I gotta get it while it's here. イギリス人はたぶん「それいいね、それ」というんだろうね And that's what I love about Japanese izakaya, 気づいたんだけど、イギリス人は「それ」とかを繰り返す傾向があるから you always have the random specials, say yes to every one of them. 「それ美味しいね、それ」 Soft creamy with nice little skin on the outside イギリス人の喋り方を勉強しているんだ。よくやった! smooth pate creaminess on the inside. おでんの美味しさは出汁にあると思う。 We got finely chopped green onions, sesame oil, and soy sauce on it. It's just- 出汁には味がなければおでんにも味がなくなるからですね。 It's just smashing it. こっちは大きなフトい豆腐 Paul Hollywood would say "that's cracking that." 出汁の味が入ってるから I noticed how in the UK they ususally start and end with the same pronoun. 全然豆の味がしない。 That's delicious that, huh for our UK viewers and learning how to speak your language. M- Good job 皆様、こちらは一番です。 M- I think what makes the Oden is having an amazing dashi みんなが食べたいものです。 like the broth that it's soaking in has to have a lot of flavor 金玉に見えるだろう?ほら、想像してみてほしい so that it actually soaks into all the stuff and this is a giant thick piece of tofu. 白いお餅もいっぱい入ってる。 It's absorbed all the broth and it has like a non-beany taste for once. マ)そんな風に説明していいのかな S- Ladies and gentlemen, this here right now is the best one おう、美味しくてソースがいっぱい「金玉」だから Everyone always wants these. In there are these like little saggy nut sacs. Look at that 今まではこれが一番美味しかった。 Can you can you imagine a saggy nutsack and it's full with stuffed white mochi balls? 美味しくてクリーミーななお餅です。 M- Is this really the way you're describing this? 全部食べていい? S- Yes, look this is a delicious marinated nutsack. M- dripping everywhere サ)もちろん S- Mmm, this is the best one so far. 本当?お餅多すぎない? It's got this beautiful really soft creamy mochi in the middle. お餅は、まるでグレービーのようだね M-. Can I have the rest of it? S- Of course you can girl. サ)確かに! M- Are you sure? This might be too much mochi for me. 出汁につけているからビーフの味もします。 S- Oh, yeah すごくグレービーの味がするけどね!すごくおいしい! M- The mochi almost tastes like a gravy. 良いおでん屋に行かないと、おでんのすごさが分からないと思います。 S- Yeah, M- I think because it's been soaking inside this like broth for so long このお店はたまたまに見つけただけど、外から見ると it's absorbed more of a beefy flavor to it. いい感じだったので、入ってみました。 It really tastes like a gravy that is so great. S- That was lovely その時には、お店の開店の周年だったので M- You really got to go to a place that actually makes good Oden 職人さんたちはズボンを履いていなかった。 to realize that Odin is awesome when it's made right. なぜか分からないんだけど、居酒屋にはそういう習慣があるそうで S- So we found this place one night when we were just wandering by マ)日本の伝統的な褌を履いていたんだけどね and we saw the outside and looked really inviting ズボンなかったけど So we came in, and it happened to be their anniversary at the time. ズボンなしでレストランに行ったことあるの? So none of the owners we're wearing pants. 日本に来てくれれば、できますよ。 M- You heard that correctly everyone. これずーっと待っていたんだよ。いつも食べるから、これ。 S- Yes, supposedly that's a tradition for Izakayas if it's the anniversary don't wear pants. 大きい大根です。 M- no, but they were wearing the traditional Japanese sumo coverings. 出汁に漬けると、魔法のジャガイモのようなものになる。説明しづらいけど S- Covering themselves up, but just no pants. 焼き芋というかフライドポテトというか、そういう感じで I mean, have you ever been to a restaurant with no pants? Come to Japan? しかも、低脂肪だよ。 And go Ja-pantless だから、お腹が空かないので太らないよ。 M- oh BOOOOO 大根の甘さが少し残っているので *maniacal laughter* 出汁の塩味もあるからすごく美味しい。 M- I've been waiting to eat this piece. 食感もすごい。 This is actually my favorite thing to eat almost all the time ビーガン(菜食主義者)なら、食べられますよ。 this is just a gigantic daikon like a huge radish and 魚の出汁だけど when it's soaked in broth, it becomes like a magical potato. サ)ダメかな…それは I don't know how to explain it. やっぱりダメだね。 Like we have a really good baked potato or fried potato サ)オーマイガー!おでんのビデオなのになんでキノコ天ぷらを食べているんだろう。おすすめだったから食べるしかない。 it's got all those flavors soaking in it and it's so low-fat. マ)科学のためよ! You can just eat so many of them サ)食べるしかないね and then not be hungry and then not gain weight. これって何か知っている?白子だよ。 You know and the sweetness from the radish still lingers a bit it 覚えている? So the saltiness of the broth like really bounces up beautifully the texture falls apart. 天すしのビデオへ戻りましょう! Oh man. Hey vegans. You bite into and you're like ただの魚の精巣だ! this just tastes like an egg yolk. 日本に来る時に、ぜひ魚の精巣を食べてみてください。 I guess technically it is an egg yolk like a delicious soft egg yolk. 魚の精巣のお店に行って - Ooh, are you ready to try some deep fried sperm sac> 魚の精巣を買うんだ。 So creamy, if you didn't know that it was sperm sac, 美味いから I think that tasted would be a lot better. (セクシーな声で)この白子を醤油に They just need a whole new branding campaign because it's yummy. Sperm sac is delicious. (セクシーな声で)止めないで M- It just tastes like egg yolk.
