It's called The Very Hungry Caterpillar and this is how it goes

はらぺこあおむしというタイトルで、ストーリーはこんな感じ。

In the light of the moon

月明りの下

a little egg lay on a leaf. One Sunday morning

葉っぱの上にちっちゃな卵が横たわっていました。ある日曜日の朝

the warm Sun came up and pop

あたたかな太陽が顔を出し、

out of the egg came a tiny and very hungry Caterpillar

ちっちゃくてお腹ペコペコのあおむしが卵の中から飛び出して来ました。

He started to look for some food

はらぺこあおむしは食べ物を探し始めました。

on Monday he ate through one apple

月曜日にリンゴを1つ食べました。

but he was still hungry

でもまだ腹ペコでした。

On Tuesday he ate through two pears but he was still hungry

火曜日に洋ナシを2つ食べましたが、それでも腹ペコでした。

on Wednesday he ate through three plums

水曜日にはプラムを3つ。

but he was still hungry

まだまだお腹を空かせていました。

on Thursday he ate through 4 Strawberries

木曜日にはいちごを4つ。

but he was still hungry

まだまだ腹ペコでした。

on Friday he ate through five oranges

金曜日にはミカンを5つ。

but he was still hungry

それでもお腹が空いていました。

on Saturday he ate

土曜日、はらぺこあおむしは

through one piece of chocolate cake, one ice cream cone

チョコレートケーキを一切れ、アイスクリームコーンを一個、

one pickle, one slice of Swiss cheese

ピクルスを一つ、スイスチーズを一切れ、

one slice of salami

サラミ一切れに

one lollipop, one piece of cherry pie

ぺろぺろキャンディーを一個、チェリーパイ一切れ、

one sausage, one cupcake

ソーセージ一個、カップケーキ一個に

and one slice of watermelon!

スイカを一切れ食べてしまいました！

That night he had a stomachache!

その夜、はらぺこあおむしはお腹が痛くなりました。

The next day was Sunday again

翌日、また日曜日がやってきました。

the caterpillar ate through one nice green leaf

青虫は綺麗な緑色の葉っぱを食べました。

and after that he felt much better

そうするとかなり気分が良くなりました。

now he wasn't hungry anymore

もう腹ペコではありませんでした。

and he wasn't a little caterpillar anymore

しかも、彼はもうちっちゃな青虫ではありませんでした。

he was a big fat Caterpillar!

大きくまるまると太った青虫になっていたのです！

he built a small house called a cocoon

青虫は繭（まゆ）と言う名の小さなお家を建て、

he stayed inside for more than two weeks

2週間以上、中に籠りました。

then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon

それから繭に穴を開けました。

and he was a beautiful butterfly!

青虫は美しい蝶へと変身を遂げました！
