This one for April of 2019.

Yeah I haven't done one of these since last year,

so happy new year I guess.

Hope you had a good set of holidays.

So yeah, let's get to unboxing what's arrived

from you kind individuals over the past several months.

First up is a selection of Christmas things

sent to me from Gary.

Kind of a drop shipment through Amazon.

And they put them in these nice gift wrapped packages.

Ah yes, The Micro Kids, an 80s adventure with

ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and more.

I mean, it looks really cool to me,

and the second one from him.

You know, I've actually never

typed in any games on a spectrum at all.

Mainly because of that friggin' keyboard.

[laughs]

Ah, I would be more inclined to

if I had a maybe a 128 Plus or something,

but neat looking selection of books, sir,

so thank you for sending me these.

All right, got one here from I'm not sure who,

but it's through the Royal Mail,

so somewhere in Great Britain I presume,

maybe it'll say inside, let's see.

Oh, [laughs], yeah I had been expecting this.

So, this is a special physical version of Hypnospace Outlaw.

So yeah, look at that,

awesome, awesome little collectible here

for what has become one of the more fascinating games

of 2019 thus far.

I was actually just tweeting about it the other day,

showing how I was running it on a CRT,

because it felt very appropriate.

I mean, you know, it's a modern game,

runs on Windows 10 and such,

but yeah, it's based in like 90s fictitious internet.

But, it's highly accurate to that time period

in just look and feel and aesthetic and all that,

so when they offered me this promo copy that looks

really a whole lot like any number of

CD-ROM software things that'd you get.

You know, like AOL discs and stuff like that.

That's extremely cool to me.

"Year 2000 ready!"

Yeah there we go, it's on a CD-R,

but a nicely pressed label.

So, yeah, thanks for sending this my way guys!

And we've got one here from Brad in Canada.

[laughs]

I swear, not everything is gonna be a promo,

but this one is absolutely down my alley,

because yeah this is a game he put together for MS-DOS,

so this is a proper DOS game called Lizard,

and I've already played a little bit of it.

It's VGA, it's very much emulating the style of

classic NES games, though.

So, it does actually look or play much like

a lot of DOS platformers from back in the day.

It's closer to an 8-bit NES game,

but yeah still very interesting

and I love the fact that he released it on a

floppy disk like this, at least in some limited fashion,

so thank you.

Okay, got one here from Tom.

Enclosed is the keychain he mentioned,

it is very much up my alley,

and it is from when he worked at EDS.

So yeah, check this out,

this is a little promotional keychain from Intel

back in the day.

It's a 386 CPU die and looks like the core right there,

check that out.

That's just really neat,

happy to give it a new home.

First YouTube channel he's subscribed to on March 18th.

Oh yeah, so he said he was gonna send me these

Fallout 76 records that were promoted in Australia

from something called Stack magazine, I suppose,

and check that out.

I thought that was actually really cool,

because, I mean, not that I'm a fan of Fallout 76,

but I'm absolutely a fan of vinyl.

He sent me two,

like one to open, one to keep as a collectible.

Yeah, that's got Take Me Home,

and then this side is just like an etching really.

You can see there, it's got like a vault outline going on.

I love little collectibles like this,

so thank you very much for sending me these,

that's awesome.

Okay, got one here from Chris.

Oh, no note,

but he did include the receipt from the Goodwill

he found this at for a dollar.

We can bend that back into shape.

So anyways, this is a game I had not heard of before,

it's called Mortalus: The Quest For Immortality.

The ultimate VRML action game,

now that is not something

I think I've ever covered before in LGR.

VR and that was all.

Interesting rabbit hole to dive down into,

it wasn't just games,

it was websites and different related stuff.

It was a fascinating time of exploration.

Either way, thank you for sending this my way,

it's just, again, something I'd never heard of

and that is awesome.

Thrifted this many moons ago and it's been sitting in a box.

