Hi, I'm Francis,
the host of this show "Cooking with Dog."
First, let's prepare the ingredients.
Chop the onion into fine pieces.
Remove the stem end of the shiitake mushrooms
and separate the stems and the caps.
Chop the caps and the stems into fine pieces.
Now, saute the onion mixture.
Coat a pan with the olive oil.
When the pan is hot enough,
stir-fry the onion and shiitake mushrooms.
Lightly brown the onion mixture.
Season with the salt
and the pepper.
Then, put the mixture into a bowl.
Now, combine the patty ingredients.
To the chilled onion mixture, add the beaten egg
and soft bread crumbs.
Mix to combine.
Then, gather the mixture to the edge, making a space for the meat.
Add the ground pork and beef mixture.
Add the salt
and the pepper.
Knead the meat
until it begins to look smooth and turn kind of gooey.
Then, combine the onion mixture and the ground meat,
and knead it thoroughly.
Shape the meat into a ball
and throw it into the bowl, removing the air inside.
Now, clean your hands.
Then, coat your hands with olive oil.
Divide the ground meat in half.
Hold the half in your palms and shape it into an oval.
Then, wrap the cheese with it.
Shape it into an oval again
and place the patty onto a tray.
Repeat the process and now you have 2 hamburg steaks.
Now, let's cook the hamburg.
Heat the olive oil in a pan.
Place the patties into the pan
and gently press with your hand.
When the other side firms up,
change the position of the patties to brown evenly.
Cover,
reduce the heat to low
and brown the other side thoroughly.
Now, flip the patties over.
Shift the position of the patties again.
Make sure to brown the sides of the meat.
When both sides are completely browned,
pour the water into the pan.
Cover and fry the patties for about 8 minutes
until the water almost evaporates.
Pierce the hamburg with a bamboo stick.
If the juices are clear, they are ready to serve.
Place the hamburg next to the mixed vegetables onto a plate.
Next, let's make the sauce.
Remove the excess oil with a paper towel.
Add the packaged demiglace sauce,
bouillon broth,
soy sauce
and apple jam, or ketchup.
Turn on the burner
and mix the sauce evenly.
Bring it to a boil and reduce the sauce
until it reaches the desired consistency as shown.
Sprinkle on the salt
and the pepper to taste.
Pour the sauce over the hamburg.
Now, it is ready to serve.
Using a conventional oven will make the recipe more delicious.
You can use your favorite type of melting cheese.
Adding the water to the pan will help cook the inside
and avoid undercooking.
If the water remains, uncover and allow it to evaporate.
