  • Hey, guys.

  • And welcome to what is officially the only possibly attractive quarter of my entire dorm.

  • I spent like, half an hour trying to scout out someplace that didn't look fugly.

  • And I came up with this.

  • So I hope you guys appreciate this aesthetic.

  • Recently, I have been trying really hard up the quality of my content.

  • So I don't know if you notice, maybe should, like subscriber something I don't know.

  • But that's enough shameless self promotion for one video today, I'm gonna be talking about the top spring fashion trends where you can buy them at an affordable price point.

  • How I would style, though, and just thrown in a little bit of unedited Ashley Sas.

  • So let's get started.

  • I'm a little note section here.

  • I'm so organized my first friend, which is not very concisely worded because it's kind of a jumble of things.

  • Is this hole frill slash off the shoulder slash asymmetrical silhouettes trend?

  • Obviously, we've seen this kind of ruffles thing happening at the end of winter, and it's definitely translating into spring and a lot of linens and kind of like textured fabrics.

  • A lot of stores are carrying increasingly bold like shoulder ruffles on being ties at the end of the sleeve that go into big end of the sleeve ruffles.

  • I don't know what they were called, but those could be great if you have more like a pear shaped body where you want to emphasize your shoulders and bring balance to some wider hips.

  • I have more of a triangle figure or my shoulders are wider than my hips.

  • So wearing that trend doesn't really work for me, because it just makes me look more imbalanced along the same lines.

  • A lot of time in combination with the ruffle and off the shoulder detail.

  • We're seeing these dresses that are one shoulder with kind of a ruffle covering the boo binge.

  • I'll insert a picture here so that you can see what's going on, but you can find those that, like Abercrombie H and M.

  • Zara.

  • Of course, sorry is a really, really great one.

  • If you're into this ruffle Trans because they are going all out like I was scrolling through their website earlier today and pretty much every dress that they have has some amount of ruffles on.

  • Anyways, I know that Zara and Cop shop, as well as some higher end designers, carry a lot of like bold, asymmetrical looks where it's like the full sleeve.

  • It has like a possibly going on.

  • It's something really intense, but I feel like those could be intimidating for everyday.

  • So I feel like a much more accessible way to get into the whole asymmetrical.

  • One shoulder trend is with a short sleeve.

  • Or just I guess it's like a ruffle.

  • It's not even like a full sleeve.

  • And he's actually great because depending on which one you get, you could totally convert it.

  • If you buy an off the shoulder dress that elasticized, you could always just take one arm out, put the other arm up here and then turn it into on officeholder dress.

  • I had one to demonstrate this with, but I'm broke and I haven't got one yet.

  • And then you could also, if you really want to go for it, take both arms out and make it into a strapless dress, and I would be really cute to another thing That I've noticed with Dress Alouettes is that we're leaning a lot more towards the shift dress as opposed to maybe like five years ago, you saw a lot of those skaters slash aylan dresses that were tight on the waist and then flared out.

  • I'm kind of sad to see those go, actually, because I thought they were really flattering and they help.

  • You have kind of an hourglass figure versus on a shift dress.

  • It's easier to look more like a blob.

  • Definitely, if I'm going for a shift dress, always parent with a pair of heels so that I still look more feminine.

  • I don't look Thio kind of childish, I think.

  • Overall trend in dressing ignoring the crazy festival scene going on right now is that things are getting along.

  • We're conservative, they're less like body con.

  • The hems are getting a little bit longer because this whole mini skirt thing that's still happening, what I think is interesting.

  • I think before we were getting a little crazy with the cutouts.

  • So it's kind of cool to see um or doom your sense of fashion come back into style.

  • Another big trend that's been happening ever since the Gucci runway in like full of flash winter is this whole maximal is a movement which I think is really interesting, although I'm definitely not a master of it.

  • There are some crazy florals this season, obviously, florals for spring or not revolutionary, as they say in The Devil Wears Prada.

  • But some of these are actually really out there.

  • They're incorporating really bright colors or just some crazy patterns, and then mixing them with stripes and polka dots, which I actually love florals and polka dots.

  • I think that's such a cool combination.

  • I'm definitely gonna try to coerce some powdered mixing out of my closet this season.

  • In the spring spirit, I wore one of my only floral pieces.

  • This is a little too understated to be trendy, but you know what?

  • I tried hard and top shop or again great places to look for some boulder patterns and some cool pattern mixing dresses.

  • I know they're a little bit more on the expensive end, but I think if you're going to be mixing a bunch of different patterns, that actually takes a really skillful eyes.

  • So sometimes it's worth paying more for a better designer in terms of a more basic floor, although obviously like Forever 21 is constantly carrying those, so that could be a great site to check out two under.

  • The same axel is, um, thread.

  • We have some crazy, bold colors coming in the style.

  • I'm gonna call them the crayon box colors because they remind me of those four color crowns that you get with the kid's menu at a restaurant.

  • Bright yellow, cobalt blue, bright green and bright red.

  • I'm going to say I'm no Anna Wintour, but I'm really not a fan of this.

  • As you may have noticed, I normally dress in pretty understated color is so not only am I terrified but slightly repose.

  • I do want to try out a bright yellow at some point just that I think of the statement, and after watching Lala land without the Stones yellow dress, I really want to try it out.

