Um, no, it's all financial related topics.

So it's really anything.

I'm a nerd when it comes to credit cards, making money, investing that money.

And naturally, what I talk about because I could talk about that forever and not get tired about which, oddly enough, when you talk about making money, it makes money.

So it's like this.

It's a cycle of I like making money and I like talking about it, which makes me more money.

So, personally, I have been inspired by Graham's channel, and I came down to Los Angeles to visit him, learn more about what he's up to, and he puts out really high quality content about personal finance and real estate agent advice.

Now, how long have you been running your YouTube channel?

2.5 years.

And what has it been like throughout all of this time, it's been a journey.

I mean, it's been a grind.

It's it's never something.

I started to make money.

I just started making YouTube videos specifically because first of all, I've always wanted to make you two videos.

And I've always watched people on YouTube and been envious that someone could go on, make YouTube videos and, like have fun, always wanted to do it.

So I started.

It had no intention of ever making any money from it.

I just really like talking about finance because I didn't have any friends to talk about money without talking about investing with.

So I would go on, read it instead and like talk with Internet strangers.

And I figured, you know, I think I know enough that I can start making videos on this topic and the fact that people then watched it.

And then I started actually making a little money from it, and that was kind of encouraging to me to think that, you know, I can actually turn this into a profitable hobby, and then now it's sort of evolved and grown to such a massive level than I figured.

Now I should really devote more time to it because, you know, now I can actually see this end result, which is incredible.

Yeah.

So I think that's interesting that you know, a lot of people that they look at you tubers and they think that well, they're just putting out YouTube videos under making a lot of money right away.

But I think that Graham has been developing his content on audience over the past 2.5 years.

When you first started, you probably weren't making much.

And then over time, you slowly began increasing a revenue.

The first year I was making this is 2017.

I was making three videos a week for the entire year.

I was probably spending about 30 to 50 hours a week making videos, and again, I didn't have a life.

I did.

You know, I just basically was so into making you two videos.

I made $26,000 in the first year, one year of working, like, you know, 40 50 hours a week.

26 friend.

Yeah, that's pretty much like a second job that you've picked for 26 k a year.

Yeah, and not only that, but that took time away from me working as a real estate agent, which is really where I made most of my money.

So not only was making less, but that was taking time away from where I could be making more.

But I enjoyed it.

So for me it was it was fun.

I think this is interesting in that this is a long term journey, right?

He didn't just give up right away or even after a year, say, this is something that you felt that you had enough passion and interest in to really push through and continue go.

The reason why I think a lot of people get discouraged is because they do it for the money and they maybe see my channel.

I think Oh my God, he's making so much money.

I want to make money too and they will do it to make money.

This is probably the worst thing that you could do.

If you just want to make money, YouTube is a grind.

I think it's a big risk that you make a ton of videos without any payoff whatsoever.

I could have just as easily been stuck in 1000 subscribers for you know, three years then I could potentially hit a 1,000,000 this year, but I don't do it for the money.

I think the money is just a byproduct of really enjoying what I d'oh.

Oh wow.

That's amazing, because I I only do it for the money.

So we do really consider this type of income, say passive income.

That's a really tough one to answer, because I would say it's it's both of yes and no, I would say probably 20% of the income that I make is from old videos they made, like two years ago.

Like my Roth IRA video that I made in 2017 I believe, still makes about 5 to $700 a month.

2.5 years later, it's still making Oh, I have some other videos that I made on my credit cards that are two years old, that still make a consistent to for, you know, $500 a month consistently that I think it's pretty passive because they rank really high on certain key words.

But I would say the vast majority of it is what Dr Post, today, What did I post last week.

And the thing is, as soon as you post a new video, that's the one that gets pushed.

And that's where all of your views come in.

So even though 20% of my income comes from old videos, I kind of think that its people cycling in from the new videos that go on just happen to watch an old video, too.

So I think if I stopped posting all together, I think I'd probably make between two and maybe 5000 month right now for probably the foreseeable future until you to be there changes up their algorithm, or it no longer is the site that people go to for videos, right?