So yeah, strange mix right here,

'cause it says ATI Rage XL eight megabyte video card,

but then it also says GeForce4 MX.

Those are completely different things,

different generations even [laughs].

Anyway, that is what it is, though.

This is a GeForce MX400.

I've actually been wanting one of these again.

[laughs]

I had one a very long time ago.

Actually, I don't think it was this one exactly,

I think I had the MX440 at one point.

But, thank you very much, I will use this.

Ah yes, it's from Andrew.

First video he saw of mine was

actually building the Lego IBM PC,

and so he's got this 3D printed IBM PC

that he's printed out, painted

and it looks pretty awesome, I gotta say.

Look, it's even got a little switch that moves.

That is really cool, thank you very much.

I just, I love little things like this,

little computers, aw man.

Okay, got one here from,

huh, I don't know.

Oh yeah, I do remember this being mentioned.

[sniffing]

Mm, that is nice smelling leather.

Ah yes, Jose of JP Leathercraft.

So, this is a thing that he made,

and he was a fan of my videos

and he just wanted to give something back.

He has a leather working business.

Check it out,

it's a wallet with LGR green stitching,

and an LGR logo debossed into it.

I've never had anything like this sent to me,

so thank you very much, Jose,

this is super cool, nice work.

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Yeah, I actually got a boxed version of this a while back,

and it didn't have the card inside.

And, you know, don't know if this one works

it's a little beat up and kinda gross, of course,

but this is a Goodwill find that he found

and said he'd send to me,

cuz yeah, I've been wanting it.

Oh yeah, it's an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro

128 megabyte, the AGP version.

The card actually had,

back in the day I used it to play Half-Life 2 and Doom 3

and yeah, I've just been wanting to revisit that.

Definitely gonna try it out and see if I can get it working.

This is really cool as a Sim City Maxis collector.

Sim City 3000 Deutschland.

Yeah, obviously, something I'm just never gonna come across

here in the US.

Seems to be kind of a budget release,

because the other ones like this have a more substantial box

and like some documentation and stuff,

this doesn't seem to have any of that,

but either way unique kind of thing

and yeah, just grateful to have this sent to me

all the way from Germany, so thank you very much.

This is extremely cool,

I love collecting these worldwide releases of Sim City 3000,

there's so many of them.

and this is apparently vinyl records.

The note is on the box.

So yeah, check it out, the cover art is based on DeskMate,

also a video for Pausebreak1

on Software Records YouTube channel.

I will enjoy the record,

because this is a highly unique idea for one.

Ben Zimmerman, The Baltika Years,

and this right here is made on Tandy DeskMate.

So, yeah, the operating environment,

a lot of Tandy's came with.

Apparently done between 1992 and 2002.

Absolutely my kinda record, thank you very much.

I am curious to hear what this sounds like.

That's kind of a clue as to what this may be.

Obviously this is an Atari Lynx.

First time I have ever even held a Lynx.

Fascinating system, I've always been intrigued

by the things on here.

Yeah, we offered a system and a bunch of games,

like really cool ones.

Of course, I'm like yeah sure.

I mean, if you're offering, I will take it,

'cause, I don't know, like I said

I just have no experience with it.

I've always wanted to try the

original Chips's Challenge on here,

which I do have a copy of.

Yeah, this is really cool, obviously.

I do remember hearing about this now from him.

A pair of 1970s SP11 battery cells

and some UK registered shareware disks,

those are the ones that most excite me.

I don't know, I just have a thing for old batteries.

But yeah, it was all these registered APOGEE disks

from the UK that really got my attention.

I love collecting registered shareware,

especially stuff from APOGEE,

but I'd never had or even come across anything from the UK.

Apparently, it was Precision Software Applications

that handle distribution.

So, you had Wolfenstein 3D, Commander Keen four and five,

Wacky Wheels Upgrade Edition,

Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure episodes one, two and three,

and this one which I think just sort of
