Donald Trump was a wealthy businessman and reality TV star before winning the presidency last November.

The peaceful transition of power from one president to the next is important in American democracy.

It calls on the president to invite the president elect to the White House on the morning of Inauguration day.

After their meeting, President Barack Obama left the White House for the last time as president.

They rode together to Capitol Hill.

Were Donald Trump took the oath of office at 12 o'clock?

I, Donald John Trump, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, the office of president of the United States.

So help me God, so help me God.

Congratulations, Mr President.

In his inaugural address, President Trump said it was a new day for the People of America.

January 20th 2000 and 17 will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again, the for gotten men and women of our country will be for gotten no longer.

From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land.

From this day forward, it's going to be only America First America.

First, every decision on trade on taxes on immigration on foreign affairs will be made to benefit American workers and American families.

We must protect our borders from the ravages of other countries, making our products, stealing our companies and destroying our jobs.

Together we will make America strong again.

We will make America safe again.

President Trump walked with former President Obama and Michelle to a helicopter on the Capitol grounds.

With the wave of goodbye, the Obama's were on their way to a vacation in California.

They will come back to Washington to live his civilians until their youngest daughter graduates from high school.

President Trump signed formal documents before a mid day meal with members of Congress outside and blocks away.

Anti trump protesters fought with police.

There were arrests and some protesters and police were reportedly injured.

In keeping with tradition, the president and vice president joined a parade route from Capitol Hill to the White House.

The Trump family seemed pleased as they left their vehicles and walked down Pennsylvania Avenue for several blocks.

On Inauguration Day, President Trump and America celebrate his presidency, and he starts work on keeping the promises he made to the American people.