So it's actually a ton of work to get the bulk of that revenue right?

It's not like you just make us some videos and you sit back.

You have to constantly maintain that, and you have a pretty tough schedule you're putting out, like three videos weekly.

Currently, yeah, what's that like its people?

And here's the thing.

I've refrained from making a video on this because I don't want to ever make it seem like I'm complaining, so I'll tell you and it's on this channel.

But it's not something that I would want to make because any time I make a deal like this, I realized that people don't have as good of a schedule on Don't you know, I don't want to make it seem like I'm ungrateful for any of this.

It is a very taxing schedule because I probably spend per video anywhere between 8 to 12 hours, just creating video that comes down to planning the video.

It is filming the video editing, the video, coming up titles, thumbnails, that that's just the work involved.

Then there is probably another shoe to four hours per video of research that'll do, like the fun dries video.

I probably spent eight hours of research on that spits it just on the video just to figure out what am I gonna say on the video or coming up with topics that I think you're gonna be current that people want to see that are trending that are going to do well on YouTube.

There's a lot of research that you and I enjoy that, though, so, you know, I'd probably be doing it anyway, right?

So what?

You may see It's like, say, the 10 minutes or 20 minutes of actual video results.

But each minute of that maybe took like in the hour to pretty easily.

There is probably at this point, probably between 70 to 80 hours a week.

That goes into making activities, and that's on top of everything else I do.

It's not like this is my only full time thing.

Even I'm putting a lot of time right now on YouTube that is 70 80 hours a week.

In addition to me, doing everything else that I do is a real estate agent and managing rental properties and looking at other properties to potentially.

I mean, it's I don't have a life right now, but I think that's the sacrifice now that I need to give up at this point to really grow in the long term and I'm happy doing that.

People think I just am at my desk talking for 10 minutes off the top of my head, but there is so much research that goes into those videos, so I don't look like an idiot.

I'm never going to make a claim or say something in my video that isn't backed up.

by data and research.

And because otherwise I'll lose credibility if I go and make stuff up off the top.

My head.

Uh, that's that's it.

Well, that's inspiring.

That's absolutely inspiring.

But you know, I am inspiration.

So you're making a ton of money here.

You're generating some passive income.

You're a lot of people with considered successful.

Where do you go from here?

I don't have a plan.

To be completely honest, I had zero plan.

I'm just winging it.

At this point.

I figure out what the only my only plan is Basically, I save 100% of what I make.

That's my Onley plan.

Right now.

It's just don't blow it.

Small opportunity.

I got to grow on social media and I don't take it lightly.

And I figure I'm gonna sacrifice everything else and just focus on this and save it all and be smart with it and invested all because I don't believe this.

Why don't you just go out and, like, you know, buy a Lamborghini or something like that Very close to part of it.

I think I realized is that that the whole Lamborghini thing, I think was really cool to kind of relive what I wanted when I was 16 because I think I noticed a lot of people go back to their teenage years and they get the things that they want when they were a teenager, because those were really big aspirations.

And it's 16 like you want this house and you want this car, you want all these cool things and then it just becomes less exciting as you can actually get them.

And right now, the Lamborghini like I really Even until recently, I wanted the Lamborghini, and then it went from that to wanting a NASA less AMG.

But now it just like, Is that a smart choice?

And I get at least now, more enjoyment from making the smart choice of not getting the Lamborghini and plus, partially, my buddy bought a Lamborghini Eric on Spider itself.

We went to Atlanta Thio basically drive it all the way back from Atlanta to L.

That was seven days straight in a Lamborghini hurricane spider driving across country.

I gotta say, you get the Lamborghini out of your system very quickly by driving it 2200 miles nonstop.

You know, 678 hours a day.

It's out of my system.

Like now.

I don't have the desire to get a Lamborghini after that.

I was the war student ever.

I hated school, could not do anything.

I hated homework, didn't see the point.

So it's terrible to say I didn't see the point of learning math.

I just was like, Why?

Why am I to do homework?

I would most to get D's because that was technically passing.
