They're going guys, Mr Boss, for the win here and in today's GT A video, we have a lot of industry news to talk about how today is an important day for Rockstar Games and how they will never be the same after today.

Some big news coming out of the E 3 2020 convention and a whole lot more.

So today is Wednesday, March 11th 2020 and you might think it's just a normal Wednesday.

But for Rockstar Games, this is one of the biggest days in there.

Cos histories.

And in case you guys don't remember, on February 4th 2020 rock star actually announced that Dan Hauser, who is the co founder and current vice president of Rockstar Games, was going to be leaving.

So this is what rock star and Take two Interactive had to say about Dan Hauser leaving.

They announced this again on February 4th, saying after an extended break beginning in the spring of 2019 Dan Hauser, vice president Creative Rockstar Games will be leaving the company.

Dan Hauser's last day will be march 11th 2020.

We are extremely grateful for his contributions.

Rockstar Games has built some of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful game worlds, a global community of passionate fans and an incredibly talented team, which remains focused on current and future projects.

So that's what rock star had to say about Dan Hauser leaving.

And today is the day, March 11th 2020.

So it is his final day now.

That was what rock Star said.

Now we also heard from Take Two Interactive and their CEO straws, Zelnick, on what exactly was going on here.

He said this.

So Dan Hauser had been on an extended leave since early spring, 2019.

The company has been led since its founding by Sam Houser, who is president of the company.

And it's an extraordinary team effort, and Sam is a great player in coach.

The label has really never been stronger, where were incredibly optimistic and excited at the same time.

We're grateful for Dan for his contributions, and we wish him well, and Zelnick goes on to say, I don't typically speak for other people, but I confidently can speak and say that Sam is highly committed to the organization, and Sam and I work very closely together and it's an enormous pleasure to be in business with Sam and the entire team at Rock Star.

And last but not least, he goes on to say, culturally, I've only seen ongoing improvements at Rock Star, frankly, have only seen growth and engagement and innovation.

I, frankly, couldn't be more proud of how effectively that label is operating.

I think this year has been one of amazing strength.

I mean dropping content on the same day for both Red dead online and G Ta online and delivering content that set records in terms of engagements and player excitement and, incidentally, revenue and profitability.

So things couldn't be better.

So that's what Straw Zelnick had to say about Dan Hauser leaving and the state of Rockstar games.

And again today, Wednesday, March 11th is the day so many people have speculated, including myself.

What sort of impact this is going to have on future rock star titles.

I mean, he's basically been the brains and the storytelling behind you know, huge projects such as red dead redemption, bully, Grand Theft Auto and a lot of people obviously were wondering how this would have an impact on G T A six well, if Grand Theft Auto six is to be released anytime soon, within the next couple of years, the story, for the most part, would have already been written.

Which means Dan Hauser would have likely already put his insight and his legacy into that game.

So as far as G T A.

Six is concerned, I wouldn't say there would probably be a huge change in anything about his leaving.

He did leave in early 2019 so you'd sort of have to think about it from like a year Agos perspective.

But I still don't think his leaving is going to have a huge impact, at least on the next GT a title.

Now, what games come out after that?

I think that's a bigger story.

But obviously at this point in time, everyone is, you know, heavily focused on g t a six and when that's gonna be coming out.

So I guess we'll really just have to wait and see over the next couple of weeks or months, or whenever that might be to see the impact of this.

And at least as of now, Rock Star have not made any other public announcement or acknowledgement of Dan Hauser leaving.

So I'm assuming it's going to be just like Leslie Ben's ease leaving the company.

He's just going to walk out that door for the final time, and then business will continue like normal.

But at least publicly, from what we've heard from Rock Star and Take Two Interactive, it seems as if they're confident there aren't going to be any big changes and that the company is still heading in the right direction.

But it truly is the end of an era at Rockstar Games, and they will never be the same after this as again.