  • Wth Igra reen makes me kind of angry because I think that's an ugly color.

  • Cobalt Blue is kind of giving me war flashbacks to the end of a THG raid, like around five years ago, when everybody was wearing colored jeans or like their cobalt blue skater skirt from Helios or something.

  • So I am not a fan, but maybe I'm just traumatized.

  • It turns a specific fabrication.

  • We have a lot of my group leads happening right now, which is like that shiny material that's really, really finally pleaded.

  • I actually really like this one.

  • I think that it gives a lot of cool movement, although the fabric can be kind of uncomfortable if you don't have a lining underneath it.

  • This time I've seen a lot of at top shop, but it's been trickling down, and now you can actually get really, really affordable pieces at H and M as well.

  • I think these are also really cool because the micro please give you a lot of flexibility with sizing.

  • So even if the dress isn't like the perfect fit, the police well, kind of conform to your body or give you a little more stretch if you have a food baby going on.

  • So I'm definitely a fan of this one.

  • Another one we have is gingham.

  • I think you guys have probably seen this before and I actually have a gale item, though.

  • Here we go, in case you didn't know what he looks like.

  • I have this shirt, which is kind of an ugly one from like five years ago, But you know, here's some visual interest being a missing with you.

  • I like it.

  • Um, it reminds me of a picnic.

  • Take it a little bit, but I think it's adorable, especially in black and white.

  • I'm a little wary of it in light pink, because I think that looks a little bit childish, but totally some people could pull it off.

  • I've really been meaning to get a gingham wrong.

  • Berg.

  • They have some cool ones at American Eagle that are on sale right now, which I might actually go by after I make this video.

  • There's one by Kendall and Kylie.

  • That's cute.

  • I'm sure there are a lot of more upscale ones Thio, but I just love it.

  • I think it reminds me a lot of the fifties or like I'm in a Taylor Swift music video from like her red album.

  • The next time we have is some eighties glam, which is translating mostly again in these puffy shoulders, which I kind of talked about before.

  • But they also have some really interesting metallic skirts and dresses.

  • I know there's a really cute pink metallic skirt from Zara that I've been meaning to buy.

  • I think It would be really cute parent with like a loose gray sweater to tone it down a little bit, or you can obviously dress it out for nighttime.

  • But I don't really go to nighttime events.

  • So I am kind of bummed out, though actually that the fashion industry chose the eighties because I know there's been a big, like seventies movement a couple of years ago and that it was the sixties and I was really, really hoping that it would go to the fifties next, just in the order of decades, because I think the fifties are just, like, so sweet.

  • And I would love that excuse to, like, dress up like a pin up girl or something every day, and it would be normal.

  • But no, they just worked over the eighties.

  • So I guess we'll have to wait in a couple of years or something, and maybe a 50 will finally come back last night.

  • At least I'm gonna be talking about shoes, which I'm a total shoe addict.

  • It's bad, actually have examples for this one.

  • To go for a shoe trend is kind of a more general one, but it's this movement away from high yield stilettos and too low and big block heels.

  • And I love this because it's so practical.

  • You can wear them on a natural everyday basis and was always really frustrating for me a couple years ago looking at fashion bloggers and they're like five inch stilettos and wanting to look like them.

  • But I know that I can never wear that on a regular basis.

  • But now it's like you can totally rock like a one inch fuel to school that's really accessible.

  • So I have a couple examples here are some of you guys might have seen these before.

  • They are some buckle flats from a softy for like, $40 opened down below if they're still on sale.

  • But they just have a really low hell.

  • They're super dainty and cute.

  • These are actually really easy to walk in, although they do poke the back of my heel a little bit and give me blisters sometimes.

  • So be careful of that.

  • I also have these, which are more of a classic there just by Steve Madden, So I wouldn't say that these are percent trendy.

  • I feel like this style has actually been around a couple of years now, but now we're seeing it more with this low block hell, rather than that super high stiletto.

  • And these are like my most worn shoes right now.

  • I will pull these on with any outfit and makes it look so cute.

  • It was like the perfect boost of heights.

  • I can still wear it with something like boyfriend jeans where I wouldn't just wanna wear sneakers.

  • Otherwise, I look really short, so it looks like I'm put together and trying, but they're still really easy to walk in, and then here is a real throwback.

  • Do you guys remember the shoes from all of my videos?

  • Like a year ago.

  • I know that the lace up is a little bit less trendy right now, but it still has this block you'll going on.

  • So I'm still definitely gonna be wearing these this season.

  • Another thing that's happening right now it's shoes is some crazy embellishments on the toe box.

  • And I really like that.

  • I want to get myself a parent so that I compare it with a really plain outfit and then have some sparkly gems on my shoes on.

  • And I think that's a really cute combination that concludes my spring trends video.

  • I hope you guys enjoyed it.

  • I really had a lot of fun making it.

  • And I'm really excited to put out some war quality content for you guys.

  • I know that I've been gone recently, which I definitely apologize for.

  • I was pretty much dying earlier this quarter.

  • So school is hard, basically.

  • But thank you so much, guys, for sticking with me.

  • If you like this video, don't forget to give it a thumbs out.
