And this is a process that I personally use and I know it works. So, let's get started and move in the direction of where it is that you want to go. So if you're watching this video, or really, any videos on my channel, you're likely, right now, in a situation in your life where you feel a little bit 'stuck'. A little bit stuck in the job that you're in or the career path that you've chosen. I know that feeling. I know it all too well. And that's why I'm here, in front of you, talking to you about this. Because I think this is something that a lot of people struggle with. So, I'll tell you a little story. Growing up, I was born to refugee parents... refugees from Vietnam. They came here literally with nothing. My parents struggled as I grew up to try to really support me. And I was their first born Canadian generation, first Canadian generation-born daughter. And growing up, I always had this mentality that I needed to work hard, get good grades, so that eventually I could get a good job and, you know, be like everyone else. So I went after that. I got good grades, I even landed scholarships when I was in university and eventually I landed a great "great" (on paper) full-time job, as an accountant or auditor for a big accounting firm. I chose the accounting path 'cause literally, like, it was a matter of "Okay, who pays the best salary?" Like, that was what my thinking was. And I was miserable. I hated my job. I was working late hours and I was doing something that just I did not enjoy whatsoever. And, honestly, I was depressed. Like it caused me to be really unhappy with my life. And I was questioning everything. I was questioning, "Why?" "Why do people choose to do this?" They choose to do this, because they choose to kind of go with what society says is the "right" thing to do. And that is to take a corporate job, and they choose to accept that as their reality. And I chose...not to. I asked myself, "Should I go with them?" "Should I keep thinking the way they're thinking?" Or... "Should I just listen to myself?" And I decided, "I'm gonna to listen to myself!" I'm gonna listen to this voice inside of me, because this voice inside of me is SO LOUD. I know what it's like to head into your work, or head into the office and you're feeling this uneasy, anxious, disturbing, unhappy anxiety. That just sits within you and just never disappears. I can only describe it as something that's so subtle, yet, it's a subtleness that, that literally eats at you. And it only grows. I want to tell you... Where you're at right now, is simply, one point on this long journey, this long path, that we call life. And you're at one specific point. But it's not the end. There's a whole other side of it that you haven't even seen yet. There's a whole path that's laid in front of you that you haven't even stepped foot on yet. That you haven't really glimpsed into yet. But this is what I want you to do. I want you to start listening to YOUR voice. I want you to start listening to your own truth. If you're unhappy right now, if you're in a situation that you feel stuck in or you just aren't enjoying what you're doing, then you need to realize that this is not where you're meant to be. And I want to help you to take that first step so that at least when you do eventually decide to do whatever it is that you really want to do, that you have a good idea. So today, that's what we're going to work on. We're gonna get that 'voice' inside of you to start speaking a little bit louder. Ok, so, grab your pen and paper or grab a word document. If you're not going to do this, by the way, then there's no point in watching me because that's just gonna, you're just wasting your time. I'm going to give you a set of instructions, so what you're going to do right now is pull out a word pad um, word document. Or grab a pen and paper. This is what you're going to do. Ask yourself, What would my ideal life look like? If I could have anything I wanted, if I could do anything I wanted, what would that be? When I wake up in the morning and I open my eyes, When I go about my day, That's the biggest thing, make sure you in corporate the feelings into all of this. And literally, go throughout your entire day paint the picture. Paint it. Make it as colourful as you want it. Describe it in ultimate detail. Ask yourself what you would be feeling as you experience each of these little things that happen throughout this day. This is a very simple exercise but can be hard as well. Because we allow ourselves to have these negative thoughts that tap in and are like, "Who are you to think this?" "Like, what are you talking about?" "This doesn't even make any sense!" Now you can say, "Okay negative voice, just, sit over there for a little while. 'Cause I need to... talk to myself. I need to hear what's going on in here." Once you do this, I promise you, this is going to start to really activate something inside of you and it's going to activate that inner voice, your inner truth. What it is that you truly want. And it's going to guide you. And the more and more that you continue to listen to this voice, your life is going to change. You're going to start being guided from an inner perspective, you're going to be guided to do things, and want things, and go after things, opportunities, that maybe, you probably wouldn't