They're co founder Dan Hauser has left the company for good.

Now in some other industry news and also sort of related to Rockstar Games.

Take two interactive and potentially a future Grand Theft Auto title.

E 3 2020 the Electronic Entertainment Expo.

This happens every summer where obviously a ton of game developers and publishers come together.

They show off their new titles.

They announce things they're going to be doing in the future via conferences and what not well, E 3 2020 has been canceled.

So this is an official statement from the E S A, which is responsible for putting on the annual convention.

They shared this news today after careful consultation with our members, cos regarding the health and safety of everyone in the industry.

Our fans are employees are exhibitors and our longtime E three partners.

We have made the difficult decision to cancel E 3 2020 which was scheduled for June 9th through 11th in Los Angeles.

And as sort of a follow up to that, the E.

S.

A has confirmed that it is exploring options for an on line experience for E three.

So it looks like as of now, e three is officially canceled in person.

But there could be an online experience that we see um, announced over the next couple of days or weeks.

I'll be sure to keep you guys updated on this.

Also, I don't know how many people are actually attending e three, but the TSA went on to say that it will be in touch with both exhibitors and attendees regarding full refunds.

Now, what does this mean for rock star and take two interactive?

Well, we know that take two interactive was going to be at e three.

Now we don't know if that's officially related to rock stars.

Take two.

Interactive could have been there for one of their annualized sports titles or another new game outside of the rock star branch.

And even the rock star doesn't traditionally show up on their own.

We have seen Rock Star make appearances at E three in the past to make significant grand theft auto announcements like, for example, at E 3 2006 Rock star appeared at Microsoft's press conference to announce that Grand Theft Auto four is coming, which is pretty cool.

It was like the worldwide reveal at e 3 2014 an event that I was actually at, which was pretty cool.

Rock Star appeared at Sony's press conference to announce the Grand Theft Auto Five was gonna be coming to PlayStation four and Xbox one.

So even though it's kind of a rarity that rock star does show up when they do, it's always been to announce something regarding Grand Theft Auto in a new way, shape or form.

So it is a shame that this year it's been officially canceled again.

It remains unseen what all these companies are going to do and also what is going to happen.

So again, this is a story that I will leave links to in the description and also one that will be following up on as more information comes out and arrives.

And the final bit of industry news today actually comes directly from Rock Star.

I didn't really know where else to talk about this.

I figured, Hey, let's throw it at the end of this video, Rockstar Games is doing an end of winter sale now through March 17th.

They announced this on the news wire.

They said Add red dead redemption to or Grand Theft Auto five to your collection with incredible offers during the Rockstar Games End of winter sale now through March 17th.

There's also a 15% discount on the G t A online Meg Ladan Shark cash card for PC and up to 70% PC download versions of classic titles like Elena, where Max Payne three and More on the Rockstar Games Launcher and at the Rock Star Warehouse get 50% off classic rock star titles and 40% off select gear, including, for the first time ever, apparel and collectibles from the Red Dead Redemption to outlaws essential collection.

So pretty cool, a little sale going on where you can get, you know, bonus money with shark cards you can get, you know, gear that you might have been always looking for or titles for free.

I don't really know why Rock Star is deciding to do this.

It seems a little bit random.

And in case you guys are wondering when March 17th is its next Tuesday, it's actually ST Patrick's Day, so I'm not sure if you know, after this end of Winter sale, rock star will announce something, but it's sort of interesting, and that's why I wanted to throw it in at the end of this video.

But anyways, that's all the information that I've got for you guys in this video today regarding rock star, their co founder, Dan Hauser, leaving E 3 2020 being canceled and the impact that could have on Rock Star and Take Two interactive and an interesting sale that's going on that ends on a pretty weird date and what that could mean for the end of March.

Remember, there's been a lot of rumors that something towards the end of March regarding GT a six might end up happening that we've discussed in previous videos, so I do find that to be a little bit interesting.
