  • So today I'm super excited because I'm talking about something near and dear to my heart, which is how I look cute on budget.

  • This is basically something that I struggle with every single day of my life as a broke ass college student and a youtuber who is not very famous at all, distilled by years of broke fashionista knowledge into six tips that down my phone.

  • So hopefully this will be relatively concise.

  • We'll see.

  • So I know you guys are probably tired of hearing the advice to invest in good basics, and I sure as hell am because I feel like what constitutes a basic or just like a really good piece is different for everybody.

  • So instead of just going to say, make sure you're buying clothes that have a good fit and a good fabrication, because I think these are the things that are gonna make your clothes look and feel really upscale and just looked really good on you and make you wanna wear them all the time.

  • That doesn't necessarily mean that they can't be trendy or that they can't be from a really cheap store because Agent and Forever 21 If you dig around like a lot, do you have some decent fabrics that will last you a long time?

  • We'll just feel and look really expensive.

  • So you sure you guys an example about cheap polyester fabric from forever 21?

  • That's like, really uncomfortable and it just looks really cheap, but I actually just left all of my pieces like that home.

  • I didn't even bother bringing them to college because I knew that I just didn't like wearing in terms of fit, particularly for stuff like dresses and jeans.

  • It's worth trying on a lot of lot of different parents in the store, even though I know like who the fuck shops in store anymore.

  • But at the end of the day, if you could get a pair of jeans or good dress that actually fit like a dream, you'll just wear it all the time and you look Super Bowl and super expensive.

  • So I second tip is particularly if you're living out of a smaller space.

  • You're in college like me or you have a smaller apartment or you just don't like over there should come close is to try to buy clothes in a kind of CompuServe color scheme.

  • That doesn't mean that they will have to be like monochromatic, although I do kind of wish that I just had, like, a black, white and gray closet some days because I like you so easy to style.

  • But I would recommend trying to find, like 2 to 3 colors that looked really good on you or kind of a color scheme like past ALS or withdrew tone.

  • Colors were bright colors so that all your clothes will mix and match really well.

  • I personally where a lot of black and white and then the dusty moth pink that you guys have probably seen a lot.

  • I have a few Navy pieces, a few and all of green, and that's pretty much it.

  • I found that if I buy something up by that color scheme, like in a bright teal or like a bold red, for example, like even if I'm not trying, I just know where that piece is much because it's so awkward to parent the other clothes in my wardrobe that I just can't make out, since it's easily so if you just want to make your life super easy in the morning and get the most out of the pieces that you wear and be able to make the most out.

  • It's possible I would definitely recommend just choosing like a couple colors, and then every single piece in your closet will go together and make a ton of outfits.

  • Whether piece of advice is to get creative line comes to your clothing, which encompasses a lot of things.

  • It could be something as simple as wearing like a lie next to your sweater off the shoulder, or putting like a knot in your T shirt dress or like a loose T shirt that doesn't fit so well or something that I do a lot is layering dresses and robbers and turning them just into shorts of skirts.

  • So basically, if you just have a short dress that has a really cute tall portion Thio and you made you born the dress two times as is and you outfit, you could totally just throw wish skirt over the bottom section of the dress and it becomes a shirt and nobody will be the wiser.

  • The same thing goes for robbers, particularly if they have, like not a super illumination with section they could basically just become a bodysuit.

  • And you could totally different bombs over that.

  • If you're a little crafty or honestly, if you're not even that crafty because it's super simple.

  • There's some really easy ways to tell your clothes to make love more unique and like they were just made for you.

  • First of all, basically any distress.

  • I don't like a digitized T shirt or distressed jeans or cut off shorts.

  • You can make those yourself with, like any random item that you found a thrift store.

  • Just take some scissors to a tutorials on you, too, half that shit off and you'll be really proud of the final result, particularly if you're a little shorter like me.

  • And you have trouble finding genes that perfect plane totally.

  • Just feel free to take a pair of scissors to the bottom, kind of rough it up a little bit and give them, like a really nice distressed him that way.

  • Basically, any genes that you find the sound section can become like the perfect length ankle jeans, and they look really, really cute.

  • Something maybe a little bit more advanced is I'll buy like oversized teas and sweatshirts and then just cut off the bottom and turning into, like, a really keep propped up.

  • I obviously know accessorizing clean.

  • I don't even have my ears pierced and even like wearing any jewelry right now, because I honestly have never got the hang of it.

  • And I do like a lot with my hands during the day, so I don't want rings clacking around.

  • But I did buy this watch, which I wear like pretty much every video and every day of my life, which has been just a lifesaver.

  • This was like originally $100 but I got it for, like, 30 bucks at office.

  • But it looks really expensive, in my opinion.

  • So if you could find like an everyday accessory like this, whether it's like a necklace or earrings or watch if you're into watches like me, basically anything that looks really luxurious and classy that you could throw on every day and what kind of LV you're looking a little bit on the opposite end of the spectrum to you could totally use like, cheap accessories from forever.

  • 21.

  • In order to make your outfit look a little bit more trendy, I know there was like a huge choker thing I know is that still going on?

  • But those are really, really affordable way.

  • Make a cute out there a little bit more expensive accessory, but I'm totally Asian girl, so I'm a sucker for that.

  • I buy, like, way too many trendy shoes, but I feel like if you just change up the shoot with an outfit, it'll change the entire look, especially if you're going from like leopard flats to heels.

  • My 50th which I myself have just been learning over the past year, is that your makeup and hair really do make a difference.

  • At the end of the day, you could be wearing like a $5 T shirt, and if you have a new phasing, glowing big book and your hair is all curled, you'll look like a 1,000,000 bucks.

  • It really doesn't matter.

  • I don't like getting into makeup is like a whole nother bottomless pit where you can just throw all of your savings.

  • But there are so many YouTube tutorials on like contouring cut Krys.

  • I don't even know what other makeup terms are that can to show you four free have into your makeup really, really well.

  • And I think it's like a lot of times, just a matter of experimentation on your own face finding what?

  • What brows look best on you and how do we know her eyeliner and stuff like that, which is something that I am still in the process off.

  • But I think at the end of the day, it's like your outfit could be full Chanels your Gucci designer names and your brows could be off.

  • And you know your whole look is ruined.

  • Look after choosing outfit and spending like five hours of my eyebrows, I always forget about my hair, and that is something that I evidently also need to work on because it's kind of just thrown back right now.

  • But I did a little braid on the side.

  • I tried today.

  • In the future, I'm gonna definitely try, like actually styling my hair more because it does kind of take a lot of time.

  • But like a curling iron is super cheap.

  • That's like 20 bucks.

  • You could get one of the stories.

  • You can use it for years and have cute hair like every single day and just like having good probably styled hair control make any outfit look more expensive.

  • My final tip is super quick, but also super important, which is just so Wear your clothes with confidence.

  • Like, no matter what.

  • Your Mary, If you bought it like $1 store.

  • If you're wearing a fucking potato sack like you can look you if you just like, forget with confidence.
