字幕表 動画を再生する 英語字幕をプリント The Xbox One will be region-locked, a Microsoft spokesperson has reportedly confirmed with Digital Trends. That means games and entertainment purchased in one country may not work in another. The representative explained: "Similar to the movie and music industry, games must meet country-specific regulatory guidelines before they are cleared for sale. We will continue to work with our partners to follow these guidelines with Xbox One." The Xbox 360 is region-locked, which applies to all digital content, although publishers can decide whether or not their retail games are region free. But region-locking is almost non-existent on the PlayStation 3, a console that answers to the same country-specific regulatory guidelines. Microsoft has been approached for further comment since, but has left the topic unclarified. Another spokesperson told Polygon: "Regarding region blocking, Microsoft don't have anything further to announce at this stage. We'll have more to share later." The reveal of the Xbox One has been confusing to say the least. When Microsoft unveiled its all-in-one entertainment device, it left us with more questions than answers regarding topics like used games and Kinect 2.0. With E3 just 14 days away, we should have more answers soon. Microsoft's E3 press conference is at 9:30AM Pacific on Monday, June 10. You can watch it live at IGN with pre- and post-show analysis and special guests. Until then, stay tuned to IGN.
