So I thought for today's video it would be awesome to have him join us

今日は、彼に来てもらって日本でゲームを買うには どうしたらいいかを

and explain how buying games works in Japan

説明してもらえたらいいなと思って呼びました。

and we're gonna go show you guys some places where you can get games for good deals

それから、ゲームが安く手に入るお店も見せようと 思ってます。

So we're out in the inaka (countryside)

で、今 inaka に来てます。

I thought if you guys come here on an exchange

you're probably not gonna be put right in Tokyo

普通です。

More often than not you'll be out in the countryside area

大抵は、地方のどこかに行くことになります。

We're gonna show you some of the shops out here that you will see a lot

今から、あちこちで見かけるお店に何軒か案内しますね。

They're really cool places to buy games

ゲームを中古で買うにはすごくいいところで、

Used, you can get amazing deals and it's just fun to go shopping there

びっくりの値段の物もあるし、来るだけでも楽しいところです。

So yeah that's what we're gonna do today!

So the first store that we are going to is called Wonder Goo

最初に行くのは WonderGOO です。

This is a chain store, you can rent movies from here

映画をレンタルできるチェーン店ですが、

And you can also buy games, they have an awesome games section

ゲームを買うこともできて、その品揃えがすごいんです。

So we're gonna check that out

入ってみましょう。

So we came inside, and they have Animal Crossing here

店内です。「どうぶつの森」がありますね。

They're selling it for 4080 yen

値段は ￥4080 です。

I found mine in Nakano for 3500

私は中野で ￥3500 で買いました。

We're gonna check out the smaller store later and see if they have a better price

後で小規模店に行って、もっと安い値段かどうか 見てみましょう。

As you can see they have all the new games here

見てわかる通り、ここには新品のゲームが揃ってます。

There's also a used section that we're gonna go look at now

中古のコーナーもあるので見てみましょう。

It's always cool to buy games designed to teach children Japanese

子供に日本語を教えるゲームを買うのが良いそうです。

And I think that's a great idea

私もとても良い方法だと思います。

I used to play lots of these really simple children's games

前に私もこういう子供向けのすごく単純なゲームを やってました。

and they have furigana over the kanji, so if you're not good at reading kanji you don't need to worry

漢字にはふりがなが付いているので、漢字を読むのが 苦手でも心配いりません。

This one has practice for writing kanji

これは漢字の書き取り練習が付いてます。

So that's really awesome, and it's Doraemon so that's always cool

いいですね。しかもドラえもんだから、さらに良い (^_^)

This is one of my favourite games

It looks like it's the newer version that I don't have yet

I'm pretty sure this is out in America as well under another name

So if you come over to the corner of the store

You can see they have what looks like a junk pile here

With lots of random used stuff for sale

いろんな中古品が置いてあるんです。

You can find games that don't have the packaging so they're a lot cheaper

パッケージのないゲームだと、すごく安かったりします。

This Pokemon Pearl is only 990 yen

この ポケモン パール はたったの ￥990。

200 yen for some of these games

こっちには ￥200 のゲームもあります。

They're for older systems

旧いシステム用のですね。

It's always cool to check out the discount piles

必ずこういう安売りの山を探してみるのが良いです。

You can find some good stuff in there sometimes

パッケージをそれほど気にしないのなら、

if you don't care too much about the packaging

結構いいものもあったりしますから。

So if you guys want to reserve a game and get it right when it comes out

もし、ゲームが出たらすぐに買えるように 予約したいと思ったら、

You wanna look for this: shinsaku yoyaku

この「新作予約」のところに来ます。

And Chad is gonna show us what you need to do here

その時の申し込みの仕方をチャッドが教えてくれます。

So when a new game comes out, like God Eater is coming out on Oct. 29

例えばゴッドイーターが 10/29 に出るけど、 そういう新作が発表されたら、

So you just take this right here

まずこの用紙を取って、

So you fill out your name, your number and where you live in Japan

氏名、電話番号、日本での住所を書けばいい。

That's really all you gotta do, and the store will fill out the rest for you

それだけだよ。あとは店の人が書いてくれる。

Usually it's free, you don't have to put any money down

普通はお金も必要ない。前払いしなくていいんだよ。

And you just walk away with it

他の手続きは要らないんだ。

So you just hand that to them, and you're good to go

記入した用紙を渡すだけで予約完了なのね。

In Japan, when new games come out they can do whatever they want with prices

日本では、新作ゲームが出ると、値段は店が勝手につける。

because there's no international release

世界同時発売というのはないから。

So basically they can decide like, yeah this game is worth 80 bucks

だから、店がこのゲームは $80 で売れると思ったら、 そうする。

When back home, this would be $60 no questions asked

母国じゃ間違いなく $60 程度になるんだけど。

So when it comes out worldwide, then they'll put a limit on it

じゃあ世界じゅうで販売されると、価格上限ができるのね。

This is only in Japan

日本でしかないんだけど、

So they're like, well we're the only ones who have it so we can do whatever we want

「売ってるのは俺たちだけだから値段も上げちゃおう」 って。

Price it up

なっちゃうんだ。

And of course Amiibos are big right now

今はアミーボが流行りなので、

So you can find those at all the game shops

So this is the store that I'm excited to tell you about

It's called Chiba Kanteidan

「千葉鑑定団」という名前です。

Now this is just one that they have in Chiba here

ここ以外にも千葉県内にいくつかあります。

They're gonna be different depending on where you are

But basically what it is, it's a recycle store or a thrift store

基本的にはリサイクル品のお店で、

where you can get games for really super cheap!

ゲームが超安値で買えるんです！

They also carry new games here

ここには新作ゲームもありますが、

And their prices are a little lower than the big chain that I showed you before this

さっき見た大きなチェーン店よりも 少し安い値段になってます。

So if you can, look for smaller recycle stores like this

なので、できたらこのお店みたいな、 ちいさ目のリサイクルショップを探してみてください。

They'll probably have better deals

多分そっちの方が安いです。

On the outside wall here they have all the prices they will pay you

外側の壁にはゲームの買い値が全部書いてあります。

They will buy games off of you for this price

ゲームの買い取りもしているので。

The money that they give you is a little higher than other places as well

買い値が他のお店よりもちょっと高めなのも魅力です。

And for some reason there's a picture of a tonkatsu on the front

But yeah these are the kind of random games that you can find in Japan

でも、こういう変なゲームを見つけられる のが日本なんです。

Honestly, the game selection in Japan is intense

正直言って、日本のゲームは濃いです。

Soooo many more games than you can find in Canada

カナダで見るよりずーっと種類が多いです。

I love this kinda stuff

It's so much more fun than practicing out of a text book
