  • I feel like today is a little bit different.

  • I'm not gonna be telling you what I'm wearing, but I'm gonna be telling you how it makes me feel and why I picked this particular outfit for today.

  • I think that's something that I wish I'd kind of done over the years with all of the times I've stood in front of these mirrors and 23 what I'm wearing.

  • I've never really told you how they make me feel and why I wear them on dhe when it comes to the interview process.

  • You always want to be putting your best foot forward on Dhe, feeling confident at the same time.

  • So I've picked this particular dress because it's a little bit colorful, a little bit more colorful than I would usually go for.

  • However, I feel like it's putting a aspect of my personality across.

  • I think I've got quite a colorful personality, Andi.

  • I think this is a good choice, but it's also quite smart because it's a colored dress on.

  • It is down to my sort of Shin's, so even though it is colorful, is still quite smart at the same time, so hopefully I'll be putting my best foot forward today when I'm meeting the amazing ladies at Smart Works.

  • Obviously, I'm not going to have cow with me today, for obvious reasons.

  • This is a environment that is a safe haven for women.

  • So I'm taking my best friend, Carrie, who also works with me, And she will be buying the camera, hopefully capturing all of the amazing work that they're doing today.

  • So I'm gonna jump in my car and go meet Carrie in the station, and we're gonna head down to London together to this small legs offices, huh?

  • But seeing everything here, it just takes my breath away.

  • I can't imagine what one confidence you have hold of these amazing I thins to choose from, and it's so important that you always putting your best foot forward.

  • But I was just saying to undergo because she's colorful person on one of the things that I used to do when I was going through the interview process Post University, where I always felt quite corporate and quite monochrome when I was going to interviews.

  • But I always need to have a little bit of color on me so much just to remind me of who I was.

  • So we're like, really colorful pants.

  • One of those things you do.

  • I don't just know that that was there, and it made me feel happy.

  • I'm gonna speak to Debbie and Claire, who have been helping undergoing today as well.

  • We're just gonna be talking through the looks that they called for her and also just the entire process from start to finish because I think it is absolutely fascinating.

  • Look into it.

  • Should we just stick it back?

  • Why should we introduce Navy?

  • And in the end, we decided Wait, Stick with black like that so that she's got the max moment.

  • Changeable yet cases Given that Charles is your address.

  • A slightly different black jackets and brilliant thing about these new ones.

  • So important have places like this, you know, quite so comfortable hearing you speak about it.

  • It's really it was such a positive.

  • Such a fantastic experience that came out so and, you know, make me feel so comfortable.

  • Make me act.

  • This is This is crazy.

  • This is really should be.

  • Okay?

  • Get that Come back here.

  • I Honestly, that was the best experience the best thing ever happened to me.

  • But this is my first time seeing someone actually lives.

  • I'm just so happy for you.

  • That short tap it just had is gonna help.

  • So many women know that this this is here.

  • I think this is obviously seeing more.

  • So it's just together.

  • Yes.

  • Yeah, yeah.

  • Along its I think that's gonna be one of the things that's really everyone.

  • Yeah, that's going into into yet.

  • When you like.

  • You're saying being knocked back so many times you just find yourself in a point.

  • Once upon a time, he might have confidence going through that time and time again.

  • It was so hard to come back from that.

  • So you have people that able to offer tips on how to do that.

  • Thio, stop dress.

  • You'll be going into different places where you hotels and all sorts of different locations.

  • So we decided we would stick just with Black, although she probably could wear Navy as well.

  • Because then we could give maximum choice and into changeability amongst amongst the items.

  • So you saw that Antonioni had the dress and the jacket for her interview.

  • What we had today is another John Lewis jacket, but with a slightly different color on then.

  • Also John Lewis, a pair of no fled trances and very much look of the season but really practical wide leg lots.

  • And both of these could go with the jacket and then it just library shows about it.

  • I'm finally a black straight skirt, so everything here will see to go through what, in winter.

  • Yeah, yeah, whilst it worked yet perfect.

  • Like I said, what he suggested was that investment point taking pieces that cost more money, absolutely things that you can lay around, maybe less the crime site and get the look.

  • It's all about the key club.

  • How?

  • Like that dress?

  • You elevate the water and then you go to a different street.

  • Wasn't pick up bits that Yes, you need on a date today.

  • Thank you very much.

  • This is the perfect start today.

  • I can't wait to see the rest.

  • Think this is just amazing.

  • It's amazing that the best you can like Neto almost well up like that.

  • Since I'm no a very emotional person, she's not.

  • This is leaky face.

  • She's always crying, but I I wasthe when she's saying her story.

  • Oh, my goodness.

  • I was struggling to like you need a lifetime supply of Kleenex in this place.

  • I'd be bawling the whole day rewarding into Yeah, I said it because a lot of them are coming because that's amazing.

  • Want to come?

  • May is just with every minute.

  • So we have a number off large retailers that incredible on donates every season across all sorts, dressings, jacket suits.

  • She's so this is just a small small collection because it's helpful to see Yeah, so they're not in a particular order that you every label a huge, huge.

  • And it's their work.

  • Where is it?

