Hey guys, welcome to Vlogust video ten I think? Did we make it to ten?
Third of the way there! Today I'm gonna do a Q&A 'cause I didn't do much today
I just kind of chilled at home and Greg and I did some more
pokemon hunting, and I figured you guys are kind of sick of the pokemon hunting videos
So, I didn't vlog today. I asked you guys for your questions on Twitter
So I'm going to choose some now and answer them
What's your favorite bar to hang out at in Tokyo and any drinks you like
I don't drink, but there is a bar in Tokyo that will make drinks based off of
movie names that you give them and it's really cool, and if you want you could definitely ask for them without alcohol
I made a video about it a while ago. It's called Whales of August and it's in Shibuya
I will link it up in the cards so check it out
If you haven't watched it yet, but I really really recommend that place because it's super fun
We have a Japanese question! "How did you study Japanese?"
I basically just did a lot of things that I liked I tried to incorporate Japanese into my hobbies
I didn't do any book studying so I listened to Japanese music, I watched Japanese movies, and TV shows,
singing Japanese at karaoke, what else did I do... reading manga?
Stuff like that. Basically, just finding fun ways to incorporate Japanese into my life. So what I would want to keep it up
That's another topic that I made a full length video on so I will also link that one in the cards
I could talk about all the little things that I had forever
But basically try and find something that you enjoy doing so that you'll want to keep it up
For me I really hate studying from books so I knew that if I tried to force myself to study
I just wouldn't wouldn't stick with it. I really like this question
"What is the one thing you wish you could bring to Japan that Canada has and vice-versa?"
Something I would bring to Canada from Japan would be public transit. That's actually on time
Actually shows up doesn't leave you stranded at the bus stop for hours, my town
Victoria in B.C. just they just have the worst public transit or at least that's how it was when I lived there hopefully it's improved by now
but it's just horrid like you never know when your bus is going to show up sometimes will show up 10 minutes early and then
You'll miss it if you go to the stop on time, but in Japan stuff is like on the second on time
And if they're late they'll be like apologizing profusely even if they're like just a minute late
it's amazing and I would love to bring that system over to Canada.
As for something from Canada that I would like to bring to Japan
Grass I miss grass there's not no grass in Japan some of the parks have some fields
but it's it's rare you don't really see houses with a yard outside or a backyard and
I'm stuck if you can get a third cat what breed that you don't already own would you like to get?
I want a cat that looks like this. This is Smoothie. Smoothie is the most beautiful cat in the world besides my cats, but
Yes Smoothie is amazing, and I want a cat that looks just like smoothie. I think
British long hair
Correct me if I'm wrong
But is this not the most beautiful cat you've ever seen
If you could choose one video out of all your content for a new sub or even an old sub to watch
Which one would be and why?
probably
the homestay that I did in
Octave prefecture, which is technically two videos because it had two parts
I
Think that's kind of like an important message to get out there that home stays in Japan and can be amazing I've mentioned this before
But there are several my homestay from hell
Videos on YouTube and I think they're giving people the wrong impression of home stays
I'm not saying that there aren't crappy ones because there definitely are but I really believe that the majority of them are
Amazing and you can have a really good experience in a homestay so yeah, I would want you to watch my home stay video
Is it hard getting a job in Japan without a university degree? I have a diploma, but I don't know if it's accepted in Japan
okay, so
This might be kind of confusing if you've never dealt with the whole Visa system before
But in order to live in a country that is not your own you need a Visa which is permission
to live in the country for a
certain period of time
So getting a job isn't a problem there are tons of jobs that you can get without a diploma without even a high school education
But you need a visa to stay in the country and in order to apply for a working Visa
They want you to have a four-year or more
University degree, so that's the problem. There are some ways around this and a couple of people that have Gotten visa
without it
but I think they were just super lucky or
They had lots of experience in the field of the job that they're applying for which kind of like
Made up for the fact that they didn't have the university degree, so in most cases you
Do need a four-Year university degree or more you can jump on a plane right now to anywhere in the world
Completely paid for where would you g?
I would go to
Hungary and eat all of their longos
Do you like Noodles or Ramen?
Aren't those like the same thing though because Ramen are noodles? I
Don't like Ramen at all
I'm not a Ramen fan. The only ramen that I
Enjoy at all is the Vegan Ramen in Tokyo Station
Because it's not greasy at all. I don't really like greasy soup noodles. This is not my thing
It's way too heavy and my stomach doesn't like it either
But I love pasta so I love spaghetti and macaroni and all those kind of things, but yeah
Not ramen. If you got a dog what breed would it be? I would definitely not get a dog if I was to live in
Japan or anywhere with like a small place like this
I would definitely want to be somewhere where I had a big yard in that case
I probably get something cool like a rottweiler. I like big dogs
Pomeranians are super cute
But I think I would rather have like a really big cool dog like a rottweiler. If you ever come visit France
What is the number one thing you'd like to see? and this year's me now um
I would like to see the
triumphal ark
can't say it in French, not going to try
Because it reminds me of a building in final Fantasy 8 and I've always wanted to take a picture there
What do you think of the furry fandom?
I think the costumes are so amazing especially the heads, my sister actually used to make them
I don't know if she still does, but I was always so amazed at
The detail and sculpting that went into making the heads. I think it's so cool, and I love looking at the costumes
How did you and Keyboard-san meet? We met on a language app.
I could go into the full story another video, but for now, I'll give you that much
What's the biggest thing you'd like to be able to do before you die? I would like to be fluent in more languages
Next on my list is Korean
How long do you think you'll be a youtuber, or is there a condition when you will definitely quit?
Um I can't think of anything that would make me quit
like having a kid or something I probably wouldn't stop Youtube because of that, so
It's really hard to say how much longer I'll do it alright guys I can end the video here
That's probably long enough and let's choose the two winners of the giveaway
