  • A Corona virus outbreak has led to the first federal quarantine in decades.

  • And joining us now is someone who is part of that effort.

  • Matthew McCoy.

  • Now, Matthew, thank you very much for joining us.

  • Do we have Matthew?

  • There we are.

  • Thank you, Matthew, for being on with us.

  • So just to be clear, you will not been diagnosed with a Corona virus, but have been quarantined at a March air Reserve base in California for the last 13 days.

  • None of us are.

  • We're all absolutely verified clean, and we're all hitting our separate ways in about two days.

  • We're all absolutely changed by the CDC.

  • That justice, they did a blood test, everything.

  • And so I'm sure you are counting down those last 48 hours.

  • What kind of reaction did you have when you first learned that you needed to be quarantined?

  • We were relieved.

  • We were very happy because we wanted to be in quarantine to make sure things were okay.

  • We work hand in hand with the CDC, the embassy, the military, the U S, marshals and FEMA.

  • We want to make sure everybody's safe.

  • The public safe.

  • So when we leave, there's no stigma about it.

  • You know, everything's good to go and explain what this time has been like for you under quarantine.

  • I think a lot of people are just isn't reading books is ever What do you What are you doing To pass the time waiting.

  • A kind of a portion of the base where the barracks hotels on one side of a giant courtyard parking lot and this side of it also.

  • So we've been able to run.

  • Kids have been able to play outside and do talk.

  • Jones.

  • We've had classes, town hall meetings we've had in our classes.

  • We've had Zumba always leather making two small business development.

  • And it is somebody regularly coming in and checking your temperature or just making sure constantly, that you're not sick.

  • Yes, you have to do that every day, at least twice a day, once in the morning and then once in the afternoon.

  • And then we self jacket night as well.

  • All right.

  • Matthew will continue to stay safe and well, and we hope that you're able to be out of that quarantine very soon.
