I'm Sarah, and I'm going to tell you about something I really miss about living in Canada.

私はサラです カナダに住んでいて 本当に恋しいことを話します

So in Canada for dinner, we often have a backyard barbecue.

なので、カナダでは夕食時にはバックヤードでバーベキューをすることが多いです。

So it's kind of like the barbecue that you have in a restaurant, but we do it in our backyard, on the porch.

レストランでやるバーベキューみたいなものだけど、裏庭やポーチでやるんだ。

So a dinner time we have our friends or our family come over and we barbecue.

だから、夕食時には友人や家族に来てもらって、バーベキューをするんです。

But the weather is really nice.

しかし、天気は本当にいいですね。

It's a little bit cool, but it's been warm all day.

少し涼しくなりましたが、一日中暖かい日が続いています。

And while we're waiting for the meat to cook, we drink beer or wine so the meat will be maybe hamburger, maybe hot dog on the weekend.

そして、お肉が焼けるのを待っている間、ビールやワインを飲むので、週末にはハンバーガーやホットドッグになるかもしれません。

Maybe steak or ribs and for side dishes will have like something that's very fresh from the summer, like corn on the cob or green beans or potato salad or coleslaw.

たぶんステーキやリブとサイドディッシュのための何かのような非常に新鮮な夏から、コブやインゲン豆やポテトサラダやコールスローのトウモロコシのようなものがあります。

These are all very summery foods, and we'll sit around and we'll talk and we'll drink and then it will get dark and we'll go inside.

どれもこれも夏らしい食べ物で、座って話したり飲んだりして、暗くなってきたら中に入ります。

And I really miss that about Canada.

そして、カナダについては本当に懐かしいです。