  • It's what?

  • This stuff Where?

  • Yes, yes, There's the other retirees supply really lovely eclectic mix of things, which, which is really helpful.

  • There is no just necessary station.

  • I wanna spring summer collection install now, which is a lovely thing to say.

  • Well, yeah, I mean, it's no, just yeah, actually getting to where I was trying to What type of industry they go into.

  • What role is that?

  • They're going to jail.

  • So So you're giving them right?

  • Look, yet, you know which yet it's absolutely fits in.

  • And then Hobbs is another Another big sponsor.

  • Get shoot so amazing.

  • I like you would just feel so like you are your best bet with you, Have you?

  • And then the idea of holding started practice.

  • And this is keep fit.

  • Just get the fit is just definitely on Evans as well.

  • I didn't have any beer from Evans here, but they just fantastic.

  • They go up two sizes that really need because we stop here up to size 33 they provide us with a lot of those bigger size pieces.

  • They were really I'm full Evans.

  • Is there any particular sizes?

  • Any You really feel like you need more?

  • Yeah, it's anything from a size 16 up.

  • Really?

  • Because that tends to be the kind of short for with retailers on providing choice, I would say the largest size from 16 up place.

  • Now just lie.

  • She's well, And you accept donations from people like me.

  • Yes, She Yes.

  • Today is a very good time.

  • Yeah.

  • Yes.

  • Handbags are many challenge for Well, I get *** on.

  • That's something that I can I can get me any tax.

  • They're finishing touches that just taken out.

  • Hold you in my head.

  • I got to Yeah, I get that water weight.

  • Yeah, I'll get it.

  • Is there any particular way you send it?

  • They just have to be sent into so we don't go kind of collective, right?

  • So they would have to be shipped into us to the white Drax, Obviously with the UK reach of small likes to be the centre, right?

  • I just kind of a noble things really weak.

  • Don't accept anything with holes or Well, Mark's everything should be as as we will be able to get away alive.

  • The detailed description box download is gonna be a lot of information down there, but everything that you guys So yeah.

  • So I thought we'd finished up with Auntie Joan, but she's actually just having her makeup done with one of the Bobby Brown s experts that we're gonna go and take a look at that in a second.

  • But the ladies have just shown me what happens when you come for your first fitting.

  • Everyone is given one of these amazing Orla Keily makeup bags filled with products that their stuff from Bobby Brown.

  • There's stuff from Burt's bees on dhe.

  • They're all completely unopened.

  • I get inside.

  • So it's hard doing this 100 isn't it?

  • There we go.

  • So there's some eyelashes in their face masks.

  • We've got some Seattle melted metals from shower gel.

  • So that's what you will receive on your first dressing appointment.

  • And so there's lots here for any of the ladies that come in for their first resting appointments.

  • very soon, but now we're gonna go and see how she's getting on with Bobby Brown, which is one of the partners with smart work.

  • So it's gonna be amazing to see how they fit into the mix of this.

  • What's that foundation?

  • Just something.

  • Anything.

  • And you have worked together before.

  • Okay, amazing it is this your past?

  • I'm experiencing this side.

  • It is right.

  • I think, for such amazing spread, I shave, right.

  • Well, we will be making It's kind of like one of the best.

  • Yeah, five days.

  • You never know.

  • So we've just finished up with aunt ago, and now we are sitting in with the interview coaching process, and I'm actually going to speak to the ladies that are behind the whole thing.

  • And this is the one thing that I am so so excited about because I've always understood the power of dressing and how it makes you feel.

  • But this is the part of this that makes it really beautiful because it's not just making you look the part.

  • It's making you confident in your abilities on dhe, making you feel like you're equipped going into the interview process and hopefully like to go.

  • You guys want to get the job?

  • So I'm really, really excited to speak to Lindsay and carrying today on dhe.

  • I can't wait to hear what they've got to say.

  • So we've got some questions prepared, but I know they're gonna They're gonna tell me lots more about it.

  • So let's get into the So this is the part off the process, I think is gonna be the most informative on the most valuable.

  • So I would love to just hear about what?

  • What happens when women come to this section of the smallpox process?

  • Yes.

  • Any areas that I think that you would like Thio that people know what is involved in helping anyway.

  • Or if you need any tools in this this area, then this is the perfect place for you to make that.

  • Yeah.

  • So it's It's just such a rewarding thing.

  • They for us, particularly sitting in the coaching room because they come out of there dressing on there already boosted quite significantly because they got some amazing clothes.

  • I think you've seen that yet.

  • I make things jealous.

  • They come in here.

  • We always asked to see what we've got in their bag.

  • because sometimes quite nervous when they come in here because they think it's going to be a bit like the actual job interview.

  • Yeah, and sometimes you can see in their eyes they're a little bit daunted by this part of the process because it's a part of the next stage of the process that they're also most worried about.

  • So when they come in here, I typically try to do everything I can to put them at least to start with.

  • So talking aboutthe really helps with that on.

  • My first major goal is just to pick up.

  • Some people haven't had an interview for maybe 10 15 20 years.

