What have you done this costed 100 yen The rabbit’s reign over the island is unquestionable, この島は疑いも無くうさぎに支配されていた with heir initial friendliness hiding a thuggish gangster mentality underneath. Strangely, no-one seems to know where the rabbits came from, おかしなことに、 誰もウサギがどこからやって来たのか知らなかった although there are numerous theories. Some say, that Rabbits were invented by the Japanese in the late 19th century ある人は、うさぎは19世紀後半に 日本人によって発明されたものだという as an effective way of disposing of unwanted lettuce. But a more likely and boring theory is that しかし、かなりつまらないけど、濃厚な説は some school children let them loose on a school trip several decades ago, ある学生が何十年か前に学校の旅行で島を訪れた際に うさぎをここに置いてきたらしい and in the absence of natural predators, the rabbits went on to thrive. As you walk around the island you’ll find numerous crumbling structures 島を歩いていると たくさんの崩れかけた建物を目にすることが出来る that are the remains of what was once at the centre of Japan’s chemical weapons program. In stark contrast to the island’s newfound cute reputation Okunoshima has quite a dark history. In the 1920’s the island was chosen by the military to be the primary site of Japan’s chemical weapons production. It was chosen due to its location, being conveniently positioned to key military installations in Hiroshima 広島の軍隊本部に近かったという 立地条件から選ばれたのだ but also being relatively isolated, enabling its production to remain in secrecy. それだけではなく、この島が孤島であることから ひっそりと化学兵器の生産が出来ると考えられた For 16 years from 1929 to 1945, 1929年から1945年の16年の間、 the site was operational producing primarily mustard gas, この地では主にマスタードガスが生産された until it was shut down after the war and occupying allied forces disposed of the gas. As you walk around the island and see the tourists smiling and playing with the rabbits, It can be difficult to believe such a beautiful island, was once at the centre of something so destructive. But as well as the old buildings, the island’s Poison gas museum stands a reminder of the island’s role, しかし毒ガス資料館は ensuring future generations can reflect on the horror of chemical weapons and a dark chapter in the island's history. What's going over there? Plus rabbits plus (me) equals good Facebook profile photo うさぎ、僕がいれば いいプロフィール写真が撮れると思う and it’ll give the illusion that I’m a nice person 皆に「この人いい人そう」って 思わせることが出来るかも Oh, god 寝そべって Lie down, lie down お腹に乗せて On your stomach お腹の上にエサを乗せるんだ Put them on your stomach 変な感覚だ This is so weird 変な感覚だ This is so weird 変な感覚だ This is so weird うさぎ島に是非来て下さい Come to the rabbit island and... Just lie with the rabbits like this くしゃみしてるよ and the sneezing ones ちょっと痛いね It's a little bit painful でも楽しいよ but it's quite fun マッサージみたいだ It's like a massage ウサギのマッサージ but with rabbits 信じられない Incredible オーマイガッド Oh my god そのウサギ全部病気持ちだぜ You know all these rabbits are diseased Chris… 何? What? Come to the rabbit island 面白いよ it's good スゴかった That was real ウサギの大群に囲まれて 寝そべることは僕の長年の夢だったんだ It's been my life long dream to lie in a pile of rabbits 今日それが叶った Today the dream realized みんなも僕と同じ経験がしたかったら So if you wanna do the same うさぎ島へ来て下さい Bunny rabbit island! I need a shower so badly 最近YouTubeのシステム変更で If your subscribed to this channel, due to some recent changes on YouTube 最新のビデオがアップされても 全ての登録者にお知らせが届かないようになってしまったんだ not everybody is getting notified when a video comes out. これではそもそも登録する意味が無くなってしまう which defeats the whole object to being subscribed in the first place でもそれを回避する方法があるんだ There is a quick way around it though. Click on the settings box next to the subscribe button and 「全てのお知らせを受け取る」をチェックしてね and then click on send me all notifications 最新動画がアップされたら お知らせが届くようになるよ and it’ll make sure you’re always notified when a video comes out. You can also follow on twitter and Facebook それから新しくインスタグラムも作ったんだ 1日おきに写真をアップしてるよ and the new instagram where photos are uploaded every other day. I think it's every other day. With lots of cool new stuff on the way, 見逃さないようにね It would be a shame for people to miss out So please like, subscribe and follow See you there Thanks for watching Didn't really work, did it?
