I'm giving a talk today.

今日は講演をしています。

It's for this movie that I was invited to be in but then ended up being the opening scene, for it was insanely exciting.

それはこの映画のために私が招待されたが、それは非常に興奮していたため、オープニングシーンで終わってしまった。

The movie is about one of Japan's oldest bread makers, which is in a Sucks A.

映画の内容は、日本最古のパン職人の一人であるサックスAにある。

But today I've come into this area called Kichi Joji, thinking that maybe I could escape the crowds of Tokyo.

でも、今日は東京の喧騒から逃れられるかもしれないと思って、吉祥寺というエリアに入ってきました。

But it's big.

でも、大きいです。

The movie has been running for about a year, and today it's having its final showing in this theater right here in the theater.

映画は約1年前から上映されていましたが、今日、この劇場で最終回を迎えます。

In the opening scene of this movie, I play that instrument that I play the shamisen.

この映画のオープニングシーンでは、私が三味線を弾くあの楽器を弾いています。

I had no idea I was gonna be the opening scene of the movie, so that was a huge surprise to me.

まさか自分が映画のオープニングシーンになるとは思ってもいなかったので、それは大きな驚きでした。

Third stage that I'm gonna be giving my talk on and look how quaint this theater is.

I think pretty sure that things are about to kick off, so I'm gonna put this aside for now.

If you walk down this pathway like, like, way down this pathway, it's actually the Ghibli museum, which is, like, impossible to get tickets for a nice park.

この小道のような道を歩いていくと実はジブリ美術館になっていて、素敵な公園のチケットが手に入らないくらいです。

But just like you n Oh, it's crying.

でも、あなたと同じようにN あ、泣いてます。

Yeah, While we're here, I might as well share a little bit of a fun fact with you guys.

ここにいる間に ちょっとした面白い事実を 教えてあげようかな

You see these boats back here pretty much every single park in Tokyo that has these boats.

この船は東京の公園で見たことがあるでしょう？

There's a little bit of a legend that if a couple gets on the boat together, the relationship will be ruined and they'll break up eventually.

カップルが一緒に船に乗ると関係が破綻して結局別れてしまうという言い伝えがあります。

I don't believe it, Do you?

I did not expect Kichi Yogi to be that crowded.

All right, so this is really fun.

よし、だから、これは本当に楽しい。

Some of you might know that I started with YouTube with my other channel, Shami San Tokyo, where I make videos for shamisen players.

ご存知の方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんが、私がYouTubeで三味線奏者のための動画を作っている別のチャンネル「Shami San Tokyo」からスタートしました。

Well, every single year, two of the girls that I work with called Kiki and I get together in the spring and we do a video of them playing under the cherry blossom.

毎年、春にキキと一緒に仕事をしている女の子2人が集まって、桜の下で遊んでいる様子をビデオに撮っているんです。

We've done it four years in a row.

4年連続でやってます。

Now in every single year the video gets more and more popular than it was the year before to the point where last year our video was shared by a page called In the Now and got like 3.9 million views.

今では毎年、ビデオは前年よりも人気が出てきて、昨年はIn the Nowというページでシェアされ、390万回の再生回数を記録しました。

3.9 million.

390万人です。

That's absolutely insane.

それは絶対に狂っている。

We never, ever expected The reason that I'm talking about this is because today, at the same time that I've released this video, I've actually released this year's shamisen under the Cherry Blossoms video.

We never, ever expected なぜこの話をしているかというと、今日、この動画を公開したのと同時に、実は桜の動画の下に今年の三味線を公開したからです。

And I've wanted to share with you guys first so you'd be able to enjoy it if that's something that you're interested in.

Let me talk for two seconds about how we met.

It's a really simple story.

Back in December, when I went to Canada to visit my family, I was having a little issue with my camera.

12月にカナダに家族で遊びに行った時に、カメラの調子が悪くなってしまいました。

Rocked up to a camera shop to see if I couldn't find.

見つからないかとカメラ屋さんにロックアップ。

You know, as I explain this, I remember that there's a scene I filmed while in Canada that has just been sitting and waiting for this very day.

これを説明しているうちに、カナダで撮影したシーンがあることを思い出したんですが、それがこの日のためにずっと座って待っていたんです。

So I'm just gonna go ahead and load that up.

だから、それを積んでいくだけだ。

I also just made a quick stuff and one of my favorite spots right here in Canada.

The second I walked into this shop, I made some wonderful, amazing new friends.

It doesn't feel good to like point the camera right in somebody's face.

You know, it feels intrusive.

There's only so much of Shinjuku that we could see.

Actually, it wasn't just like that.

So that transition clearly wasn't as easy as we made it seem, but it's pretty good photo opportunity.

But we're here now, and Ueno Station is another spot to get some fantastic night photos.

We arrived Nuno at exactly the right time.

There are no shortages at all of amazing places to do street photography here in Tokyo.

Been backpacking Southeast Asia, Uh, specifically Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan for three months living the light.

東南アジア、具体的にはタイ、ラオス、ベトナム、カンボジア、香港、台湾、日本をバックパッカーして3ヶ月間光を生きてきました。

Oh, that's beautiful.

Just take so much audacity.

勇気を出して

Encourage to just quit your job, go around the world and do something like that.

仕事を辞めて、世界一周して、そんなことをするだけの励みにしてください。

Like so much respect.

尊敬の念を抱いているように

So many of us dream about doing it, but actually do it.

そのため、夢を見ていても実際にやってしまう人が多いのです。

And how has the experience been so far?

そして、これまでの体験はどうだったのでしょうか？

Though, Um, it's different.

でも、えーと、それは違う。

If there's a lot of rough patches, you just gotta learn to overcome and not be stressed out in certain situations where, um, sometimes you might be, Let's say, for example, I was stuck on a bus for 32 hours instead of 18.

困難な局面がたくさんあっても、克服することを学べばいいし、ストレスを感じないようにしなければならない。

Yeah, I love that message to just the perseverance everywhere I turned its picturesque like.

ええ、私はそのメッセージを愛していますちょうど忍耐にどこでも私はその絵のようになった。

This is by far the best part of getting the shore guest around Tokyo.