  • A lot of people who have bean home looking after Children for a long time when you are just coming back into the workplace, we have people who sometimes they think you're leaving prison.

  • We have people who have bean refugees and arrived in this country quite recently, but we also have people who have good qualifications, but you have really struggled to get work recently.

  • You can't believe that you just have lost your home, absolutely.

  • Actually, I find that often those people are the people who are most likely to be upset when they come in because they there's a lot of frustration or lack of understanding or self doubts about why they find themselves suddenly in this pressure position.

  • Yeah, and so I intend to start off by asking them what they're most worried about.

  • The interview process.

  • Then I would tend to work with more on that.

  • That might be typically, how to explain away this the gap in their in their work history or in their CB what to say.

  • Yeah, I like.

  • How will I explain that?

  • What will the employer expect?

  • Or it might be that they don't know how to answer that really challenging question.

  • Nearly old employers asking for stuff, which is tell me a bit about yourself, the Black Sea to pay for questions Just after I say something I try to help people with because I think if you could really kick it off strongly and confidently, then you're much more likely to make a joke of the rest of it.

  • All these things are things that if you think about it with a bit of help, you can turn into skills which are relevant for work.

  • It's a positive that they wouldn't have known.

  • That legacy is everyday life.

  • I have so many positives takes a case that yeah, so I see a big part of what we do here is the annual boat trying to find those positives and help people to see for themselves on to help people, to leave this room, feeling more confident about the interview with Good to Have you felt lonely when they're right, something you can also do, which I think is really important I'm really trying to do is to normalize the way that they're feeling.

  • Yeah, because everyone feels super Angie.

  • An interview on it's to Do with Your Brings chemistry because our fight or flight response kicks in an interview situation because that's the most dangerous thing that could happen to you, right at that particular moment.

  • In time, when you'll passionate you all gonna be knows and you really want something that's a good response.

  • Absolute people, even the people that you think I wouldn't experience nervous is Beyonce.

  • She experiences on That's no, it's weird, but do you think the eyeglasses figured out?

  • Actually, it is absolutely Isaac, with two senior people every day of the week, and every single one of them is terrible.

  • Managing room stress in their backside.

  • Yes.

  • Oh, I would share that with people who come in here as well, because I think it's really important that intern you're mostly unless the interviews particularly unusual, wants to do a good job.

  • Yeah, interview really wants you to do a good job.

  • The interview has spent a lot of time going to Stevie's choosing people, preparing the questions prepared for the interview like moments.

  • I think that your loss invested in you as well here's really willing you on that types and circumstances that you see most comics.

  • I think that there's probably gonna be a lot of women watching this, and I think I'm laying his position on my right to go to small blacks and well to start with their two bacteria, which are that you have to be worked for computer time and you can't be in a job moments.

  • You have to be referred to by someone, so typically that would be a job centre your your employment.

  • Goto would refer you or lots of charities which help people to trust each other.

  • People get into work would Ribery, you want regularly?

  • Go to the job centre?

  • You could say so.

  • This is a bit more.

  • Hell, yeah.

  • Can you could be in touch with Mel.

  • I do that.

  • That's the last.

  • I absolutely you could do that where I was happy to build more relationship.

  • Other organizations as well.

  • You are trained coach.

  • Executive court?

  • Actually, yes.

  • Is that No?

  • No.

  • Can anyone coming?

  • Yeah.

  • So the people who come do coaching tend to be people who have quite a lot business experience over the MIC.

  • People reports in HR, Some people are our genes coaches on.

  • I wanted to do because I had a pretty big full time corporate job for a long time when I gave that up on free trade, 23 lances and executive coaching and suddenly I had a bit more time.

  • I really wanted to do something that would make a difference.

  • Yet everybody does.

  • It sounds corny, but no, actually want to get a difference.

  • I think we'll do.

  • Yeah, it's really one of the most rewarding things do.

  • Yeah, that's the general consensus speaking.

  • Everyone here is it was believed in a dressing equipment, everyone visibly getting emotional about how amazing it is that they do.

  • Yeah, it's just incredible.

  • Every every time I'm here to just meet so many different people and help them change their lives.

  • Yeah, because I think the biggest thing for me is being able to, you know, have hundreds of thousands of women that watch what I'm doing it.

  • Yeah, And I'm sure a lot of them how I changed this circumstance that I found myself on dhe.

  • I was saying to the other ladies that they message me running.

  • I get a lot of messages from women here.

  • I don't know what to do.

  • They reach out to me.

  • They don't think I'll ever read the message, just vocalizing how they're feeling.

  • And it's in my in box.

  • It's actually been increasing over the last year, you felt, but I want to help them that I don't know how you think this is the perfect place.

  • Yeah, women in those situations, you know, on dhe start the process of changing their lives in me.

  • It's very important as well.

  • However, I know if I am just the middleman, putting them thio meant everything I said.

  • That seems like I'll get a comprehensive.

  • That's pretty real Iwas.

  • I just finished up with the interview coaches, which was just fascinating.

  • I was so excited for that one.

  • Probably the thing that was most excited about Andi.

  • Now I'm gonna be having a chat with Kate on Kay's CEO or smart works on dhe.
