Yes, self-esteem is great, but even more than that I love hanging out with my homies.

自尊心は立派だけど、それよりも地元の友達と遊ぶのが大好き。

So, when I go on Facebook and I see that they have all hung out without me, I get sad.

だからフェイスブックで、みんなが私なしで遊んでいるのを見たら、悲しくなる。

Sometimes my feelings of being left out are totally justified.

こういった忘れられた感情は正当化できる。

Why wasn't I invited to the family reunion?

And sometimes they're not.

また正当化されないこともある。

Why wasn't I invited to your bachelor party?

どうして、「独身最後のパーティー」に呼ばれなかったの？

I get so worried about being like excluded from something or forgotten about that sometimes I try to pre-emptively get myself invited into things.

のけ者にされたり、忘れられたりするのを私はすごく心配する。だから先に自分で招待されようとすることもあるわ。

Oh, yeah. I heard about this really cool place in Malibu where you can do Go-karts.

But then, I realize how stupid this is because none of my friends are gonna intentionally exclude me from anything.

でもそれがバカらしいって後で気づいて。だって友達は誰も私をのけ者にしようとしていないから。

Like, if they don't invite me maybe they just don't think it's my jam or maybe it was a mistake.

ただ、私の好きなことじゃないって思っているのかもしれないし。ただの間違いだったかもしれないし。

I know these things can happen, people just forget.

こういうことは起こり得ることで、人って忘れるもの。

'Cause I forgot 2 days ago.

私だって２日間前に忘れたことがある。

I was throwing a party and my friend heard about it and messaged me and she was like, "Hey, I heard you were having this party and I'm not invited.

私はパーティーを主催してて、友達がそれを聞いて私にメールしてきたの。彼女は、「ねぇ。パーティーをしてるって聞いたんだけど、私呼ばれてないわよ。私に来て欲しくないっていうなら分かるけど、ただ忘れたんだよね？」って。

Totally understand if you don't want me there, but I think you just forgot about me?"

And she was right.

彼女は正解。

I totally did and I felt so bad and I apologized and invited her but it kind of change the way I think about it, you know.

本当に忘れてたし、すごく申し訳なく思って、彼女に謝って、招待した。でもそれは私の考え方を変えたわ。そうだわ。

I was like, oh, now instead of feeling sad and left out when people forget to invite me to things,

何かに招待されなくて、悲しくなったり、取り残されたって感じるかわりに。

I'm just going to plan as many activities as possible, so then I'm constantly hanging out with people as much as I can stand them.

できるだけ多くのアクティビティを計画しようって。そうすれば、私が飽きない限り、人と常に遊んでいられるから。
