる

you're my friends and i'd never let you down

あなたは私の友人、私はあなたを失望させることはありません

in that case said the griffin we'll take you  home but we shall have to be quiet as mice

それならば、グリフィンはあなたを家に連れて行きますが、ネズミのように静かにしていなければなりませんと言いました。

tree man kept lookout and  they snuck through the valleys

木人が見張りをして、谷間を抜けました。

until they saw the town through the trees

木々の間から町が見えるまで

then it was time to say goodbye

そして、お別れの時が来た

i'll keep your secret forever said winnie

あなたの秘密は永遠に守りますと、ウィニーは言いました。

winnies parents searched for hours

ウィニーズペアレンツは何時間もかけて探した

suddenly in the distance they  saw a light come on in their home

遠くで突然、家の中に明かりがともるのを見た。

perhaps she's back they cried

たぶん、彼女は帰ってきたんだ......彼らは泣いた

and she was

where have you been we've been so worried

心配したぞ

but winnie was too tired to say

i think it's bedtime said her mum

so they slept and their  dreams were full of dragons

彼らは眠り、その夢はドラゴンに満ちていた。

winnie was right those amazing  creatures did live in the forest

ウィニーの言う通り、森には素晴らしい生き物が住んでいました。

now away you go to bed and remember if you  wake to a boom and a rumble and a flash  

今すぐベッドに入り、ブームとゴロゴロ音とフラッシュで目が覚めたら、覚えておいてください。

it's probably just a storm so whether  you're a dragon a griffin a winged lion or  

ただの嵐だろうから、ドラゴンだろうがグリフィンだろうが翼のあるライオンだろうが

just a good old-fashioned human  sleep well you fantastic beasts

古き良き人間の眠りだ......素晴らしい獣たちよ
