Now, we use adjectives to describe nouns or things.

The first noun we're going to use is 'marker'.

Now, I want to use an adjective to describe the color.

さて、その色を形容詞で表現してみたいと思います。

I'm going to say, “It's a 'black' marker.”

"黒 "のマーカーだよ」と言いたい。

'Black' is the adjective.

黒い」は形容詞です。

Now notice, I have to put the adjective after the article 'a', but before the noun 'marker'.

ここで、形容詞を冠詞'a'の後、名詞'marker'の前に置かなければならないことに注意してください。

“It's a black marker.”

"黒のマーカー "です。

Now, I can use another adjective to describe its size.

今度は別の形容詞でその大きさを表現します。

“It's a long marker.”

Here we have a bird.

So, “It's a bird.”

Again, you have to put the adjective after the article, before the noun.

I can also describe its size.

また、その大きさも説明できます。

“It's a small bird.”

"小鳥 "です。

'Small' is another adjective.

小さい」も形容詞です。

Now, at the last part, we have some apples.

さて、最後の部分では、リンゴが出てきます。

Three apples.

Okay, remember, when we have more than one noun, it's called a plural noun.

さて、覚えておいていただきたいのは、複数の名詞がある場合、それは複数形の名詞と呼ばれます。

So, we have to say, “They're apples.”, with an 's'.

だから、「They's apples.」と、「s」をつけて言わなければならないのです。

“They're apples.”

"They's apples"

I want to use the adjective 'red' to describe the color of these apples.

このりんごの色を形容詞の「赤」で表現したい。

So, I'm going to say, “They're red apples.”

だから、"赤いリンゴだよ "と言うことにしている。

Okay.

なるほど。

Here, there's no article.

ここでは、記事はありません。

There's no 'a'.

a」はありません。

That's because there's more than one.

それは、1つではないからです。

“They're red apples.”

"赤いりんご "です。

So, I just have to put the adjective before the noun that it's describing.

だから、形容詞を説明する名詞の前に置けばいいのです。

“They're red apples.”

"赤いりんご "です。

Okay, let's move on to some more examples.

Okay. Now we're going to practice asking and answering questions using adjectives.

we have to put the adjective after the article and before the noun.

冠詞の後、名詞の前に形容詞を置かなければなりません。

Well, let's take a look at this picture.

The answer is, “No, he's a _____ man.”

答えは、"No, he's a _____ man" です。

We need another adjective.

もう一つの形容詞が必要です。

So, we have to say “No, he's a…

だから、「いや、彼は......」と言わざるを得ない。

In that case, for the questions, we begin with 'are'.
