The first period in general just getting a lead going into the dressing room with the lead way.

Haven't liked our first period in the last few games.

And, um, you know, I thought we played really well.

We came out hard, and we're ready to battle on.

Our compete was good.

And, you know, we executed well in the first period.

That was important.

Approaches.

Goal.

Because they were really making a push in the same period.

How huge.

That way we lost maths.

And for 15 minutes of second period and we went down to five D and, you know, it was it was tough.

We're playing a lot in our end and to get that power play was timely.

And the goal, you know, we finally shot it were all screaming from the bench is to shoot the park and we finally shot.

It went and he did a great job on the screen on that goal.

He battled hard and made some big saves of the right times for us.

You feel like it gave you really have to win tonight?

I mean, yeah, I I don't think you know that the race were in and the time that's left in the season when we couldn't afford to lose two in a row, you know, and we know we're going on the road next week for some important games as well.

So it was really important to get back back into the winning column and collect two points.

And again, just keep trying to march are way up.

Standing board performing provides a peace of mind for you, knowing that he is replaying a lot with the tight schedule you have.

Yeah, you know, I think that's a perfect game for, um, you know, we'll make decision going forward here.

I think a factor was a P K tonight against one of the best power.

Yeah, it was, um it was very good, you know, it was important I think all our special teams were really good tonight, and especially even in the third period when we had to kill off.

A couple of those are important.

They get one the night before against Carolina.

We'll see what they did there.

So we had to make sure that, you know that those reported kills for us, considering Boston had just come off of a game where they mounted a huge comeback in the third period, having that shutdown mentality to finish it off, is that something that you really liked from the guys?

Yeah, that's what we talked about between the second and third.

It was sort of a playoff mentality and we didn't like the way we managed a puck in the second period.

We had a ton of turnovers and on we just talked about, you know, putting pucks behind him and making him come 200 feet and on.

That's the best kind of defense you can have.

So we did that.

We came out in the third period.

I thought that we managed to talk a lot better and, you know, and the ships were our ships were shorter.

Our line changes were better a lot of little things that takes to win games like that.

So real happy to see our effort in third period.

You know, the batter's Matheson thing was, it was the right call all the way around.

I think the refs got it right.

You know when, uh, plays like that?

I was, you know, Maddie coming in.

I have no issue with that.

You know, it's it's something that should be automatic.

And I think that's what it's turned into for this team.

I think these guys were fighting tooth and nail for each other, and that's a good example of that.

Came back in.

I mean, that could have been a lot more dangerous than it was, and it was good to see that church got right back up.
