  • Oh, everyone, this is Beth of cooking and crafting.

  • Today we are going to be making a clothes pin ornament.

  • All right, so today we are going to be making snowflakes using wooden clothes pin.

  • This is with using the regular size clothes pins.

  • And that might not be the nicest thing to hang from a tree unless you've got a humongous tree.

  • And then they have some medium sized ones, which seems to be almost the perfect size, really.

  • And then there's the's, the really, really anybody tiny ones, and I'm gonna show you on the bigger ones because it's a little bit easier to handle and work with.

  • So let's get started.

  • The first thing I did was I took each clothes pin and I pulled them apart.

  • And I know I'm going to save these because at some point I'm sure I'll be able to figure something out to do with them, and we're gonna use both of these sides.

  • And, as you see here, I have my parchment paper, and that just basically keeps my, um, my crafting area, at least semi.

  • I mean, that way I can just throw this away and I don't have to worry about it, but I've got other stuff on here to worry about to get off.

  • So I'll put down on the side so I can use the other side at some point.

  • Now.

  • Basically, what I did was I grabbed some acrylic paints on and I just went ahead and I painted three sides of this the flat side.

  • We won't have to paint because those are going to be the sides that we are going to glued together.

  • Now, you don't have to have it like, you know, perfectly perfect if, you know, like I was trying to get them perfectly perfect.

  • But, um, you know, there's always a part that will sneak past you.

  • So I just have these, um, Sharpie pens and it's oil based paint.

  • I'm thinking whatever.

  • And then you can go ahead and do whatever touch ups are necessary, and that'll just save you a little time.

  • Um, somebody's probably gonna ask, Why did I do the You know, the whole thing with the Sharpie?

  • Well, that would have taken a lot longer than a paintbrush and a, um, and the paint, it would have taken way longer.

  • So just a few little touch ups here, and there is good enough.

  • Now, once you have your eight sections, I used East, um, 6000 blue and you basically just run a little bit of you're 6000 down the middle here.

  • I'm just gonna make one to show you and then go on with the completed, and then you get the second half on.

  • Did you stick it together?

  • We can make two different types of hangers.

  • Now, this one I found to be the easiest was just to string it through one of the holes.

  • Um, I was putting them in between here, but, you know, between the the two sides here, But you have to find very, very thin, if not like Soo Ji's type of string to put in there.

  • And I do like to try to make it, you know, somewhat fancy ribbon for the ornaments.

  • So once you have eight sections done, I went a little crazy on the 6000 because it kind of got squished, and it starts bubbling out.

  • 67 and eight.

  • Okay, so get rid of all of this extra extra stuff here, and we will focus on our eight pieces here Okay, So the first thing I like to do is build my middle section, and I blew those four pieces together.

  • Let's see if we can get in a little on this one.

  • Yeah, I'm going to use the parchment paper again so that if it does get stuff, it'll get stuck to the fortunate paper, and it will have a much easier time.

  • Um, coming loose.

  • Okay, so they're in there and then two dots on each side of that there and there.

  • Two dots on each sign.

  • All right.

  • And there we have built our centerpiece there.

  • No, I would.

  • I'd normally want to wait for that to dry just because it will be a lot easier, you know, to to push all of these things in together without making them come apart.

  • But we're gonna try to do this all in one fell swoop.

  • Um, put that in between there.

  • Once you have all the components together, it's so fast to put together.

  • Um, I also have some a relic sealer.

  • So once I finish, you know, touching up some spots here and there, and that's dry.

  • I am going to seal it.

  • And then it has the sealant has some sparkle to it.

Oh, everyone, this is Beth of cooking and crafting.
