once again first things first i've got to  find my friend sharla who just moved to sendai  

and i don't know that much about  sendai so the adventure begins

i'm really sure we're supposed to meet around here  somewhere check out this tiny little shop too and  

i i wonder if he does he know he's got  a no right he's got to know that's open  

i turns out he didn't notice it's all  right we gave him a heads up closed it i  

should be meeting sharla somewhere around if  if i've got my location right you know what  

keep things fun i do want to find her before  she finds me yesterday i did a whole thrift  

store thing here in sendai went to like five  six seven thrift stores and i got her a little  

she has no idea all right let's see  let's see if we can't find her first  

and literally just as i said that i think  i saw her come around the corner over there

what wait a minute oh there  she is it's right there

get away from here there's hornets everywhere  i don't know where their nest is really  

yeah where's the car uh i think it's this way

so that's how how's sendai it's really good um  i was a little nervous to move to a new city  

honestly because you know how much it looked  yeah and i was really sad to be leaving it  

and it felt you know a little risky but i'm  really really glad i did it's it's really good  

um i was mostly worried about it feeling too  city i was scared of it having the tokyo vibe

doesn't um that at all one of the last times  that i came out here was right before the world  

when and before that was nearly it was like  2007. oh my god no way gone into matsushima i  

have a gift for you that's all i'm gonna say i  have this well you can't don't look don't look

you can't come without bearing gifts  in japan but you know i've done so  

many like adventure style solo videos  yeah my god you've just gone everywhere  

it's nice to have a partner in crime for the day  yeah same honestly i've been busy moving i haven't  

really done anything overly fun recently so this  is great speaking of which elephant in the room  

we've been promising people a camping trip  forever we're supposed to be coming today  

i think today was our our decided camping day  wasn't it or yesterday yeah but honestly with  

the way the weather's been that was probably  a good idea to push it forward a little bit  

for those who don't know japan's actually  been hit with torrential rains and flooding  

lately and actually the area that we  were gonna go camping in nagano yeah  

that area got hit with floods and landslides  like three days ago even up here in sendai we  

had warnings about flooding so it's just spread  throughout the entire country hopefully it  

um stops soon we have a little break in the rain  today so things look really really nice right now  

i can't remember the last time i saw some blue  sky it was weeks ago like at least three weeks

i came all the way out to sendai you brought it  what is this it's good you're gonna like it it's  

called tokyo interior but i've never even seen  it they don't even have this in tokyo no i'm so  

lucky you're gonna love it you're gonna be so  jealous all right fine let's take a quick peek  

all right so we were in there for like three or  four hours i made a whole video if you guys are  

interested in our furniture adventure i'll link  it don't show anything that you bought spoilers  

they had everything in there yep so  right here under the sail sign it says  

which means it's always this price love it  arguably that fake sales might have even been  

the best part i did buy some of the items from  the fake sale they got me just roped her right in  

i spent yesterday in the city yes  get a little bit out of the city

so how does this car rental thing work that we did  today we used like a different type of car rental  

that i've never done before and i'm so confused we  just like picked it up from the parking lot yeah  

this one is like a car share so i've got like a  monthly membership or whatever okay so you need  

a membership to do it yeah and there's like  a map and you can choose a car from the area  

and then how do you get into the car you notice  i went yeah the card so that would work on any  

car that you have reserved yeah yeah it's cheaper  than renting from like a proper like rent-a-car  

place right sometimes but long-term rentals are  much much more expensive like a day trip like this  

yeah but i could be better a day trip it's easy  peasy and if you only want to rent it for like an  

hour or two hours most rental places you can't do  that right that's true yeah okay makes it easier

i think so it's called like the the backyard of  sendai as you can tell it's very like countryside  

all of a sudden it's really close to sunday but  um it feels like you're out in the mountains  

i think i saw a path down this way let's  go i gotta remember to lock the car

it's massive the rice is coming along  nicely if you've never seen a rice field  

super up close you can see the water down there  there's often frogs and whatnot in the water  

and you can actually see the little grains  of rice there i love it so much i think this  

is the pathway here looks moderately sketchy  a little spidery i'll go first i'll go first

when i think sendai i always think of matsushima  and the boat tour which i kind of wanted to do  

today but i also thought it might be nice to  do something entirely new yeah which is why we  

come out to explore this area and what is this i  don't know it looks like a graveyard i don't think
