It was such an honor to receive this prestigious award for singers, under the group of SEVENTEEN.

We SEVENTEEN are singers who produce our own albums,

僕たちSEVENTEENは 自らアルバムを作る歌手ですが

And we were awarded with this amazing title tonight. It's a wonderful evening.

そんな僕たちがとても素晴らしいタイトルの賞をいただくことになり 今夜はとても嬉しいです

Right now, the biggest thing I feel is joy.

今は嬉しい気持ちが一番大きいと思います

And now that we were awarded Album of the Year...

今年のアルバム賞なので

It's a whole new feeling.

感懐深いですね

We put so much effort into this album, and it feels like we're being rewarded with the award.

今年頑張ってアルバムを作ったんですけど 賞をいただくことで報われた気がして

I mean, we already got our reward from our CARATs,

既にCARATの皆さんから全ていただいてはいますが

But with this award again,

受賞でもう一度

You made another memorable moment for us.

In Japan, we usually rent a hall for our practice

僕たち 日本では場所を借りて練習をしましたが

And we always practiced to keep in step with the local staff.

現地スタッフの方がいらして 息を合わせる練習をずっとしてきました

We always try our best to show our audience the best performance possible,

お客さんには最高のパフォーマンスをお見せするために

I guess that's how the system settled in.

このようなシステムになったと思います

We can't do it that way in every country,

全ての地域で同じようにはできませんが

But we make every effort to do what we can do to maintain the system.

できるだけ合わせられる部分は合わせようと努力していると思います

This is our second World Tour,

ワールドツアーは２回目で

And there was another Asia-Pacific Tour before,

アジアパシフィックツアーもあったし

We continue to go on these tours

ツアーを続けていますが

And the fact that we can travel across the world with K-POP

K-POPというもので世界を回れること自体が

It's surreal. Currently, we're in Japan where it's close to Korea

とても不思議で 今は近い地域の日本にいますけど

But even if we're somewhere far away from Korea

また遠い地域に行っても

That there are people waiting for us there,

僕たちを待ってくれている方たちがいて

It was interesting in the beginning, but now there's a lot of responsibility that comes along with it.

But when we're starting to get our makeup done, which gives us about 2 hours.

ちょうど今がメイクアップを始めるタイミングなので ２時間くらい空くんですよ

Within that time frame, I think I eat a good amount.

それくらい時間がある時にはしっかり食べる方ですね

After a show, I get so hungry.

終わったらすごくお腹空くので

I got too much food... there's no room left.

I checked everything from start to finish.

There was so much to take care of, even just the stage...

気を遣うことがとても多かったです まずステージも…

The size of the stage was different from Korea,

韓国の会場とサイズも違うし

The members' formations are all different,

動線も全部変わるし

And there were slight adjustments to the cue sheet too.

I don't sleep to balance my energy or anything. I think it's just become a habit now.

Sometimes I just come here and zone out,

ただ座ってぼっとしていて帰る日もあって

I don't always work, sometimes I'll just listen to music...

Like, my second home? Another home of mine.

I felt I had to just let him be.

My job is to let him enjoy music.

I thought, putting him into a certain frame would be the worse thing to do.

ある枠の中に収めようとしたらかえって毒になると思えてきて

Around 2013, 2014? Whenever WOOZI came to the studio,

2013~2014年？WOOZIが作業室に来るたびに

he asked me to teach him certain functions, that's how it began.

「これはどうするんですか」って教えてほしいと言い始めました

Before long, he started bringing me his own work.

それからしばらくして ウジがいきなり 何かを作ってきたんですよ

He'd be like, "How's this one?"

「これどう？」って

And I saw the way he treated music, and him making music of his own,

それ以来音楽に対する姿勢や音楽を作っていく姿を見ていたら

'He's a genius at this...'

この子は本当に天才なんだな…

I felt like that a lot.

そんな風に僕は思いましたね

And I still feel that way now.

今ももちろんそうですし

So it's really fun.

だからすごく面白いです

Some people tell me

他の人から見ると

What I do looks so hard.

大変そうと言う人も多いです

But this is just, literally my daily life.

でも僕にとっては正直 言葉通り本当に日常なんです

I think each member has something different that they do best,

メンバーそれぞれ 一番得意なことは全部違うと思いますけど

And so I think this is the thing I can do best.

その中で僕は これが一番できることだと思っている部分で

So naturally, that drives me to work hard.

当たり前に一生懸命にやってるんです

And I really love it, I do.

We're finally starting!

いよいよ 始めなきゃね

To think of it, we've performed in front of a crowd of 30 people.

考えてみれば30人の観客の前でしたこともあるし

And we keep progressing to this day,

だんだんと発展してきてるんですけど

But I felt much more nervous back then.

正直 あの時もっと緊張したと思います

I was way more nervous when performing in front of 30 people,

30人の前でやった時がもっと緊張したし

and I think it's important to keep that tension,

その時の緊張感やその時に持っていたテンションを

maintaining that nervousness I had at that moment, up to now.

今もずっと維持すること…それが大事だと思います

I'm so thankful to my members.

メンバーにはありがたいことがたくさんあります

Because they're the ones who love my music the most,

なぜなら まず僕の音楽を 一番好きになってくれるのはメンバーですし

I can work with confidence because it's SEVENTEEN's album,

SEVENTEENのアルバムだから自信を持って活動できるし

and the members always tell me how proud they are about making our own album together.

僕らが一緒にアルバムを作ったからとても誇らしいと言ってくれる仲間なので

When I first debuted, I did feel pressured.

デビュー当時は正直プレッシャーも大きかったんですが

But now, I'm receiving so much energy from the members.

今はメンバーからとても大きな力をもらってるので

So I'm always thankful to them.

いつも感謝してます

Everyone must have different backgrounds and lives they carry out,

皆さんそれぞれ住んでいるところも違うし それぞれの生活もあるのに

and they must've taken different paths on the way there.

ここまで来る過程も全く違うだろうし

So it doesn't matter really, whether we make you feel happy, excited,

僕たちを見て すごく嬉しくてとにかく幸せだと感じてほしいし

as long as the emotions are positive for the individual

ここに来て僕たちを見て感じる感情が

I think that's good enough.

皆さんがポジティブに受け入れてくれたら僕はすごく嬉しいです
