No, I'm just kidding, there really is no such organization as drama anonymous where you go to daily meetings and you share your experience, and other people share with you how to overcome anger, frustration, tantrums, and throwing things, yelling, screaming and slamming doors and all the things that make reality TV so awesome. The catch is, reality TV guys are paid a lot of money to live that kind of lifestyle. You and me, not paid so much. So let's just end it right now and here. Now that we've admitted that we are drama addicts, we are one step closer to recovery. I grew up in a house with 19 brothers and sisters, and there was lots of chaos. It was innocent, and no one meant me any harm, but as I moved out in the real world, I took all of that with me. I unconsciously sought out situations, people, relationships that had lots of chaos, things that were falling apart, were broken, needed fixing and were problematic. And what happened was, that was my comfort zone. So if there were no problems, I would create problems, so I would then have something to solve. Isn't that unhealthy? Once I admitted to myself what I was doing, and I decided to stop, a funny thing happened. I lost all my friends. Suddenly if you change, all of the people that are around you that are comfortable in your space will become uncomfortable and they will kind of dwindle away. Fortunately for me though, I was able to create a whole new set of friends. They were smart, they were funny, they were charismatic, they were able to look into the future and see "Oh this is an act that has a truth and a consequence, I choose the truth." They were able to make decisions before they got there. You know, when you are under the influence of drama, there is a tendency to be hasty with your choices, you're just trying to survive. And what happens is you get really sloppy. Then you have to come back later and redo everything that you did before. Have you ever stood there and just said: "What was I thinking?" Well the reality is that you were not thinking. You were reacting. So if you have a choice to react or to act, or to live a life of chaos and theatrics and drama and misery, or a life of just calm, peace, wisdom, control, choose that way. I tell you what, it will reduce your stress levels, it increases your self esteem, and it's a good idea. It's a good idea, a lot like these dance moves, it's a good idea.
