Here's the first one. If someone does something in kind, he or she does it in the same manner. So in the same manner in the same way or yeah or in the same way especially in reaction or in response to another person's behavior toward them. So we say somebody does something in kind. Okay. Good. I guess it's you know, in kind almost like it the same kind or the same type. I guess that's really where the idea comes from. All right. Let's look at number two here. If someone does something in kind, it is done with goods instead of money. So even though you may not be paying somebody back exactly in money probably what you're giving them is more or less similar or equal to money if you know, if somebody else had to pay for it. So maybe it's not cash, but you're giving them something of similar value of the same kind. So it's the same idea. All right. Let's continue. Let's look at ... we got three examples here. That cover both of these meanings. Number one. If she helped you out , you should do the same in kind. When she needs it. All right. So you know, behave in the same manner she behaved towards you. All right. Number two here . Stacy used to treat me terrible when she was my supervisor, now that the tables have turned I plan to do the same in kind. All right. Now I've kind of covered this a little bit because I'm a long time ago I think I did the idiom of you know, the tables have turned which means like somebody else is now in the position of the other person. So maybe when this person was first hired maybe Stacy was her supervisor but this new person got more promotions and one day she's the boss of Stacy. So the table's turned. So now she can treat her in the same way. So even though we say in kind it's not always a positive way. Sometimes it's a negative way. Stacy didn't treat her nice and maybe maybe she's planning on taking her revenge now. So in that way it's still in kind. It's in the same manner. It's in the same way. So it could either be positive or negative. All right. Let's look at the third one here. She could not repay me in cash, but she did indirectly pay me in kind with all the vegetables. She gave me over the past year from her garden. All right. So again this is, this is like the second meaning here. This is the idea of you , you you don't pay actually in money, but you pay in another way or especially with goods that you give someone. So she repaid her in kind. You know with with all the vegetables or crops or whatever it is that she gave her that she grew. Okay. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it was clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
