  • The first step is to check the pack and harness straps for

  • cylinder is within 90% of full.

  • breaths to ensure proper operation of the inhalation

  • and exhalation valves.

  • Step 8, shut down the main cylinder valve.

  • Open the emergency bypass valve.

  • And bleed down the air slowly.

  • Step 9, listen for low air activation while watching the

  • gauge to see at what pressure the alarms sounds.

  • Step 10, close the bypass valve and restore the unit to

  • ready condition.

  • required by your department
