[The Wishing Tree]

I think this Wishing Tree event is super meaningful because I not only got to write a wish for my loved ones, but also I get to donate $2 to charity as well!

このウィッシングツリーのイベントは、ものすごく意義深いものだと思います。なぜなら、大切な人のために願い事をするだけでなく、2 ドルのチャリティー募金もできるからです！

[The Bazaar]

See? This is a rat plushie.

分かりますか？これ、ネズミのぬいぐるみです。

So you can see there're actually a lot of rat motives all around Chinatown.

チャイナタウンのあちこちに、たくさんのネズミのデザインのものがあるのがお分かりになると思います。

Well that is because this is the year of the Rat.

なぜかというと、今年はネズミ年だから。

Ta-da ta-da! See all the rat symbols.

じゃじゃーん。見てください、全部ネズミのデザイン。

This is bird's nest jelly.

これはツバメの巣のゼリーです。

And it's kind of mixed with fruit, so it's fruit bird's nest jelly, and this is the grape flavour.

フルーツが入っているので、ツバメの巣のフルーツゼリーですね。これはブドウ味です。

Suck the jelly with all your mouth.

口をつけてゼリーを吸い込んで。

From the period of 3rd to 17th February, you can actually apply to adopt one or more of these lanterns.

2 月 3 日から17日の間、こちらのランタンの１つ、またはいくつかを貰えるよう申し込みをすることができるんです。

Actually I think it's a really really great green initiative because the beautiful decorations don't just end up in the trash after a festive event.

これって本当に地球にやさしい取り組みだと思うんです。だって、お祭りが終わっても、きれいな飾りがゴミにならないで済みますからね。

Chinatown is where one can truly feel the spirit of our local Chinese traditions and culture.

チャイナタウンは、華人(中国系移民の子孫)の伝統と文化の精神を真に感じられる場所です。
