are bear the animal and bare meaning not covered let's take a look at our words
we have bear be i R and bear b ar e both of these words are going to be
pronounced with a B b put your lips together and open them up while your
voice box is moving and then the r movement vowel air air to make this
vowel open your mouth in a nice wide circle this will help get your tongue in
the correct place with the tip down and the back pulled up air as you close your
mouth and move to a nice tense square what you're going to do is you're going
to keep the tip of your tongue in the bottom of your mouth and the back pulled
up as you close your mouth your tongue should get into the right the
correct position for that er vowel if you are one of those people that
pronounce is the er vowel with your tongue flipped back away from your teeth
that's fine the key is do not touch your teeth and
do not move your tongue for the R sound it doesn't trill or flap or tap or
anything like that it's just nice and stable so let's put it all together bear
