You can sometimes see catnap as a noun phrase, like as two words. Or sometimes it can be found as a single word. Remember some dictionaries sometimes vary on some will say two words is okay. Some may say one word is okay or some say both are okay. All right. Let's continue. A catnap is a short sleep usually during the day and often not in a bed. So it's not like you're usually home and you're going to sleep. You don't really call that a catnap. You're just probably call that a nap. It is often the short type of nap one may take at work. Yes. Leaning on a desk, or stretching out on a chair or a couch but, but not really in a bed. Okay. Let's continue here. Of course this phrase alludes to the idea of cats. You know coming from cats itself who generally sleep about twelve to sixteen hours a day. So it's a lot of sleep. So they take a lot of short naps during the day. Although some cat owners say they also take some really long naps too. Let's continue here. They say cat naps are believed to have started in ancient Egypt. Egyptians thought of cats as a sacred animal and they say Pharaohs and some of the elite , the Egyptian elite began to emulate them, began to copy them. And to say hey that's a good idea what that cat is doing. Nowadays a cat nap can also be referred to as a power nap. Yeah. You know, in our modern times we want to give it some energy. We're taking that nap to get more energy to get more power. Wake up and then I'm strong. So , but still you might hear both. So we say somebody took a cat nap or somebody who makes it want to sound a lot better ... maybe at work, it sounds like a better excuse. I'm taking a power nap, so that when I wake up I have lots of energy for work. Well anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it was clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
